Unfortunately , I came to VCA with a terminally ill pet. It was not an easy decision to put down my special fur baby but he was only going to get worse had I not. VCA was very gentle and calm with my pet toward the end. They provided such empathy and care for both me and my baby and made sure we weren't rushed while saying our goodbyes. That experience was one of the worst emotional events that has happened to me. My heart broke into a thousand pieces but I'm truly thankful VCA was there to help me through that very difficult experience. Today I recieved a document with my baby's little feet and I'm thankful for the extra step they took to make sure I had something by which to remember him and help me process this grief. They are pricey - I have tried a couple of other veterinary offices over the years in an attempt to save money but I have always returned to VCA Veterinary Medical due to the staff and level of care. I Love VCA Vererinary Medical Center! I have been going to Dr. Crotty and Dr. Coldwell for more than 20 years. My current dog is a rescue who has had many medical problems. Their care for him has been nothing short of excellent, even though he has to be muzzled to be handled by anyone other than me. All of the people there are efficient and cheerful. I always received decent care for my pets when I went there, but it costs a LOT and they are not shy about charging for unnecessary tests for any ailment your pet may have. Here's an example: my dog was throwing up. Nothing major, just regular vomiting. I took him in and they wanted to do a slew of tests including xrays, full blood work up, the works. Ended up being over $400. Turns out he was fine and got over it naturally in one day. Basically, this vet believes in "scare tactics" to prey on pet owners who care about their animals. This happened to me more than a couple times. I finally switched to a more reputable vet and have saved a ton of money while receiving far better care. Read Less
