SAHO offers a broad range of pet care services like boarding, grooming, avian and other specialties. My Daughter takes her pet bird and receives equally compassionate care as well as our dogs spending time in boarding while we are out of town. I really like SAHO and the great care they provide, but they are outrageously expensive, especially on an already tight budget. Also, if you don't have an appointment, expect to wait a VERY LONG TIME, even if there's no one else in the lobby. I once was holding my anxious dog for almost an hour and a half just for him to get a quick shot. Won't be making that mistake again. Read Less

Absolutely love SAHO!! All of the vets and nurses that we've interacted with over the 8 years we've been there have been phenomenal. My Shitzsu actually rushes to get into the door every time we take him for grooming because he loves all of the attention he gets. Sheila is the BEST!!! I took my furbaby here On Saturday March 10 because my baby had been bitten in the paw buy a pitbull that he was trying to protect me and my three-year-old daughter from he's a 13 lb Chihuahua. I love the veterinarians at SS Small Animal Hospital. I've taken 3 of my pets there over the past 13+ years. My husband's cat passed away 2 years after my husband died. I've never witnessed such compassion from any other vet in my life. The staff is friendly and helpful. When my dog has gone to the Emergency Center in Tulsa my vet in Sand Springs has always followed up with me and picked up the care when my fur baby was released. Brought my 9 month old puppy there April 2017. He hadn't eaten in 2 days was vomiting, weak, just plain ill. They told us it was just a intestinal bacterial infection. Gave him a shot for nausea and antibiotics.Got him home that night, hr got worse, thought he was going to die.Next morning I got him into another vet, they said he had parvo. He survived with use of IV and antibiotics. I am so upset he was misdisgnosed, my fur baby almost died. Read Less

Beautiful, amazing new facility with lots to offer. Staff was very friendly and great with our kitties. Had a fantastic experience when we had to put one of our sweet kitties down...very accommodating, gave us plenty of time with him, comfortable place to spend his last moments together, and more. My only complaint is we haven't been scheduled with our regular doctor the last several times despite me telling them he was our vet. Overall great experience, though...definitely recommend SAHO! SAHO is definitely one of the best vets clinics I have ever used. The staff is so friendly, and my vet, Dr. Metcalf, took her time and was really thorough. Then, after the exam, she didn't just quickly leave the room. She answered about 100 of my questions with a smile and didn't leave until she made sure I didn't have any more. She also treated my puppy with such kindness and patience really making the experience less scary for him. The check in/waiting area and exam rooms are very clean and welcoming. On behalf of myself and my friend, I want to commend the staff at SAHO. Dr Strathe has always been my vet, but yesterday I went with a friend for end of life care for her elderly dog and it was a Sunday and he was not available. Dr Jessica Metcalf and her assistant (I'm blanking on her name - tall and wears glasses) could not have been more compassionate or kind. Even when you have been through it multiple times, it's never easy to let go. Dr Metcalf took the time to establish a rapport and assure us it was the right decision after reviewing what was going on (we knew that, but for some reason every time it helps to hear a vet confirm it). We hadn't brought any blankets, but they took care of it and led us to a private grief room where we could sit on comfy couches and made a bed of blankets on the floor for her pet, and gave him Valium beforehand so he was sedated during the process. Afterward, we were asked if we had had enough time with him before we left and at no point felt rushed. We then exited from a back way so we didn't have to parade through the lobby while we were crying. The staff brought us bottles of water without our even asking and Kleenex. Gold standard for compassionate vet care. Also, I would like to say I have brought in my cats for care as well as gone with my friend when she has had issues, and the veterinary care has been exemplary. The facility is clean and beautiful, although that matters less to me than the veterinarians who so far I have observed are all wonderful. I believe we also saw Dr Walsh and Dr Kelly, two other awesome vets, and I have taken my animals to Dr Strathe for over 15 years, so I obviously am partial to him, but I have seen through going there with my friend and in emergencies the rest of the staff is knowledgeable and caring as well. If someone could please thank Dr Metcalf for both her compassionate manner and professionalism yesterday, I would appreciate it! It meant so much. Please thank the vet tech on duty with her as well and the front office staff for anticipating we would need the water and tissues. I've taken my English Bulldogs here and over the years have had the opportunity to have them seen by 4 different vets. All were knowledgeable and professional. The support staff are great too. I haven't had to use their boarding services but wouldn't hesitate to take my dogs there if I had to. Friendly and professional. Read Less

We have used this clinic for our pets for years and just love them. The new facility is awesome and we have no compunction leaving our fur-babies there for the duration of a trip or just teeth cleaning. At first only wanted to see the vet that we originally started with but have really enjoyed meeting the other vets. When a vet gets down on the floor to hold and comfort your distressed puppy then we feel we are at the right place. Read Less

