Yesterday my family and I had to make a very painful decision to euthanize one of our dogs.
We had recently moved to the area and had our dogs medical records transferred to this clinic, but no vet had seen this particular dog, but all our pets files were put under the care of Veternarian Suzanne Caruso. Little did I know they had two locations. When made aware of this I made it clear that I wanted to stay at the Tulsa Clinic, as its 5 minutes from our home.
I scheduled our dogs euthanasia for 2pm. Suzanne Caruso took it upon herself to call a rescue group and did not even give us the curtesy of talking to us or knowing our dogs history. This rescue person got angry when I would not give him our dog and blasted my name all over social media as a dog killer. Thank you Suzanne Caruso for your professionalism and protecting your clients privacy. You made a situation worse by not getting your facts straight and communicating with us. I will be contacting the Oklahoma Veterinarian Board to file a complaint on this mater. I’m sure I’m not the first client that had their privacy breached and been dealt with in such a unprofessional manner.
If my dog was able to go back into rescue it would have been the rescue I adopted her from. The rescue I adopted from was very aware of my situation and what was going on.
I just hope River Trail Animal Hospital owners take the proper action to reprimand Suzanne Caruso for her lack of concern, professionalism and breach of privacy.
Our dog needed a tremendous amount of attention to manage her behavior. She was seen by one of the best Veterinarian Behavioral Doctors in the country and had gone through extensive training. We had fostered her at 10 months old and then adopted her. We adopted them, because if we didn’t she would have been euthanized. We gave it our best for three years. Our situation changed and I was not able to provide our dog with the amount of continuous training or attention she needed. We didn’t want to run the risk of our dog being recycled in and out of rescue, because no one could handle her nor see her possibly abused or neglected like she was before she came to us.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE...EVER!! I lodged my Service Dog there for 5 days, from Thursday June 28th, 2018 to Monday July 2nd, 2018. Whomever had there dog there at this time needs to watch them, because My Beloved Dog caught kennel cough FROM THEIR! I brought her back the next day, the Vet looked her over, gave her some injections and some tablets for the cough if it continued. When the Vet called me back about the outcome, he did not like how I was asking questions and my concerns, so he said come get your dog and Never come back! The concerns and contradictions that the Vet said and have on tape and paperwork as well! 1st, when my dog checked in she weighed 53 lbs and when I took her back she weighed 50 lbs: 2nd, the Vet said she was only there for 2 days Not 5 days, so she could not get sick there: 3rd, the paperwork Does show she was there for 5 days: 4th, she was skittish around males, Never been that away, considering one of her owners is male: 5th, my dog has now gotten Worse and Now going to have to take her to an emergency Vet Clinic, because of the lack of Care, neglect, unethical behavior and unprofessional behavior that this place provided to My Dog!!

River Trail Animal Hospital is amazing. I adopted my kitten from there about a month ago.They're such a professional, loving, kind and caring vet, with great vet services. Barbara and Dr. Hooley are THE BEST!! Barbara runs the rescue and is able to save lives by running an amazing, organized and professional rescue. Dr. Hooley is very likable and personable and he is great with animals. Also, River Trail saved my parents dogs life. My mom was working in the yard when our family dog starting choking. Without hesitation, she flew up to the vet as fast as she could, without shoes on (she was very worried), and one of the Dr's there saved our family pets life by removing a large stick that was blocking his airway! They acted fast and an almost tragic day ended happily!! Thankful for River Trail Animal Hospital and Rescue!!

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great facility. Love Dr. Roberts! I will trust these people with all my pets! I took my two new pups in for their initial exams and they treated my babies like members of their family. The dogs were stressed when we first went in, but once they met Dr. Roberts the stress went away. I also appreciate that they take the pups in the back for injections so Mom doesn't have to watch.

