Marina Animal Clinic

Tulsa, Oklahoma
General Info
Marina Animal Clinic in Tulsa constructs each veterinary encounter based on pet spatial perception combined with vocal tone reactions and stimulus integration which enables Oklahoma families to confidently participate in their pets' care. Upon arriving at the facility animals undergo observation during check-in processes which includes assessments of their medical status as well as how they respond to scent layers flooring textures eye contact and nearby movements. The exam initiation triggers clinicians to modify examination flow through posture signals and handling feedback which causes them to slow down or pause when detecting restlessness breath changes or resistance. Examinations involve intricate assessments of coat density along with hydration levels and muscle composition while evaluating limb responsiveness and dental surfaces together with oral heat and abdominal flexibility. Homeowners receive invitations to discuss their recent domestic activities where subtle shifts in daily patterns vocal tones or energy movements provide clues for future actions. Marina Animal Clinic delivers organized diagnostic services alongside immunization programs while monitoring pain levels and implementing aging wellness protocols through collaborative illness mapping techniques. The scheduling of flexible appointments permits either single-step visits or multi-day staging based on the combined emotional capacity of the animal and household members. A combination of visual tools including diagrams, tracking calendars, and photo logs are incorporated to facilitate communication between visits. The concept of follow-up care transcends simple reminders by evolving into meaningful conversations. The process of check-ins relies on behavioral settling instead of mere temporal parameters. Owners receive instruction to observe sensory regulation and activity re-entry after visits especially for pets who withdraw or externalize following stimulation-heavy experiences. Marina Animal Clinic delivers veterinary services throughout Tulsa and nearby Oklahoma regions by initiating care through awareness while maintaining at-home routines and respecting physical and emotional limits throughout the process.

We took our 13 year old puppy, Ms. Klover, who had been showing signs of severe pain and fatigue. The vet immediately took us in as an emergency visit, and unfortunately we discovered Klover was ready to leave us. The staff was so sympathetic to our situation. Dr. Lopez who helped euthanize her, was so compassionate and respectful to my partner and I. We are so grateful for their compassion. We even received a condolences card from them, which was very sweet. We recommend this facility to anyone who has a little family member who needs care. They were affordable and attentive to say the least. Thank you Marina Animal ClinicRead Less

Once about a time, many years ago, I worked here and let me tell you, I agree with the review from the other disgruntled employee. Except, my beef was never with Dr. Haggerty and overall, I thought all the staff and vets were decent and kind. I had a problem with Mary Ann, the practice manager, who you will see mentioned quite a few times in various reviews. If you think she's rude to customers, try working for her. I only decided to write this because I was having flashbacks to possibly the worst job I've ever had. Perhaps things have changed since I left, perhaps not. If you are the unfortunate perspective employee searching reviews and wondering if you should work here, might I suggest even the worst Walmart or McDonald's job as a more tolerable alternative. Went in for a 2nd opinion..the vet didnt care..she told me she can only go off of what her records say even though I indicated my records were different. She basically told me I was lying. 2 people recommended this place and said they were fantastic.. It is straight GARBAGE. I offered to go get the records and perscription but she avoided and said she would need a skin scrape, (One was done less than 3 weeks ago),to make sure no mites althought her skin scrape came back clear. She said she couldnt find that. Had to go call Banfield although she had all my dogs medical records, just didn't care to review the 4 visits from November-January, being lazy, although it all had to do with a reoccurring issue. Came back and said, didnt matter would need to do another one. Also told me that I wasnt giving my dog her flea & tick meds.. I sent an email to them with the perscription and the records id the flea and tick that we have bought. Terrible customer service. I also heard the vet techs complaining about how loud the dogs were and if they would shut up because its so annoying.. very "professional"... Read Less

I took my German Shepherd over to Marina because he had a large tick in his ear, my vet was booked up for the weekend, and they said they would get it out, but would have to sedate him for $40 on top of office visit. Okay, fair enough! Let's get it done! Within 30 mins they had the tick removed and gave him some antibiotics. Then they hand me a bill for $161.00. So I asked them to itemize it and they charged $40 for sedation, but another $40 just to administer the sedative and the list of charges go on. The necessary care is very appreciated, but I got price gouged over it and am NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS! If this was not an emergency, I would never have taken him to this clinic in the first place. Update on their response: Some confusion over charges? The office visit + sedative should have amounted to $85, as 1st explained to me?? The final bill was for $161?? Like I said? Read Less

I have been with Marina since about April 2011. I had a brand new girl puppy given to me by strangers who told me she was up to date with her shots. She was my first fur baby I'd ever owned. About six weeks later she came down with parvo and I was told by several people I might as well have her put to sleep cause most puppies don't pull through that horrible desease. Someone recomended I try Marina first to see if they could help her. They confirmed she had parvo and said we could try daily injections of a good amount of fluid containing an antibiotic and an anti-nausea medicine. I took her in to their office every morning at 8:00am. On the 4th day she woke me up wagging her tail and showing me the first signs of making it through this. I've been taking my baby girl to Marina Animal Hospital ever since and she has gotten ALL her shots on time every year. I can never thank Marina enough for saving my precious baby girl. I'll never, ever trust anyone but Marina. They're the VERY BEST! Ramona & Nana. Read Less