I've never dealt with a veterinarian and doggy spa/daycare that cared for my pets as much as I do. When we had to send one of my dogs to doggy heaven the staff were so gentle, loving and genuinely kind. It was a personal experience tailored to our family's needs and wishes. I've also used their groomers and am very pleased - one of my two remaining dogs is an ass and the groomers were so good with he. Dr. Kelly is amazing....he worked miracles on my dog dobby. The front desk ladies are amazing and caring, the nurses in the back are amazing, and loved my dog just as much as I did. Dobby got in a dog fight and almost lost his life and his leg, and dr. Kelly saved him and his leg. You guys are the best. 2016 was a rough year for our family losing two babies (Sonboy 10/17/16 and Maggie 11/10/16) within a month apart. Dr. Hendricks and staff were so kind when we arrived after hours in October with Sonboy because he had taken a major turn for the worse due to cancer. There was no limit set for how long we could stay with him. In fact, when we decided to leave after his passing, the staff still asked if we were sure we were ready to leave. Great experience with them. Love the facility and the housing options. Pricing is comparable. Only thing - may need to leave a list with them of all the items you bring in for your pet's overnight stay, to ensure you receive all the same items back. I would also recommend taking a picture. Staff is friendly and cares about the animals just as much as providing excellent service. I also appreciate that they ensure your pets are vaccinated and maintain records. We were greeted at front desk with a warm welcome and very professional help. We did not have a scheduled appointment but we got right in Our doctor was great with our dog and with me. The dog/ George Foreman is in the last month and one half of his life. So of course my tears came. The doctor was very professional and soothed my soul. From the moment you walk in the door until you walk out, this is the best vet experience ever. The staff is friendly and welcoming and treats your pet as if it's their own. The vets are amazing. I've seen Dr Kelley and Dr Strathe and was amazed by the way they cared for my pets. They come in the room and get right on the floor with them, didn't even bat an eye when my bloodhound slung slobber all over. I can't say enough good things about them all. I've been taking my cat and dog here for about 3 years and we love them. Everyone is always very friendly and willing to listen. The new office is absolutely beautiful a very comfortable and welcoming place to go as well as clean and professional. I have had a wonderful experience at SAHO with Dr. Hendrix and Dr. Kelley over the past few weeks. We came from another facility for a second opinion about a hip surgery. All conservative treatments were tried and a decision was made to move to surgery, which will be later this week. I have had both doctors call to check on my dog and I have called a couple of times and been able to speak to either of them or have had my call returned the same day. The staff is wonderful to my doggy baby and they have been so kind and helpful with my kid babies too! Always offering snacks or drinks and there's a great kids area for them to play. At this point, I cannot say enough good for how much they have loved on my dog and have helped us with the difficult decision of surgery. I have never felt rushed with either doctor and have had all of my questions answered and care explained thoroughly. I took one of my corgis (Momo) in there for a second opinion regarding this health last Monday. Sadly he passed away Thursday morning. I had called Friday to schedule for my other corgi to get a bath and shots. While on the phone I let them know about Momo. I received a call from Dr. Hendricks who we saw Monday night and she talked to me for a good while regarding him and today I received a sympathy card signed by numerous SAHO employees. The first time I went here was to put one of my older schnauzers down. They were so kind and passionate and made my dog and I feel at home during the process. A month later one of my other older dogs got sick. Doctor Kelly is the best vet. He is like superman to my husband and I. He worked so hard to save sparky he cared about sparky as much as we did. He gave extra care and love to my animal. I ended of losing sparky in the battle but doctor Kelly made sparky last few months the best and most comfortable they could ever be. In the end doctor Kelly put down sparky with my husband and I there. It was amazing because we had no appointment and he was so busy. He still took the time to put down sparky him self instead of letting assistant or another vet do it . Doctor Kelly thank you so much for all you do. I went two this place twice. The second visit was because my puppy was occasionally favoring their left leg. I was worried so they were able to squeeze me in. I was very upset about the whole process. The vet try to convince me that my puppy needed knee surgery and that if she wasn't better to call him back in two weeks. The vet ran no x-rays and only after questioning him did he grab my dog and proceeded to try to convince me her knee was popping out of the socket. I went home and began to watch YouTube videos from vets that told me how to check my dogs legs. The only time my dog has any reaction was when I messed with her foot. After a week of her resting I noticed that she still would occassionally favor the one leg. I examined her again and there was no reaction to any kind of pressure that I applied or movement of her joints. I then examined her nails and noticed one was cracked on the very leg giving her trouble. I cut the nail and after that she no longer has any trouble with her leg. I paid the vet at the time to cut her nails and it was never mentioned that she had a crack nail. I read articles online that said a crack nail could result in a dog favoring one leg. I am glad that my dog is ok but very upset because the vet would have done a knee surgery on my dog even though it wasn't required. This place doesn't care one bit about the health or wellbeing of the animals just making a profit to cover their fancy knew building. I hope people avoid this place and research any medical recommendations online before trusting their opinion.Read Less