Nice facility. Well kept. The building looks fairly new. Great location. Very convenient especially for Jenks residents. Dr. Roberts, was extremely knowledgeable about our dog's issues and sincerely wanted to help. He was gentle and paid attention to every concern I had and addressed those concerns immediately as I pointed them out - (which is helpful to me because I forget to ask things a second time.) Dr. Roberts himself is very personable and a great presence- the kind who makes everyone comfortable. A lovely person to talk to. The girls out front were rather cold and stone faced (not uncommon for this area) but the vet's assistants were very warm and welcoming- they took care of my lil guy and even did a complementary ear cleaning for him. This place has a great selection of Hills prescription diet food for cats and dogs for reasonable prices- so if your 4 legged family member is on a restricted diet- this is the place to get it. They price match as well. They are expensive however. The price of the office visit itself wasn't bad but if you leave with any medication for your pet---- just do your homework or you'll be slapped with a $590 bill like I was! I had to ask them to cut back significantly on some meds and food and that brought me down to what I eventually paid.

I absolutely recommend River Trail Animal Hospital. We started going here a few years ago when my parents got a new puppy. They were very helpful in helping us adjust to our new pet. We also had two older cats at the time who received excellent geriatric care. Both of our cats were put down by Dr. Monroe who is one of the most heartfelt, caring vets we know. She never rushed the process and also has a gut instinct that is undeniable. She allowed our cats a peaceful goodbye and I can't express how grateful I am to her for that. During this period of time my parents got another dog and I also adopted my own pup. Sammy had issues from the start. As a white Maltipoo it's no surprise she developed allergies, food and environmental. I have seen almost every vet in the office with my crazy hectic schedule and each were absolutely devoted to Sammy's care. After being in and out of the vet office every month switching food and going on different medications, we finally started allergy treatment. I am one of those online researchers and so I was constantly trying to find the answers to the issues my girl was having. Dr. Roberts puts me at ease with every appointment. He is extremely knowledgable, personable, and has been very patient with me and my many questions. As you can see we have quite a history with this vet office. Dr. Roberts was the vet my mom used 15 years ago - he really has become like talking to an old friend. I have to give kuddos to Dr. Heinz and Dr. Monroe, both who helped Sammy when she was most vulnerable as a puppy. There is no other staff I would trust more to take care of our fur babies.

My family has been going to Dr. Roberts for over 20 years. He has taken care of all of our dogs and cats. So, when my fiancé and I got a puppy I told him I won't go to any other vet office. Dr. Heinz is who we see for our puppy, Ed, and she is amazing with him. Well, when we were given custody of two older dogs by family when one of them, Mojo, got sick I refused to take him anywhere else. Even though Dr. Monroe had never treated him before she acted as compassionately toward as if she'd known and loved him his whole life. We ended up losing Mojo that night and I can not describe how much we appreciate all the care and compassion that was given to Mojo and us.

Dr. Monroe is the sweetest, most kind vet I have ever come in contact with. She was willing to come to my sister's house (where I live also) to put her 18 year old kitty to sleep. Dr. Monroe has such compassion and empathy for both animals and people. What could have been a traumatic experience was made as peaceful and quiet as possible which is just how Miss Ping would have wanted it. I took her to countless fluid treatments at River Trail on Riverside. The staff was always very gentle with her and cared for her as if it was their own kitty. My sister and I will always be grateful to the staff for being such sweet angels to Miss Ping and us in a really difficult time.

I love Dr. Smith but cannot recommend this clinic for boarding of cats. Due to water damage in our home, we were forced to board our beloved cats for several weeks. My daughter and I found ourselves cleaning the cages, emptying litter boxes and feeding our cats because it wasn't getting done by the staff. Prescription food was never opened or fed to our cats. When we brought our complaints to the staff's attention several times, we were told the complaint was quite common and they don't have the time to care for boarded cats. Multiple conversations with Dr. Hooley proved pointless. We moved our cats to another facility and are quite happy. All pets deserve better care!

