Yesterday I had to put my Boxer Rocky to sleep. Everyone was sooo wonderful. I've known Katie her whole life. Dr. Hallman was Awesome even prayed for Rocky. Explained everything before he did it and what could happen. I have used Carbondale Vet off & on for years and highly recomend them. Their compassion was remarkable. Thank you all so very much.

My wife has taken both her guide dogs to this vet and they have both been treated with the best of care. They would even go so far as to recommend less cosly meds or procedures when such were available. Both dogs were eventually put to sleep right in the same clinic with the same love and care they received during their lives. They really do put compassion before profits and, when we get another dog, they will be treated right there. There are animal care places much closer to where we live, but we still go well out of our way to get this kind of loving care. You should too.

Dr. Tim Hallman and the entire staff are terrific. My family has taken our pets to them for years. Most recently they treated my 19 year old cat in her last few years of life. Dr. Hallman was kind, compassionate & was always honest and helpful. I appreciate how supportive he was when it came time to say goodbye to my kitty. Not only was he gentle and caring with my sweet girl, he made sure I was emotionally OK before leaving his office. The condolence card I received a few days later was so thoughtful.

On the West side, easy to find, right off Union. The lady at the front desk was abrupt, she doesn't present a good face for the office. The people that work in the back and vet are nice. I went looking at cats for adoption, they had three. One was too mean to get out of the cage, one was sick and started on medicine and one was nice, but eaten up with ear mites. They said the cats weren't ready for adoption, they needed to complete their treatment. I appreciate the vet taking in animals, treating them and getting them healthy for adoption. I am pretty sure they do grooming, I washed my hands in what looked like a grooming area. They have Science Diet for dogs and cats.

So glad that Katie was able to write me in for an appointment today. Tim was such a blessing, made me feel so much better about my cat's well being. He really took the time to sit down with me and discuss what was going on, and listened to what I had to say. He was great with my little Crowley. This was the first visit to this clinic and I must say I am impressed. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and prompt. We waited 15 minutes before being taken back to a exam room and within 10 minutes Dr. Hallman arrived. I had no knowledge of her age, history or whether she had been spayed. My dog, "Asia" just showed up on my doorstep 1 1/2 years ago and never left. I didn't want to take her to the vet because she was so tiny and I was extemely anxious "something might happen to her because of her size. She is a toy poodle and weighs 4.3 pounds. After the initial assessment, he took her to the back to get basic blood draw and get a rabbie vaccine. She was brought back to me very quickly so my mind was once again put at ease.He came into the room and stated possible bad news and good news. When he went on to tell me that she could possible have mammillary cancer but we wouldn't know until a couple of tests were done. Right away I started crying. He was patient and empathetic and calmed me down saying "lets just wait and see what the tests say". He was patient and let me take my time and ask questions. We will go back on Tuesday to get her lab drawn and possible get an xray. I am so glad I found Carbondale Veterinary Clinic and will use this clinic for all my pet needs.

Great place. Took our new puppy there to get a check up and shots up to date. He was really good with our puppy and explained to me everything I would need to do to get him healthy and also what caused him to be sick. He sent us home with antibiotics and also heartworm medicine. Will be going back in 3 weeks for puppies other round of shots. Everyone in the office was very friendly. I highly recommend taking you fur babies here.

Dr. Tim Hallman is an amazing person and and even better veterinarian. I have taken my pets to a few different vets, and he is by far the best. Other vets have never seemed to really care about my pets on a personal level, they just want to get them in and out for their shots and tests. Dr. Hallman sits down with you, asks you if you're having any problems or questions with your pets, and takes serious time to talk with you about your concerns. He explains the science behind any condition, and why you should take a certain course of action (or why you should not do something). He shared a personal story that he also has a long-haired Chihuahua named Mouse, and joked that mine is "Mouse's Girflriend." He even took a photo of my dog to send to his family! How cool is that? Dr. Hallman has a great sense of humor and genuinely loves being around animals. I will never take my pets anywhere else.

Tim is a honest and a truly genuine vet that cares about you and your pet. I recently put my baby boy down and he was very straight forward and honest about his condition. He didn't try and sell me on anything, he gives you several options and understands you have a budget. He's the first vet I visited in Oklahoma and I hit the lottery with him. I don't live close anymore but I plan on adopting soon and I will make the drive. 5 stars isn't enough for him or his staff, I'd highly recommend using them to take care of your fur baby.

