I took my cat in because she has had behavioral problems since I found her, 4 years ago, but they have intensified since the death of my older cat in October. She is not exhibiting ANY new behavioral problems, which I explained to the vet. The vet said we might need to put her on medication, but I asked for medication that wouldn’t cause health issues. The vet said she’d do some research and get back to me, and she never did. When I called to dispute the charges, the vet said she wanted to run a bunch of tests to see if my cat was healthy, but this was NEVER stated in the initial exam. If she was really concerned about my pet as the office manager explained, surely she would have been concerned in the initial office visit. Nothing about her behavior or her exam prompted her to think anything else was wrong but anxiety, which she stated was the problem. I smell bull! She even put dental issues on my receipt and NOTHING about behavior. I’m not sure what the vet was up to, but I’m sure she just wanted to get rid of me. They did give me a refund, but the manager argued with me the whole time! I don’t recommend this place! Read Less

I found out about this clinic through a friend, who spoke very highly of their service and care for their animals. As a result, I have taken my puppy to this clinic for several reasons. However, I have been extremely dissatisfied with all of their services. The first time was a regular check-up. My appointment was scheduled, but the doctor put off seeing my dog for another patient for an hour and a half. The next time I used their grooming service, which my dog still seemed to have long nails, dirty ears, and a funky smell to her. I have not used their grooming services since, as it was a waste of time and money. After that, I used their boarding services twice. After the first time, I really should not have returned. My puppy went through a growth spurt while staying with the clinic, and I was never contacted about concerns with her body weight and well being. When I picked her up, her ribs were sticking out due to not being fed enough. I also suspect she wasn’t eating, yet nothing was said to me. Also, even more concerning, they were giving her sedatives for separation anxiety without even attempting to contact me or the emergency contact I left. All and all, the most frustrating part was that I called the clinic to check up on her, and they said she was great. No comments about her body weight, separation anxiety, or sedatives. The second time I boarded her, she came back with a spot rubbed completely raw on her nose, and the staff had zero explanation of how this may have happened. They also completely failed to following my feeding instructions, which I verbally gave them as well as writing the directions on a bag that was left unopened upon return. The prices this clinic offers appear to be amazing, but you get what you pay for. Take your pets elsewhere- they are worth more than the little this clinic has to offer. Read Less

We love Sheridan Road Veterinary Clinic, and always recommend it to our friends. The staff and techs are lovely, LeAnn the groomer is terrific, and Dr. Olson is the best vet we have ever had. We love her! We have moved all the way across town, and still drive there for grooming and health and dental care. We appreciate not just their skill and professionalism, but also their kindness and compassion. Our pets are an important part of the family and it is a relief to know they will receive the very best care and be treated with kindness. Recently our Maltese-Yorkie had developed an issue with chewing and licking his feet constantly, so we went to see the crew at Sheridan Road. Upon entering the lobby, we were immediately greeted by a friendly and helpful staff that were quick to get our pup checked in and seen by one of their awesome doctors. Upon being called back to an exam room, we were introduced to Dr. Olson who took plenty of time and patience to find out our situation and symptoms. Her upbeat attitude and wealth of knowledge quickly put us at ease as she diagnosed and treated what turned out to be allergies . Dr. Olson recommended a monthly shot and our little guy is back to his old self! We absolutely love this place and will continue to use and recommend them to everyone we meet! Read Less

I'm so sad Dr Conklin sold out to a coporation. Most everyone I knew is gone. I will say Dr Olsen has gone above the call and duty to help my boy Buddy. I will stay with her for Buddy. My other fur babes I will use Dr Applebaum. Dr Olsen is wonderful! But I have a problem with the corporate part. I want my vet to have some freedom. Per their new rules I scheduled an appt for my dog. I arrived early and another customer walked in after me. They delayed my appt and instead took the one behind me. I asked about the time slotted for me, and was told, they only have 1 Vet on today and she would be with me shortly. I was then left in Rm #3 for 15 - 20 mins waiting. If they aren't going to honor the appt time, why demand one?!? Read Less

I love this place. I have major social anxiety (probably why I have so many dogs) but I have never once felt weird here. The staff is so sweet, and understanding. We have been through several major surgeries with them and they were amazing. We love the groomer too. I know they treat everyone the same but I always feel like I'm special there, they call and check on the dogs as well as send email reminders for everything, I need that! Read Less

I love sheridan road clinic. I've been going there for years and have always had SUPERB and loving service and interactions with all the staff. I've had emergencies and had to get my dogs in right then and there and they've never had a problem with saying come on in right now. I had to have my Petey put to sleep unexpectedly there and they were so sweet and let me stay in the room with him as long as I needed. Then sent me a card in the following days. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a new vet.Read Less