I will not recommend River trail, nor will I use them ever again. We kenneled our German Shepherd while we were on vacation and when I brought in his shot records he was supposedly "missing" 2 shots. So then they take him back and we head out for vacation. 4 hours later we get a call directly from the vet, who says that my dog is infested with fleas and he HAS to be treated. I explained to the vet that this is very weird, because my dog was just at the groomer's 2 weeks prior and they told me that he did not have fleas, but the vet implied that in order for him to stay he had to be treated. My daughter and I are highly sensitive to fleas and have not seen any indication in our house or on our dog of fleas, plus we have all hardwood (absolutely NO carpet) in our house. Again, NO indication that he might have fleas. Plus he supposedly had an ear infection that "required" medicine. When I went and picked him up, what should have been a $250 bill ended up being a $400 bill!! They charged me an "exam fee" (which I never agreed to - I did not ask the vet to look over my dog, nor did I agree to any exam fee) as well as charging me per day to give the medicine that he supposedly needed!! I feel they have bad business practices and completely snowed me over and took advantage of the fact that we were on vacation in order to jack up their services and charge more.

Dr. Hooley has been so kind to call me with test results and answer my many questions. Dr. Roberts has been so caring and taken extra time with me, too. The vet techs are loving and professional. The receptionists at the front desk are friendly and refer questions to the vets or techs. A prompt response follows the message. I totally trust them with Susie's healthcare!

I have had the good fortune to find River Trail's Hospital and the amazing veterinarian, Dr. Beka! Yes, she has all the"right stuff" to do her medical job, but her warmth and compassion take her skills above and beyond. Beka has seen my family through the good (?) times, when we are able to drag one of the goofy Labs in after a crazy exploit, and she's there to repair him (without lectures to the human!) She has been there for the uncomfortable times when she had to teach a squeamish dog mom, yours truly, how to inject insulin (and start on the new regime for a newly diagnosed diabetic dog) And for the hardest of times, she is there to help the family say the final good by as she eases our beloved pets to another realm. There she is, with love for what she does and for what her patients mean to her. Thank you, Dr. Beka, for being who you are!

This place is top notch. I took my 3 dogs and 2 cats in today for their yearly workups and the staff was exceptional. Dr. Beka was so patient and caring towards all my sweet babies. She took the time with each of my pets and was not in a hurry. She even sat down with me to answer all my questions. I've never had a vet be so thorough. Love this place and love my vet!! Special thanks to the staff and doctors at River Trail for the care they've been giving our cats, particularly our oldest (19!) who has become diabetic in her old age. We've received excellent care and instructions for home care for her that has made the experience much easier than before her diagnosis. She's doing much better now, and we're back to imagining how many more years she'll be with us, instead of fearing the worst.
Our two cats have been cared for by River Trail since they joined our family several years ago, and have received great care as well, in spite of several behavioral *quirks* they have. Thank you all for taking care of our family :)

First time stay for my baby. I took a tour & now feel as if it was all show. I just picked up my dog after a five day stay. She was filthy & stinky. She also has a large raw spot on her nose. No one said anything when I went to pick her up. I didn't see it till I brought her home & gave her a bath. I also called on Thursday & the "I.T." guy answered. He was very rude. Called back & got him again. I said I wanted to check on my pet. He said he would go in the back & have someone call me right back. It did NOT happen. I will never take my pet back there again. I will tell all my friends NOT to go there as well.

I've taken the fur babies here for boarding a few times. The staff was very friendly and gave me a tour so I could see exactly where they would be sleeping and playing. I think this says a lot about a boarding facility if they're willing to let you see it all.The facility is really nice, new, and clean. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I don't really know what goes on when I'm not around, but the dogs have always been excited when I take them back. Wait times can be a bit long for pick-up on Sundays (when they're only open for pick-up) but my dogs are heathens, so maybe they just take forever to corral. My only suggestion would be for the boarding/daycare to add cameras where you can watch your dog playing. My old boarding place had that, and it gave me such peace of mind to see that they were having a good time when I had to leave them for several days.