First of all I breed the Dogue de Bordeaux which is one of the hardest breeds to breed and keep alive, so here goes my story. I used this clinic back around 1992 over my poodle's broken leg being I lived at Boulder Ridge apartments on 31st and 145th. Mind you I was only 18 years old in 1992. They did a fabulous job on Lexi (my poodle). As the years progressed - I noticed the Marina Animal Clinic's service and quality of work seemed to decline over several years and it broke my heart because their prices were always reasonable enough for most people to take their pet to for just about any of their pets needs. I had heard many people say don't take your animal there because they are awful. I didn't go back for the next 15 years - due to the fear of quality of treatment I felt my babies deserved. Here's where things changed my feelings and opinion and the Marina deserves credit where credit is due! I didn't have enough money to go to the most expensive clinic on the planet I have gone to for years and spent well over $30,000 at that clinic. Anyhow, I needed to take one of my puppies to a vet due to a severe bout of diarrhea that would have killed him without a doubt without vet treatment. It was NOT parvo, which I already knew it wasn't, being I've bred dogs for well over 20 years now, so I thought to myself, "Jamie, you really don't have much of an option but to go there at this point". This was about 2 years ago. However, I went to them a few more times, and each time I went for the smaller and then to a little higher risk things, and each visit was extremely successful and they diagnosed and treated my babies very quickly. I just had a very high end "extremely expensive" Bordeaux come down with Pyometra. Needless to say she was on her death bed by the time I realized there was something wrong and it wasn't just allergies. The only sign I had that made me think something was wrong were that her eyes looked pretty red, and she wasn't running any fever, nothing else. Anyhow, I finally noticed a small amount of bloody discharge from her vulva (female part). I knew immediately she wasn't in heat because I keep track of their cycles like a woman does. I rushed her to the Marina Animal Clinic on Saturday on March 12, 2016 in the morning at 7:00am. I got there an hour early to try to ensure she was the first one seen, which she was. I had cried enough to make a pond because I knew just how deadly Pyometra can be. The best part of this story is - they took her back, did bloodwork, realized how life threatening this was - did her surgery within the next hour to get the infection out as soon as possible, and it was perfection! If it wasn't for them and their reasonable prices - my baby girl would never have made it. This breed is one of the most difficult to work on. I won't sit here and say that they can 100% save your pet... Because things happen, time can be of the essence, money needs to be gathered, some people don't have a vehicle Etc... BUT, I do want to say that this clinic has fully gained my trust back and as long as their quality of work continues to remain this good or better - they will have a life long client here and I know thousands of people here in the local Tulsa area that would love to know my experience there, and they will - because I'm still a small hobby breeder. Thank you to the vet who performed Echo's pyometra surgery yesterday morning!!! I truly can't thank you enough for saving my girl's life. Her sister Porsche won National's March 2015 in Oregan, and she was judged by a French judge who was flown in being they originated in Bordeaux France. The vet that performed her surgery will be getting a massive thank you in person from Echo and myself as soon as her stitches are removed. People, please don't be afraid to take your baby here. They did a perfect job the last several times I've been there. My girl is sleeping right beside me thanks to their clinic!Read Less

If you're looking for cheap vaccinations this is about all they're good for. I took my dog here in May '15 to have a growth on his bottom looked at. The older vet there told us that "he's getting older, that's just what happens." He did zero tests on him even though we asked him to. He said it was nothing to worry about. I took my dog back in August because the growth was larger. A female vet takes him back and runs some tests. She comes back to tell me that this growth is so massive she can't even examine it, she knows no one that would operate on him & that she doesn't know how much longer he would live with it. I told her how upset I was with the previous vet that didn't even look at him when we asked him to. She said they had no record of him examining him so nothing must've been done. OBVIOUSLY. I just told her that the vet ignored our wishes. I buried my dog I had since I was 14 back in November, thanks to this schmuck. I will NEVER in my life bring another animal to them. Read Less

I took my kitten in to be treated for a broken leg. My cat was fully aware and conscious. They did the x rays set her leg and gave her back to me wrapped in a towel. she was struggling to breath and her tongue was hanging out and she was unconscious. They told me it was NORMAL when I asked. they said they had to sedate her. The next morning she was in major distress, gasping for breath and still unconscious. I called the vet and the receptionist was not only rude, she was down right hateful and acted like I was over re-acting. I waited as she instructed for a few hours and still no change. this time I didn't even call, I just rushed her back up to the vet. I told them she was dying and they better see her now. They took her right back, and sure enough the vet came out a few minutes later and said her lungs had filled with fluid and all her organs were shutting down. She died right there before they could even do anything for her. I was shocked. I took her in originally with a non fatal condition and they killed her. I have since done some homework and spoke with a leading veterinary college. They believe that she was overly sedated. I too believe this. I filed a complaint with the BBB and the Marina has refused to even acknowledge it. Read Less

I have taken 4 different animals to various vets at this location and never been disappointed. Their prices are also a lot better than most places. Their hours help too as there have been times I would have had to use an emergency vet and paid enormous prices. All the vets I have seen are very kind & seem to keep very up to date on things.