Facebook Friends, Please be aware that Sheridan Road Veterinary has sold out to a large corporation, with none of the old Doctors and staff are still employed there, with this being said, I made an appointment for Gracie and Bam Bam to get a bath and Bam Bam his vaccination for the year on Thursday, dropped them off, they told me they would call when they was ready, no call at 5:00, so I called them and they had been ready since noon, pick them up, after I was home, I was looking at the Invoice, and noticed they had the patient down as Gracie, I called on Friday morning, with my Concern of thinking, they gave Gracie the Vaccination instead of Bam Bam getting the run a round, and told I should read my invoice closer, I stopped by the clinic this morning, to ask them to show me Where Bam Bam was listed on my invoice, when they could not find it, they printed out a new invoice with Bam Bam name on it, and wanted my invoice with Gracie's name on it, not on my watch, when I ask them to describe the dog they gave the vaccination to, they did not remember, that was per the office manager, please think twice before, they harm someones fur baby, please feel free to read the the post on my Facebook page, to see all the other complaints. Haven't given this place 2 thoughts since I quit using them. Then my friend posted about a problem he had with the staff and it brought it all back to me. My dogs were patients there since Dr. Conklin opened, I believe it was 77 or 78. Always had an excellent experience with him, friendly, very caring, everything was almost perfect. Then the place grew, new docs, can't see Dr. Conklin anymore, snobs at the front desk, the FINAL straw came when I took my dog in to get him groomed. The groomer cut him, not once, not twice but in FOUR different places AND burned him with the trimmers in TWO. My dog is used to getting groomed and he LOVES the attention. When I brought it up, I was laughed at and told that my dog was just fine. So I went to the "vet side" and had them look at him, well he WASN'T fine...he had to get an antibiotic shot and ointment to put on his cuts and burns. I also didn't get charged for any of it, but that did not make up for the fact that they injured my dog and literally laughed at me. I have not stepped foot back in that place since. Sad sad thing that you have a customer since I had my first dog at 12 and paid to take her to the vet myself and lose that customer as a grown adult. I wouldn't take my pet ant to this place now.Read Less

I found four kitties dumped on our country road right before Christmas. One was pretty sick. Took him into this vet and had a fabulous tech, Jenn, and a great vet, Regina. Since I didn't have a lot of extra cash after Christmas, I was thrilled that the vet made a treatment plan, prices included. I can pay for what I can afford and go back for the services I couldn't. This is SO helpful. I wish doctors and dentists did this. And they obviously love animals because they were so loving towards my little sick kitty. I have hope for full recovery for this rescue cat. I appreciate this clinic more than they will ever know and I will definitely take the rest of the kitties after we get the sick one healed. Read Less

Really glad I found this place. My veterinarian is Dr. Olson and I could not be happier. I had been going somewhere else and was not happy with the charges or the care. They sell pet food with an additional 10% discount and it has become my one stop shop. Love the convenience of not having to go into the larger chains. The receptionists are friendly and Dr. Olson has been awesome in her care of my dogs and I feel lucky to have found her and the clinic. I feel like my animals are in good hands. Read Less

I was going here for awhile and at first they were pretty good, but as time went on they were trying to give me the same medicines for the same problems when they didn't work the first time. Also my dogs got kennel cough from them and when I called to make the appointment they said I could just come pick up the medicine for free because they had caught it while they were at their vet, when i got there they had a bunch of bags with names on them for other people who had called in. My problem is if you knew you got a bunch of animals sick why would you wait for the owners to call instead of calling everyone who was there during that time period and letting them know it was a possibility.Read Less

We switched to them from another vet in town and have had the BEST care for our dog. They are proactive yet sensible. They are so nice and great on short notice. My dog doesn't react as poorly to going to the vet any longer. (Still doesn't like it, but doesn't freak out.) They have great doctors, no matter which one you see and the other staff is knowledgeable and supportive. I recommend these great folks to EVERYONE! I am soooo thrilled with Sheridan Road Veterinary Clinic! My partner and I just moved two cats half way across the country. One had severe dental issues, and the other is an elderly cat with a chronic autoimmune digestive issue. So we've taken these cats to the vet a LOT over the past few years.We were lucky enough to be scheduled with Dr. Stegman, who is such a kind and compassionate vet! We knew our one cat was way overdue for some extractions, but we'd previously been quoted a cost so high as to be impossible for us to pay. We were also nervous about our pet undergoing anesthesia. She talked to us all about what she saw in our cat's mouth, what we could expect in terms of treatment costs, and the risks and benefits of the procedure including anesthesia. She put us completely at ease and we quickly scheduled the procedure for a few days later (right before Thanksgiving!).Dr. Stegman met us at the desk when we brought our cat in for the extractions, and proceeded to call us with updates about her condition later that day. She told my partner that she even spent time cuddling with our cat when she was coming out of anesthesia - aww! And best of all? The whole thing cost LESS than what we were expecting! Everyone we've interacted with in the office is kind, helpful, and really knows what they are doing. We received multiple referrals to the practice when we asked around, and now I know why! These Doctors and all the staff really love each and every animal that comes in. They are informative, take the time to answer every little question I had. I had a lot of questions. I have four animals two dogs and two cats. One of my dogs contracted parvo (cringe) They took her straight back, put her in their hospital, and treated her. The cost was a lot. However it was less then every one else and they TRUSTED me to pay it out!!!! NO ONE DOES THAT ANY MORE.So I made darn sure not to betray that trust.I adopted a dog from the SPCA, come to find out the animal was sick. Dr. Applebaum worked with me to help figure out her illness as it was a difficult one. He finally cured her and he did not charge me a fortune for all the tests that it took to get her cured. My animals mind them better then they do me. I have since moved away from the area, but make the drive out of the way simply because they are so good. Being the animal lover that I am and having used many of the more well known vet clinics around Tulsa I can tell you this place is truly a dream come true. The prices are totally reasonable and the care is phenomenal. I cant say enough good stuff about them. Read Less