Our newly built Tulsa veterinary hospital facility is home to cutting edge equipment as well as a highly trained medical staff of veterinary professionals. Yesterday my family and I had to make a very painful decision to euthanize one of our dogs.
We had recently moved to the area and had our dogs medical records transferred to this clinic, but no vet had seen this particular dog, but all our pets files were put under the care of Veternarian Suzanne Caruso. Little did I know they had two locations. When made aware of this I made it clear that I wanted to stay at the Tulsa Clinic, as its 5 minutes from our home.
I scheduled our dogs euthanasia for 2pm. Suzanne Caruso took it upon herself to call a rescue group and did not even give us the curtesy of talking to us or knowing our dogs history. This rescue person got angry when I would not give him our dog and blasted my name all over social media as a dog killer. Thank you Suzanne Caruso for your professionalism and protecting your clients privacy. You made a situation worse by not getting your facts straight and communicating with us. I will be contacting the Oklahoma Veterinarian Board to file a complaint on this mater. I’m sure I’m not the first client that had their privacy breached and been dealt with in such a unprofessional manner.
If my dog was able to go back into rescue it would have been the rescue I adopted her from. The rescue I adopted from was very aware of my situation and what was going on.
I just hope River Trail Animal Hospital owners take the proper action to reprimand Suzanne Caruso for her lack of concern, professionalism and breach of privacy.
Our dog needed a tremendous amount of attention to manage her behavior. She was seen by one of the best Veterinarian Behavioral Doctors in the country and had gone through extensive training. We had fostered her at 10 months old and then adopted her. We adopted them, because if we didn’t she would have been euthanized. We gave it our best for three years. Our situation changed and I was not able to provide our dog with the amount of continuous training or attention she needed. We didn’t want to run the risk of our dog being recycled in and out of rescue, because no one could handle her nor see her possibly abused or neglected like she was before she came to us.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE...EVER!! I lodged my Service Dog there for 5 days, from Thursday June 28th, 2018 to Monday July 2nd, 2018. Whomever had there dog there at this time needs to watch them, because My Beloved Dog caught kennel cough FROM THEIR! I brought her back the next day, the Vet looked her over, gave her some injections and some tablets for the cough if it continued. When the Vet called me back about the outcome, he did not like how I was asking questions and my concerns, so he said come get your dog and Never come back! The concerns and contradictions that the Vet said and have on tape and paperwork as well! 1st, when my dog checked in she weighed 53 lbs and when I took her back she weighed 50 lbs: 2nd, the Vet said she was only there for 2 days Not 5 days, so she could not get sick there: 3rd, the paperwork Does show she was there for 5 days: 4th, she was skittish around males, Never been that away, considering one of her owners is male: 5th, my dog has now gotten Worse and Now going to have to take her to an emergency Vet Clinic, because of the lack of Care, neglect, unethical behavior and unprofessional behavior that this place provided to My Dog!!

River Trail Animal Hospital is amazing. I adopted my kitten from there about a month ago.They're such a professional, loving, kind and caring vet, with great vet services. Barbara and Dr. Hooley are THE BEST!! Barbara runs the rescue and is able to save lives by running an amazing, organized and professional rescue. Dr. Hooley is very likable and personable and he is great with animals. Also, River Trail saved my parents dogs life. My mom was working in the yard when our family dog starting choking. Without hesitation, she flew up to the vet as fast as she could, without shoes on (she was very worried), and one of the Dr's there saved our family pets life by removing a large stick that was blocking his airway! They acted fast and an almost tragic day ended happily!! Thankful for River Trail Animal Hospital and Rescue!!

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great facility. Love Dr. Roberts! I will trust these people with all my pets! I took my two new pups in for their initial exams and they treated my babies like members of their family. The dogs were stressed when we first went in, but once they met Dr. Roberts the stress went away. I also appreciate that they take the pups in the back for injections so Mom doesn't have to watch.