5.0 star rating 12/28/15 I have been to many vets over the years, and recently switched to Carbondale Veterinary Hospital. I have now been there on two occasions, both of which I have been extremely pleased with the service. Most recently, I called because my elderly dog seemed to be in a great deal of pain. They scheduled me immediately. Upon arrival, the vet was extremely kind as he walked me through the process of learning that she had multiple kidney stones. There were so many stones that we decided surgery would likely not work. Obviously upset and in tears, the compassionate vet hugged me, explained that I was doing the right thing, and made me feel much better (as much as I could in that situation). Over the years, I've had to make this unfortunate decision because of other animals I've owned. I've never had a vet who seemed to care this much. I can't express how greatly appreciative I am for that. I would highly recommended them to others

We love Dr. Tim!!!! We have taken our pets to him for years. He is always gentle and kind with Phoebe and Max and is determined to give them the absolute best care possible. He genuinely cares about them and us as their owners. Whenever we have taken them in for procedures or for illness, Dr. Tim always checks on them after they have come home to make sure they are doing well. My human doctor doesn't even do that!!! His dedication and concern for our cats is why we would never think of going anywhere else. He is the absolute BEST!!!

My experience was fantastic~! I was extremely concerned about my little rescue, Trixie, who had a large, super-fast developing growth on her neck. This clinic made room for a last minute appointment and accommodated my demanding work schedule ... even as a first-time patient.
When I arrived, the doctor came in and actually sat down to talk to me, which I thought was especially nice as I was very worried. I've NEVER had a vet do that!
Dr. Hallman gave me several options and gave me a moment to think over things before I made a "move forward" decision.
I was surprised and pleased to get a follow-up call from Dr. Hallman (a week later) asking how Trixie was progressing. I was happy to report she s doing great and back to her old silly self.
Thanks Carbondale ... I will be back!

I brought my Ms. Molly here to get her teeth cleaned and because of drama from a location I had previously worked at (they are not good at record keeping, it seems) my dog's vaccination records were not very accurate and I had to try to decipher which shots she actually needed and which she would be okay on for another year. At first I felt as though Carbondale was assuming I was just making excuses for not wanting to update my dog's vaccinations but when I sat back I realized that they really didn't know me or my dog's history and so they had no real information to go off of, however, in the end an animal's owners know better about what their animals need than clinics seem to understand sometimes (all clinics).The doctor was very nice and understanding and said that we didn't have to do anything that I didn't want to do and so I updated what I knew was due and left everything else alone. We did Molly's blood work and she came back a couple of days later for her dental. I don't really know what on behind closed doors in the back but after Molly didn't eat the night or morning before she apparently threw up food during her sedation (which can be really dangerous) but this hospital seemed to handle it well and gave me a round of antibiotics just to be safe and Molly is doing well at this point.I came here instead of going to Woodland West like I had initially planned because their price for a dental was half the price of what Woodland charged and every penny counts in the end.

I absolutely love Carbondale Veterinary Hospital. The staff is compassionate and always take the time to see to the special needs of my pets. (I especially appreciate Karen) I feel that Dr. Hallman goes above and beyond my expectations. He makes it a point to personally call with updates during a procedure, and goes out of his way to make sure you understand the plan of treatment for your pet. Though I have moved from the area, I gladly drive the distance, and will continue to do so for my pets.

On the West side, easy to find, right off Union. The lady at the front desk was abrupt, she doesn't present a good face for the office. The people that work in the back and vet are nice. I went looking at cats for adoption, they had three. One was too mean to get out of the cage, one was sick and started on medicine and one was nice, but eaten up with ear mites. They said the cats weren't ready for adoption, they needed to complete their treatment. I appreciate the vet taking in animals, treating them and getting them healthy for adoption. I am pretty sure they do grooming, I washed my hands in what looked like a grooming area. They have Science Diet for dogs and cats.

So glad that Katie was able to write me in for an appointment today. Tim was such a blessing, made me feel so much better about my cat's well being. He really took the time to sit down with me and discuss what was going on, and listened to what I had to say. He was great with my little Crowley. This was the first visit to this clinic and I must say I am impressed. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and prompt. We waited 15 minutes before being taken back to a exam room and within 10 minutes Dr. Hallman arrived. I had no knowledge of her age, history or whether she had been spayed. My dog, "Asia" just showed up on my doorstep 1 1/2 years ago and never left. I didn't want to take her to the vet because she was so tiny and I was extemely anxious "something might happen to her because of her size. She is a toy poodle and weighs 4.3 pounds. After the initial assessment, he took her to the back to get basic blood draw and get a rabbie vaccine. She was brought back to me very quickly so my mind was once again put at ease.He came into the room and stated possible bad news and good news. When he went on to tell me that she could possible have mammillary cancer but we wouldn't know until a couple of tests were done. Right away I started crying. He was patient and empathetic and calmed me down saying "lets just wait and see what the tests say". He was patient and let me take my time and ask questions. We will go back on Tuesday to get her lab drawn and possible get an xray. I am so glad I found Carbondale Veterinary Clinic and will use this clinic for all my pet needs.

