I've had multiple visits, severe urgent illnesses and all shots etc, for my two dogs over two years and have had excellent care every time. Dr Fleming has been great. Three times they've told me to bring my ill dog in right away. I feel that they helped them get noticeably better while in their care for a day while they ran tests and got meds going. I love the veterinarians at SS Small Animal Hospital. I've taken 3 of my pets there over the past 13+ years. My husband's cat passed away 2 years after my husband died. I've never witnessed such compassion from any other vet in my life. The staff is friendly and helpful. When my dog has gone to the Emergency Center in Tulsa my vet in Sand Springs has always followed up with me and picked up the care when my fur baby was released. Brought my 9 month old puppy there 3 days ago. He wasnt eating or drinking and he was vomiting. They examined him and took a stool sample. They told us no need to test for parvo, stool looked normal. Said he had intestinal bacteria infection. After we got home my puppy got worse, thought he was going to die during the night. Took him to another vet, sure enough he had parvo. Brought my 9 month old puppy there April 2017. He hadn't eaten in 2 days was vomiting, weak, just plain ill. They told us it was just a intestinal bacterial infection. Gave him a shot for nausea and antibiotics.Got him home that night, hr got worse, thought he was going to die.Next morning I got him into another vet, they said he had parvo. Finding good vet is just as important as establishing your own network of human healthcare providers. After moving to SS two years ago, I researched local services and facilities. I selected this group because 1) the vets are all grads of the outstanding program at OSU, 2) they have full services and new facility, and 3) they have the largest and coolest office cat; I have ever seen that greets you at the front desk. I have both a cat and a big dog that is under their group's care. The docs, techs, and office staff are caring, knowledgable and very helpful. Whether a routine vaccination or an urgent problem, you get excellent service and great comfort in knowing your furry kid is in capable hands. They misdiagnosed my old cat and I almost put him down. My wife and I cared for him back to health. They admited they didnt get it right. Bill was over $600. Very nice people, but maybe not very detailed in their work. I moved to another vet.Read Less

Their doctors are good, but their support staff is inconsistent and lack compassion. I have been a loyal, regular client since my dog was just a puppy. My dog was in their care today & I rushed like crazy after work to come get her before they closed. Although I gave myself time to get there-- life happens & I got caught in terrible traffic. I called right away to let them know that I was rushing, and would be no more than 5 mins late. I wanted to make sure I'd still make it. The person I spoke to said that would be fine. They would still discharge her for me. I checked my phone & arrived at exactly 6:05pm just like I said I would. However, much to my dismay the staff flatly told me I couldn't take my dog home- they had closed down for the night. I told her of my earlier conversation & explained that I got an "okay" plus I was only 5 mins late. She told me in a condescending tone that it was actually 6:15. (which it wasn't! My cell phone said 6:05) The part that irritated me most was the indifference and the inconsistency. Whomever had been nice and approved the 5 minute grace period had disappeared and I was left with two staff members who could care less and just wanted to go home. The icing on top?!! They wanted to charge me an extra $17 to keep her over night!! I left extremely frustrated & sad. I had driven 40 mins from south Tulsa in crazy traffic to get my sweet dog & had been turned away- with complete indifference! If 6:05 was unacceptable then tell me so, so I don't drive like a lunatic trying to get there in time. I work in the service industry-- and I know how good customer service works. This isn't it. I am very unhappy & won't be recommending their facility or taking my dog back to their location. Read Less

I am SO pleased with their services to my 7 month old kitty, Ali! The vet and all of the assistants are SO caring and sweet and very good with animals. Ali had to have a pretty serious stitching-up after an abscess errupted and tore a big hole in her abdomen. She has had the best care here and I am so thankful. As I type this I am sitting in the waiting room while they take care of her.Read Less