Definitely not pleased with the level of communication that I received from the office manager at small animal hospital. We paid for a puppy package and unfortunately due to circumstances out of our hands we were only able to get one part of it done. I called back because we have a new puppy that needed vaccines and asked if we could just put that towards the puppy package on Friday and the girl said the office manager would have to give me a call back Monday morning because she was out, but they don't see why that would be an issue. I didn't hear back from her today, so I called up there around 1:00 and asked if there were any notes. I spoke with Pam who told me that due to the circumstances, they would go ahead and credit what I paid to the puppy package and I'd pay the rest tomorrow when I brought the puppy in for her first appointment. We set up the appointment for tomorrow evening. Then, I get a call just a few minutes ago from Pam saying that they actually wouldn't be able to make that part of the puppy package deal that they gave, instead they'd have to charge as if it was a one time visit and it would only leave a 20.00 credit and then I'd have to pay for the puppy package. She said that she had to talk to her director and her director wouldn't allow it since it had been almost a year. I was confused and told her that she never mentioned having to run it by her director and wasn't sure why she didn't explain that to begin with rather than tell me it would be credited towards the puppy package I originally paid for and then all I'd owe is the remaining balance of 118.00. Instead it would be a lot more. Poor customer service in my opinion. If that was the case, instead of saying that was fine and making an appointment and telling me how much it would be, she could have told me from the beginning she would need to clear it with her director. Cancelled our appointment and made an appointment with another local vet who is about 50% cheaper and has better ratings and reviews anyway. I understand that it was almost a year and a different animal, but I feel that it should have been said upfront that she would need to ok this with her director before telling me it would be fine and making an appointment for us, while acting like it was no big deal.Read Less

They saved my kitties life. They found something that none of the other vets I have been to were able to figure out. Dr. Metcalf was so sweet and caring. I felt confident leaving my kitty in their hands. I was sure it was going to cost an arm and a leg and I was pleasantly surprised. I will always come back to Saho now. I wish I could give this place a negative rating. The whole process was less than stellar. Pam is the manager I spoke to was unapologetic and I said I'm writing a review she responded "ok." We took our miniature poodle here and paid for 4 nights of "Luxury hotel". We go to drop him off- sure the facility is nice but they said he would be by himself unless we wanted to pay for play time. Which consisted of them opening the kennel to the other dogs. I looked at my husband and said I don't know about it here since we both work from home and he has never been by himself- the lady saw my discontent and said we will give it to you for not the extra charge of $40 but only this one time. I said ok. Only to find out that they charged my mother in law when she came to pick him up. He was due for a heartworm shot-which was $10 they said. They charged $20. My mother in law had to pay a total of $60 at pick up. Wow. Way to nickel and dime people. They stated you get extra blankets and a larger kennel with the "Luxury stay". They threw 3 thin what looked to be towels down. Ok. They also stated he would get to watch tv. Mind you the televisions are parallel from the  beds. He's not an avid tv watcher but this is what luxury I'm paying for??? Also I called back after he stayed and told the manager Pam- we were in a hurry when dropping him off that I forgot to fill out the refer a friend card. Pam stated that "The refer a friend card is only for first time visits and since your visit had passed that we cannot honor it." Again really? Yes Pam I understand it is for first time- it was his first time and she simply said sorry it had passed. Mind you it was 1 day ago since his "first visit." Ridiculous. Not to mention he came home very timid. Please take your pets to All Gods Creatures. The enclosing is smaller and they have a more keen eye on your pet. That place was more of a pet prison -with its white concrete walls and him being put in solitary confinement is not my idea of luxury. Especially when the bill totals to $160 for 4 Nights. He better be fed grass fed filet MinotUPDATE: They informed us that they would credit us back the $60 they over charged. It would take 7-10 business days and it has yet to be credited back. They have taken care of situations with our pets ranging from bringing home a new puppy to having to make a hard and tough decision for an elderly dog. Finding good vet is just as important as establishing your own network of human healthcare providers. After moving to SS two years ago, I researched local services and facilities. I selected this group because 1) the vets are all grads of the outstanding program at OSU, 2) they have full services and new facility, and 3) they have the largest and coolest office cat; I have ever seen that greets you at the front desk. I have both a cat and a big dog that is under their group's care. The docs, techs, and office staff are caring, knowledgable and very helpful. Whether a routine vaccination or an urgent problem, you get excellent service and great comfort in knowing your furry kid is in capable hands. Dr. Kelley was the vet for our pets. We had a cat and a dog, both quite aged, so they had to have various medications and treatments to stay healthy. Dr. Kelley never steered us wrong.