Great place. Took our new puppy there to get a check up and shots up to date. He was really good with our puppy and explained to me everything I would need to do to get him healthy and also what caused him to be sick. He sent us home with antibiotics and also heartworm medicine. Will be going back in 3 weeks for puppies other round of shots. Everyone in the office was very friendly. I highly recommend taking you fur babies here.

Dr. Tim Hallman is an amazing person and and even better veterinarian. I have taken my pets to a few different vets, and he is by far the best. Other vets have never seemed to really care about my pets on a personal level, they just want to get them in and out for their shots and tests. Dr. Hallman sits down with you, asks you if you're having any problems or questions with your pets, and takes serious time to talk with you about your concerns. He explains the science behind any condition, and why you should take a certain course of action (or why you should not do something). He shared a personal story that he also has a long-haired Chihuahua named Mouse, and joked that mine is "Mouse's Girflriend." He even took a photo of my dog to send to his family! How cool is that? Dr. Hallman has a great sense of humor and genuinely loves being around animals. I will never take my pets anywhere else.

Tim is a honest and a truly genuine vet that cares about you and your pet. I recently put my baby boy down and he was very straight forward and honest about his condition. He didn't try and sell me on anything, he gives you several options and understands you have a budget. He's the first vet I visited in Oklahoma and I hit the lottery with him. I don't live close anymore but I plan on adopting soon and I will make the drive. 5 stars isn't enough for him or his staff, I'd highly recommend using them to take care of your fur baby.

5.0 star rating 12/28/15 I have been to many vets over the years, and recently switched to Carbondale Veterinary Hospital. I have now been there on two occasions, both of which I have been extremely pleased with the service. Most recently, I called because my elderly dog seemed to be in a great deal of pain. They scheduled me immediately. Upon arrival, the vet was extremely kind as he walked me through the process of learning that she had multiple kidney stones. There were so many stones that we decided surgery would likely not work. Obviously upset and in tears, the compassionate vet hugged me, explained that I was doing the right thing, and made me feel much better (as much as I could in that situation). Over the years, I've had to make this unfortunate decision because of other animals I've owned. I've never had a vet who seemed to care this much. I can't express how greatly appreciative I am for that. I would highly recommended them to others

We love Dr. Tim!!!! We have taken our pets to him for years. He is always gentle and kind with Phoebe and Max and is determined to give them the absolute best care possible. He genuinely cares about them and us as their owners. Whenever we have taken them in for procedures or for illness, Dr. Tim always checks on them after they have come home to make sure they are doing well. My human doctor doesn't even do that!!! His dedication and concern for our cats is why we would never think of going anywhere else. He is the absolute BEST!!!

My experience was fantastic~! I was extremely concerned about my little rescue, Trixie, who had a large, super-fast developing growth on her neck. This clinic made room for a last minute appointment and accommodated my demanding work schedule ... even as a first-time patient.
When I arrived, the doctor came in and actually sat down to talk to me, which I thought was especially nice as I was very worried. I've NEVER had a vet do that!
Dr. Hallman gave me several options and gave me a moment to think over things before I made a "move forward" decision.
I was surprised and pleased to get a follow-up call from Dr. Hallman (a week later) asking how Trixie was progressing. I was happy to report she s doing great and back to her old silly self.
Thanks Carbondale ... I will be back!

I brought my Ms. Molly here to get her teeth cleaned and because of drama from a location I had previously worked at (they are not good at record keeping, it seems) my dog's vaccination records were not very accurate and I had to try to decipher which shots she actually needed and which she would be okay on for another year. At first I felt as though Carbondale was assuming I was just making excuses for not wanting to update my dog's vaccinations but when I sat back I realized that they really didn't know me or my dog's history and so they had no real information to go off of, however, in the end an animal's owners know better about what their animals need than clinics seem to understand sometimes (all clinics).The doctor was very nice and understanding and said that we didn't have to do anything that I didn't want to do and so I updated what I knew was due and left everything else alone. We did Molly's blood work and she came back a couple of days later for her dental. I don't really know what on behind closed doors in the back but after Molly didn't eat the night or morning before she apparently threw up food during her sedation (which can be really dangerous) but this hospital seemed to handle it well and gave me a round of antibiotics just to be safe and Molly is doing well at this point.I came here instead of going to Woodland West like I had initially planned because their price for a dental was half the price of what Woodland charged and every penny counts in the end.

I absolutely love Carbondale Veterinary Hospital. The staff is compassionate and always take the time to see to the special needs of my pets. (I especially appreciate Karen) I feel that Dr. Hallman goes above and beyond my expectations. He makes it a point to personally call with updates during a procedure, and goes out of his way to make sure you understand the plan of treatment for your pet. Though I have moved from the area, I gladly drive the distance, and will continue to do so for my pets.