Nice facility. Well kept. The building looks fairly new. Great location. Very convenient especially for Jenks residents. Dr. Roberts, was extremely knowledgeable about our dog's issues and sincerely wanted to help. He was gentle and paid attention to every concern I had and addressed those concerns immediately as I pointed them out - (which is helpful to me because I forget to ask things a second time.) Dr. Roberts himself is very personable and a great presence- the kind who makes everyone comfortable. A lovely person to talk to. The girls out front were rather cold and stone faced (not uncommon for this area) but the vet's assistants were very warm and welcoming- they took care of my lil guy and even did a complementary ear cleaning for him. This place has a great selection of Hills prescription diet food for cats and dogs for reasonable prices- so if your 4 legged family member is on a restricted diet- this is the place to get it. They price match as well. They are expensive however. The price of the office visit itself wasn't bad but if you leave with any medication for your pet---- just do your homework or you'll be slapped with a $590 bill like I was! I had to ask them to cut back significantly on some meds and food and that brought me down to what I eventually paid.

I absolutely recommend River Trail Animal Hospital. We started going here a few years ago when my parents got a new puppy. They were very helpful in helping us adjust to our new pet. We also had two older cats at the time who received excellent geriatric care. Both of our cats were put down by Dr. Monroe who is one of the most heartfelt, caring vets we know. She never rushed the process and also has a gut instinct that is undeniable. She allowed our cats a peaceful goodbye and I can't express how grateful I am to her for that. During this period of time my parents got another dog and I also adopted my own pup. Sammy had issues from the start. As a white Maltipoo it's no surprise she developed allergies, food and environmental. I have seen almost every vet in the office with my crazy hectic schedule and each were absolutely devoted to Sammy's care. After being in and out of the vet office every month switching food and going on different medications, we finally started allergy treatment. I am one of those online researchers and so I was constantly trying to find the answers to the issues my girl was having. Dr. Roberts puts me at ease with every appointment. He is extremely knowledgable, personable, and has been very patient with me and my many questions. As you can see we have quite a history with this vet office. Dr. Roberts was the vet my mom used 15 years ago - he really has become like talking to an old friend. I have to give kuddos to Dr. Heinz and Dr. Monroe, both who helped Sammy when she was most vulnerable as a puppy. There is no other staff I would trust more to take care of our fur babies.

My family has been going to Dr. Roberts for over 20 years. He has taken care of all of our dogs and cats. So, when my fiancé and I got a puppy I told him I won't go to any other vet office. Dr. Heinz is who we see for our puppy, Ed, and she is amazing with him. Well, when we were given custody of two older dogs by family when one of them, Mojo, got sick I refused to take him anywhere else. Even though Dr. Monroe had never treated him before she acted as compassionately toward as if she'd known and loved him his whole life. We ended up losing Mojo that night and I can not describe how much we appreciate all the care and compassion that was given to Mojo and us.

Dr. Monroe is the sweetest, most kind vet I have ever come in contact with. She was willing to come to my sister's house (where I live also) to put her 18 year old kitty to sleep. Dr. Monroe has such compassion and empathy for both animals and people. What could have been a traumatic experience was made as peaceful and quiet as possible which is just how Miss Ping would have wanted it. I took her to countless fluid treatments at River Trail on Riverside. The staff was always very gentle with her and cared for her as if it was their own kitty. My sister and I will always be grateful to the staff for being such sweet angels to Miss Ping and us in a really difficult time.

I love Dr. Smith but cannot recommend this clinic for boarding of cats. Due to water damage in our home, we were forced to board our beloved cats for several weeks. My daughter and I found ourselves cleaning the cages, emptying litter boxes and feeding our cats because it wasn't getting done by the staff. Prescription food was never opened or fed to our cats. When we brought our complaints to the staff's attention several times, we were told the complaint was quite common and they don't have the time to care for boarded cats. Multiple conversations with Dr. Hooley proved pointless. We moved our cats to another facility and are quite happy. All pets deserve better care!

