Do not take your pets to Woodland Animal Hospital West!!!!They killed my dog from an allergic reaction and over dose to 3 types of antibiotics and 2 types of opioids at the same time. It caused his neck to swell up and his chart plainly said trachea collapse problems. These people give dogs opioids that are 30 times more potent than morphine. I have the proof with his chart and one of the medications was expired. Ellen Clupper was the last vet to treat my dog. When I went to go visit him she met me in the room first and warned me about what he looked like. I should have taken him some where else then he would still be alive. I told her that I didn't want him to die in there because he looked so bad. She said he is not going to die we are monitoring him and she gave him Benadryl. Four hours later he passed away. Then she tried to say he had underlying conditions. Diabetes it's funny how they took his blood and never notice if he had diabetes. These people took my precious boy and my whole world away from me. He was 14 years old but very energetic still. Read Less

Be very careful about going here. I went because I mistook it for the ER vet. It was a Saturday afternoon and my regular vet was closed. My dog was not eating and drinking a lot of water. My regular vet did a urinalysis and got her on antibiotics for a uti, but suspected there may be kidney issues and to see how she responded. A few days later I woke up and she was worse. She wasn't able to walk at all. I took her to Woodland West because I mistook it for the ER vet. They did a blood test and saw that her creatinine and prosperous were dangerously high. They played it off like it was no big deal. I had no idea her levels were so bad. They also said that her inability to walk was arthritis. They gave her subq fluids and nausea medicine. Told me to follow up with my normal vet IF she didn't get better. I should have done more research on my own. I took their relaxed attitude about the situation and two months later my dog is throwing up, not eating, not drinking water, and has diarrhea. I called my regular vet as soon as it happened and faxed over her blood results. MY NORMAL VET WAS APPALLED. She said that at those levels two months ago she was in stage 4 renal disease. That she has WEEKS to live. My vet thought that maybe I was confused about what they told me. NO. It says right in the paperwork they faxed her. To follow up if she doesn't respond to treatment and that she has arthritis. My vet said if she saw those numbers two months ago she would have hospitalized my dog immediately and started her on daily subq fluids/KD diet. I am in shock and absolutely devastated. Do NOT take your dog here unless you have no where else to go and just need medication. This situation is horrific. Just to update: on 2/6 my dog passed away at home. I'll always wonder if Dr. Dooley had made the matter more serious my Madi would still be alive. Thank you for killing my dog Woodland West.Read Less

They havebeen our vet fir several years. They have a very fruwndly & caring staff. Their gours are great too as a working mom its nice to be able to go in on the weekend without paying extra. I lost one of my dogs 3 years ago unexpectedly. They handed Baxter to me so I could hold him and the vet sat with me while she administered the shot. She let me know when he was gone and kissed him gently then gave me as much time as i needed in private. I have also used their pet resort and was very pleased. Babies spoiled rotten. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Read Less
