I called at around 11 am for an estimate on a dog surgery and they said they would get back with me within 30 minutes, well 4 hours later, I call back and they said that they will call me back with an estimate before they close, okay....so I waited until 10 minutes before they close because nobody had gotten back with me about this, and they said oh I will get back with you first thing in the morning! Okay, first of all this is bad business, all I wanted was an estimate for something so simple, just go to AMSH because they gave me an estimate over the phone within 2 minutes!!! Dr. Carley has been my vet for the past 16 years, through 6 different animals and 4 newborn puppies. I would not trust anyone else with my babies. I love the fact that he takes the time to explain everything in detail to me. I have learned so much about animals from him. So, if you don't like detailed explanations and just want to get in and out without really caring about your pet, he might not be the vet for you. But I think he and his staff are the best!! I even named one of my dogs after him (Carley). Crystal is so sweet and knowledgeable that if I call and have a question, she can help me without bothering the doctor. Our fur babies LOVED everyone and so did their humans, even the 4 yr old who put a hurting on their waiting room toys during our visit. I took my diabetic cat there for an exam and second opinion and to see why she's having issues. I get there I waited for 20 minutes before the assistant came to tell me I would have to wait another 30 minutes for the vet because he wants to spend more time talking to me. When he finally comes in to see us he spends another 20 minutes or more just talking (rambling) before even seeing my cat. He finally looks at her and I tell him about a knot on her side which was a hemoglobin from urine being drawn from another vet and he proceeds to tell me my cat has lymphoma because of this knot that I told him what it's from. Really!? I asked him about her blood sugar being high and all he said is I've seen higher and that it being over 300 isn't high. I'm thinking to myself are you serious because a cat's blood sugar is supposed to be in the 100's. I asked him what natural things I can use for her and he said none yet he's supposed to be into homeopathic options. All he suggested is more testing and steroids for my cat. I asked him a question about the steroids and he then gets all upset with me and treats me like I'm stupid and no longer wants to talk to me and says I need to wrap it up because I have other clients. He leaves the room and then comes write back and proceeds to tell me how I should talk to my regular vet about my cat. I then asked his assistant what would cause her not to be able to walk the week prior to bringing her and she asked the vet for me since he'd already left the room and she comes back to tell me the vet doesn't know and maybe my cat stubbed her foot. I went to check out and the receptionist tells me the visit is $106 and I ask her why its that high and she starts giving me an attitude and says it just is and you were late by (5 minutes) and there is a $6 fee to file your paperwork. I told her the assistant said it would be $96.00 minus $21.00. She continues saying it's still $106.00 and I repeat myself then she says hold on and goes to the back to talk to the assistant and comes back and asks me what the assistant told me again how much? I will never come here again soo rude and full of nonsense. I got there at 1:30 and didn't leave until 3:30. The appointment was only supposed to be 30 minutes and most of that I was waiting. My little bichon, Fonzie, was attacked December 10th by my 105-lb dog, sustaining neck injuries which left him unable to walk. A very nice vet cared for him, prescribing antibiotics, steroids and pain medication. But after 2 weeks, Fonzie was still immobile and seemed to be in pain, so I was considering mercifully ending his life. Then my sister suggested veterinary acupuncture which I had never heard of, so I immediately started researching and found Dr. Carley. He examined Fonzie and said there was definitely a very good chance Fonzie would be able to walk again. Through a combination of acupuncture, laser therapy and at-home physical therapy, Fonzie is now able to walk all the way across my yard and can walk on any non-skid surface in my house. His recovery has been absolutely amazing! I can't say enough about the wonderful care we received from Dr. Carley and his staff. They are extremely knowledgeable, and they all truly love their "patients". I would like to say that my family and I are so grateful for Dr Carly and his staff. I have a boxer mix and I had taken her to a different vet where she had spent 6 days for parvo. They had suggested I put her down. My heart told me this was wrong. I'm so glad I went with my gut. I was researching online and Hunters Glen popped up and I called them. They immediately wanted to see her. So I took her in this morning around 7ish. I dropped her off so he could do the tests he needed to. He called me 7 times and gave me updates. I was so happy about that. He told me that I didn't need to put my dog down that she was curable. She had inflammation in her intestines and whip worms. She is much better now and I will from this day forward bring all my animals and business to Dr Carly. He is an AMAZING DR. His staff is so nice and pleasant to talk to. I just took my dog there today and ,in a spurt of gratefulness, I told Dr. Carley that he's the most awesome vet ever. He is very patient when he explains stuff to you and is very thorough . Whatever the equivalent of "bedside manner" in the veterinary world is, he gets an A++++. I also get my dog for grooming there and this is the only place where he doesn't tremble in fear.
