Today was our first visit with Rhys Cole and his staff. I have a 5 year old deaf and partially blind Great Dane who is special needs and takes her longer than average dog to feel safe around new people and places. The vet is legit, he gets 4.5 stars. The older woman at the desk is not enjoyable or pleasant. The newer assistant is better, but their congeniality is something to be desired. The vet is on point though, so all that really matters. Read Less

I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate Dr. Cole and Michelle for all they did today bleeding pigs and doctoring sick ones. There is no one who I trust more than Dr. Cole. The vets...man, they are great! I always take my animals here. The ladies at the front desk are not always the friendliest, and some are not very knowledgeable. Don't let that throw you off from the superb service of the vets! Read Less

I have been taking my older dog to both Dr. Cole and Dr.Roach for 5years..he has lots of problems and the office NEVER turns me away when I call with any concerns. They have worked him in on many occasions, even when they are full or about to close. I just adopted another dog 7 months old and they have been a huge help with him as well. I can call just to ask questions and everyone is great. I have been to other vets in other towns and I feel piedmont vet is the best!! I would not want to take my dogs (my family) to anyone else. I can say I have used the Piedmont Vet Clinic for over 20 years n I have seen them work miracles and they go 150% to make something work and heal hopeless strays I've brought in off the street, I moved a few years ago n still have lots of animals n very many of them are alive as a direct result of their care. This place is filled with redneck hateful heartless people who are all negligent in their professions. They have the absolute worst ladies working the front desk, one laughed at me while I broke down crying over my dead puppy. My poor puppy was just 21 months old and Dr. Roach sent me home with no advice on what could go wrong or how to care for my dog after her surgery, or what symptoms to look for. When I knew something was wrong with her, Dr. Cole was supposed to be on call working after hours and he refused to even see my dog and he let her die and then lied to my face repeatedly the next day, avoided trying to speak with me, and did not apologize until I told him to. Showing no signs of remorse or regret, he went on to say if a similar situation occurs again, he wont do anything different. There is all the proof you need to know that you absolutely cannot trust this place. Dr. Roach is a coward and has not spoken to my family since the death of my puppy and Dr. Cole is a scum. Do not trust this place with your animals, please. There are other vets who actually care about the wellbeing of your pets that are just a few miles out of Piedmont. If your animals' lives matter to you, you will not take them here, and if they don't matter to you enough not to go here, then you shouldn't own any animals.Read Less

Dr Cole killed my dog after a surgery to spay her because he wouldn't see her after hours when I called and said something wasn't right. Dr Roach is a great vet but I wouldn't risk having my pets see Dr Cole ever again! Read Less

While I absolutely love the demeanor of Dr. Roach and the veterinary staff at this clinic, the evening receptionist was rather rude to me when I called to make an appointment 15 minutes prior to the clinic closing. My situation was not dire ( I am a reasonable person when it comes to determining what is and what is not a medical emergency and I did not expect to be seen that very minute), but I was also told that it was hard to make an appointment as my location is "out of the way". As far as I know, the "ranch call" fee I pay along with the price of services covers the fact I am "out of the way". Needless to say I cancelled the appointment due to the receptionists attitude alone. It is pretty disappointing that the after hours service I have called into before for this clinic has a more professional and "positive" attitude. Read Less

I've been looking for a good vet for my dogs since moving here from Idaho in August. They are our kids, and we want the absolute best for them. We finally found that with this clinic. My hound dog has been having trouble with his leg so I made an appointment here and the 35 minute drive was more than worth it. I took my heeler in as well just so she wouldn't have to stay in the car and the clinic was so welcoming to both of my dogs. The receptionists were very nice to my dogs and I, and the assistant was gentle and loving towards them. We saw Dr Roach and he was great, he was explaining everything he was doing and all my options for my boy Tuckr, and told me if I was worried about him I could call anytime. My dogs don't always do great with new people, but they seemed to be at ease here and didn't have any problems getting along with everyone in the clinic. Every single staff member has been amazing to us through a few emergency situations and provided us with comfort, love and reassurance that our furrbabies are in the BEST hands possible. I walked in here for the first time today and I must say the workers and the Vet was very welcoming. We just moved here from WA and my dog got a reoccurring skin infection. I asked if he can just get a refill here since I had already left WA and after the Vet reviewed his records he gave the okay to issue the prescription (Of course this situation maybe different for everyone depending what issue your pet has). Not only does this make us happy but it makes us comfortable to go back with any other issue we have because like most vet clinics they like to take your money first. Not this one, not only did he review my dogs records to ensure his safety but the vet is very knowledgeable in what he does. Read Less

We were refused service, after I called to make sure we could get in. Very disappointing when you have a family pet in distress. I did find another clinic that went above and beyond, even though they closed at noon as well today. Sadly, I cannot recommend this clinic, even though it is in our community (which we want to support). Read Less