I will not recommend River trail, nor will I use them ever again. We kenneled our German Shepherd while we were on vacation and when I brought in his shot records he was supposedly "missing" 2 shots. So then they take him back and we head out for vacation. 4 hours later we get a call directly from the vet, who says that my dog is infested with fleas and he HAS to be treated. I explained to the vet that this is very weird, because my dog was just at the groomer's 2 weeks prior and they told me that he did not have fleas, but the vet implied that in order for him to stay he had to be treated. My daughter and I are highly sensitive to fleas and have not seen any indication in our house or on our dog of fleas, plus we have all hardwood (absolutely NO carpet) in our house. Again, NO indication that he might have fleas. Plus he supposedly had an ear infection that "required" medicine. When I went and picked him up, what should have been a $250 bill ended up being a $400 bill!! They charged me an "exam fee" (which I never agreed to - I did not ask the vet to look over my dog, nor did I agree to any exam fee) as well as charging me per day to give the medicine that he supposedly needed!! I feel they have bad business practices and completely snowed me over and took advantage of the fact that we were on vacation in order to jack up their services and charge more.

Dr. Hooley has been so kind to call me with test results and answer my many questions. Dr. Roberts has been so caring and taken extra time with me, too. The vet techs are loving and professional. The receptionists at the front desk are friendly and refer questions to the vets or techs. A prompt response follows the message. I totally trust them with Susie's healthcare!

I have had the good fortune to find River Trail's Hospital and the amazing veterinarian, Dr. Beka! Yes, she has all the"right stuff" to do her medical job, but her warmth and compassion take her skills above and beyond. Beka has seen my family through the good (?) times, when we are able to drag one of the goofy Labs in after a crazy exploit, and she's there to repair him (without lectures to the human!) She has been there for the uncomfortable times when she had to teach a squeamish dog mom, yours truly, how to inject insulin (and start on the new regime for a newly diagnosed diabetic dog) And for the hardest of times, she is there to help the family say the final good by as she eases our beloved pets to another realm. There she is, with love for what she does and for what her patients mean to her. Thank you, Dr. Beka, for being who you are!

This place is top notch. I took my 3 dogs and 2 cats in today for their yearly workups and the staff was exceptional. Dr. Beka was so patient and caring towards all my sweet babies. She took the time with each of my pets and was not in a hurry. She even sat down with me to answer all my questions. I've never had a vet be so thorough. Love this place and love my vet!! Special thanks to the staff and doctors at River Trail for the care they've been giving our cats, particularly our oldest (19!) who has become diabetic in her old age. We've received excellent care and instructions for home care for her that has made the experience much easier than before her diagnosis. She's doing much better now, and we're back to imagining how many more years she'll be with us, instead of fearing the worst.
Our two cats have been cared for by River Trail since they joined our family several years ago, and have received great care as well, in spite of several behavioral *quirks* they have. Thank you all for taking care of our family :)

First time stay for my baby. I took a tour & now feel as if it was all show. I just picked up my dog after a five day stay. She was filthy & stinky. She also has a large raw spot on her nose. No one said anything when I went to pick her up. I didn't see it till I brought her home & gave her a bath. I also called on Thursday & the "I.T." guy answered. He was very rude. Called back & got him again. I said I wanted to check on my pet. He said he would go in the back & have someone call me right back. It did NOT happen. I will never take my pet back there again. I will tell all my friends NOT to go there as well.

I've taken the fur babies here for boarding a few times. The staff was very friendly and gave me a tour so I could see exactly where they would be sleeping and playing. I think this says a lot about a boarding facility if they're willing to let you see it all.The facility is really nice, new, and clean. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I don't really know what goes on when I'm not around, but the dogs have always been excited when I take them back. Wait times can be a bit long for pick-up on Sundays (when they're only open for pick-up) but my dogs are heathens, so maybe they just take forever to corral. My only suggestion would be for the boarding/daycare to add cameras where you can watch your dog playing. My old boarding place had that, and it gave me such peace of mind to see that they were having a good time when I had to leave them for several days.
