Tulsa, Oklahoma
General Info
VCA Woodland Central Animal Hospital in Tulsa develops medical plans that consider entire family units to provide support for both pets and their caregivers across Oklahoma. The veterinary team observes subtle indicators like eye movements tail positions gait changes and pressure responses before initiating physical examinations. Healthcare examinations encompass joint tracking alongside hydration analysis and weight monitoring while also assessing gum tone, coat texture, and thermal regulation patterns. Through detailed observation of morning patterns alongside sleep habits and vocal behaviors while noting recent behavioral deviations, owners actively participate in monitoring their pets. The veterinarians and most of the techs are very patient and willing to offer the most thorough explanations and best care for pets. My cat survived his surgery and recovered extremely well. Dr. McCasland is amazing. I did, however, have an experience the other day on March 22nd when I stopped by at about 5:30. The staff member at the front desk, I'm not sure her name, was particularly rude and unhelpful. I asked her simple questions about the medicine I was about to drop a ton of money on to buy and she basically stared at me blankly. She seemed unwilling to address my questions past a one word answer. I remained as pleasant as possible. When I left, I said goodbye, thank you and she walked away laughing to herself. I will continue to go here in the hopes that I don't interact with her again. Everyone else at the front desk here has been awesome. Read Less

We are loyal clients. We have spent over $500-$1,500 here almost every time we bring our dog in. We always pay in full and upfront. My Fur baby has the “same” problem that she was seen for last time. First appointment is $260 minimum. I just switched jobs and asked if I could pay half upfront and half the following week. The lady on the phone was so offended that I asked that question. Like totally astounded that I would be so naïve to ask if I can split it into two payments. Really rude. I’m going to take my fur baby elsewhere and pay full price upfront on principle alone. Anytime we have taken our animals here and paid upfront the service is great. Just don’t ask to make two payments, very pretentious people. Read Less

I am so appreciative and thankful! Every single person was awesome: From my first urgent call at 8 pm on the Friday before Christmas where I asked in desperation if my pet could be seen before they closed, to my vet tech who put me at ease (and was very festively outfitted), and finally my new vet who explained what needed to be done and was very caring. Hands down excellent service and five star care and expertise.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Pricing was very affordable. They even discounted my pet’s procedure and gave me a free first exam. My new vet also took the time to discuss my other pets and explain how they are transistioning to be one of the few vet offices who will be certified in the “Fear-Free”initiative, offering much more relaxed and stress-less experiences for cats. It’s pretty awesome, for both the cat and myself. Having a background and knowledge in animal care and vet services, as well as customer service, I am choosy when it comes to facilities and vets, and their support staff. I have finally found my new veterinary office! My cat approves, as much as a cat would. 😉 Read Less

Our cat seemed to be having trouble giving birth so we took her into the VCA at 51st and yale. After an X-ray, we were told that one of the babies was stuck so they needed to give her oxytocin in order to force labor. Then we were told by the vet that the baby wasn't stuck, but that she needed help with her labor. After much consideration we decided to leave her there to have the kittens. She was there for 4 hours and after having to call them we were told that she needed an emergency c section, and that it would be 800 on top of the 300 they were already getting from us today. We told them we didn't have access to that much money and we were told that we had two options either pay (get a loan, or they actually told us to knock on neighbors' doors) or take her home and that she would die in a day or 2. We were also told that the kittens weren't "viable" and treated like this was nothing for them. After picking her up and being completely at a loss with both of us breaking down over how our 2 year old, who loves her cat, wouldn't understand her being gone. Once home she proceeded to go into labor and easily had the kittens on her own. I will not being using this or any other VCA hospital nor will i recommend them to anyone. I will also be spreading this as far and wide as I possibly can. She tried to steal 800 dollars from us.Read Less

I've never been there. But when I had called about my dog and trying to schedule him in. THe lady was rude to me on the phone. I asked her a couple of personal questions. Which she had told me the doctor wasn't in the office yet and that she would call me back when she got in. Never heard from them ever. So it just made me not want to waste my time with them. Rude and not very helpful. Read Less
