Our kitty needed emergency surgery and our regular vet (South Yukon) was booked up, so they recommended this hospital. They got him in immediately and took wonderful care of him! They answered all of our questions before and after surgery as well. Only reason I'm giving 4/5 instead of 5/5 stars is because I forgot to ask some questions and while I'm sure they'll answer them if I call back, it would've been nice to have some sort of post-op instruction packet or something covering ALL recovery procedures (how to clean incision, etc). Other than that it was a very cozy facility and the staff was very kind and caring!!

This place is absolutely AMAZING!!! Every staff member there was willing to help and answer our questions readily and not to mention made us feel like a priority and not just another customer. I'm not sure which veterinarian took care of our dog, but to not even know her or what happened immediately took on the task to save our sweet rambunctious dog. What was considered a tragic situation this team turned our tears of fear into tears of joy. Thank you West Yukon Animal hospital. I will continue to recommend this business. ♥️🙏♥️

This rude blonde lady came and declared these were all their chairs, note we werent in the chairs and told us a lot of people were coming and that we might have to move! She said this very hatefully and went back in the clinic!! If she treats people this hateful and rude I cant imagine how they treat animals!!! Would never bring my animals here !!!

The last time we were in, we asked them to run several tests on our dog for different symptoms she had been showing. I got a phone call with the briefest rundown, and felt like I was getting rushed off the phone when I tried to ask questions. When we got there to pick her up, we realized they were unhappy because she bit one of the techs. However, the first thing we said when we checked her in was "you need to muzzle her - she *will* snap at you." So we passed over a few hundred dollars and got rushed out the door, with no thorough explanations about the issues she was having. We will never go back.

This place is an absolute joke. My in laws dog fell in to their hot tub and we called because it says on their website that they are there for emergencies. The guy on the phone was extremely rude and just kept telling us the vet would not be back tell Monday and we kept telling him what happened and he asked if the dog was a current patient of the hospital, when we told him no he told us "sorry there is nothing we can do, we do not accept emergencies of outside patients." We asked for a referral because again it says on the website that they will refer you somewhere if they can't do anything and he responded again with "sorry there is nothing we can do". I would never recommend anyone to come to this place when the staff is so rude and clearly does not care at all about animals. Their dog ended up dying because it was to late once we found a place.

My uncle's dog ended up there after a dog fight and when I went to pick her up she was horrible. They put stiches in her and they stich ed her hair up in in. They left open wounds without any stichs in it. They didn't even give her any gas or pain meds before they did things to her. And they charged almost $500 for all this bad work. I had to take her to another vet and they had to redo everything. Beware of this place.

We adopted our baby from Pets & People Animal Shelter and took him here for his complimentary neutering. When we took him in he was also to get his shots. I also asked for the 6 month heartworm shot. Today I contacted them to get a copy of his records because he is being boarded while we are out of town this weekend. When I stopped by the vet's office I asked about setting up his next appointment as it had been almost 6 months. They had no record of him ever getting the heartworm shot. They shuffled around pretending to look and then started berating me for not having my paperwork from the shelter, even though they had already stated it wouldn't be on that paperwork. After speaking to them in a way I am not completely proud of, they offered to do a test. While waiting they said if it came back positive it would take 3 days to treat, I asked if they would be going to the kennel to treat it because I would be out of town and it wasn't right that he would have to wait 5 days to be taken care of. They informed me it would have to be at my convenience. In no way was any of this convenient to me, that's why we asked for the shot! His test did come back negative, but he will have to have another done in 6 months because it could take that long to show up. Yes, they did offer to do the test, but my family and I should have never had to go through this in the first place. It was a miserable experience and I'd rather pay for him to get tested again than trust these people!

POLITELY DECLINE.I adopted a 3 yr old Siamese mix from Pets and People a little over two weeks ago and the experience of adopting and getting her home was wonderful. The adoption agency even offered that if our cat needed to be checked out within the first two weeks of adopting that they would take care of it as long as we went to the contracted vet.So after a lot of sniffling and itching we found ourselves at West Yukon Animal Hospital. After checking my name and getting our info they seemed quite inconvenienced to why we were bringing our cat to their business for some itching. So after a long Q&A of why my room-mate was on the adoption papers and I was bringing the cat to the vet (None of your damn business thank you very much.) They brought my cat back and immediately started referring to her as "he" when it is perfectly obvious that this cat had kittens probably within the last two months. After asking the same questions we'd been asked twice since walking in the door, the vet decides to give our cat an allergy shot, but neglects to even inform us WHAT BRAND OF MEDICINE SHE IS USING. I have had animals all my life and I feel that that is malpractice to give an animal an un-named shot. It was so unclear that my room-mate didn't even realize the shot was an allergy shot. If I hadn't listened carefully who knows what would have been stuck into my cat!After all of this I didn't even bother asking her about my cat's weight gain. I figured it would probably be more inconvenience and maybe more unnamed medicine going into my animal.To put a cherry on top when we were finally ready to leave the desk lady said I owed $75, when, as stated before, I should have had a free visit. She informs me that "I didn't tell them over the phone that I was with Pets and People, so they couldn't confirm with them." Even though I know for a fact I told her over the phone because I told her that the lady I had talked to at Pets and People should be calling in a few minutes to confirm.So let's see, if I told them I was calling because of Pets and People and the lady I had talked to said she was going to call, I have a feeling I just got cheated out of $75.If you do end up going here, go at your own risk, and if you're supposed to have a free visit MAKE SURE YOU KEEP ON THEIR TAIL OR THEY WILL WRING MONEY OUT OF YOU.

We as a family had to make the very sad decision of putting our Rottweiler down due to hip dysplasia. We made an appt., (and were given a price for the procedure), got there and should have turned around right away. When you first get there, you get nothing. They offered no water for my girl even though it is 95+ outside. I noticed that they had no toys for any other dogs. When were put in an exam room and the doctor came strolling in (knowing why were there) drinking his cup of coffee, while my girl clearly needed a drink. We actually had demand some water for her. He made us say the horrible words of what we came there for THREE TIMES. He was a very uncaring doctor. We told him her name and he asked about 2x’s more “what is her name”. I have never met anyone who is supposed to be in a field which care about animals, be SO UNCARING. I truly felt horrible for bringing her there. Needless to say, we left. OH! The price we were given over the phone, was 3x’s that by the time we got there. Just tell us how much honestly it will be over the phone, no need to lie and make the price lower just to get us in the office. If anyone asks us for a referral for a vet, THIS WOULD NOT BE THE ONE.

This rude blonde lady came and declared these were all their chairs, note we werent in the chairs and told us a lot of people were coming and that we might have to move! She said this very hatefully and went back in the clinic!! If she treats people this hateful and rude I cant imagine how they treat animals!!! Would never bring my animals here !!!

The last time we were in, we asked them to run several tests on our dog for different symptoms she had been showing. I got a phone call with the briefest rundown, and felt like I was getting rushed off the phone when I tried to ask questions. When we got there to pick her up, we realized they were unhappy because she bit one of the techs. However, the first thing we said when we checked her in was "you need to muzzle her - she *will* snap at you." So we passed over a few hundred dollars and got rushed out the door, with no thorough explanations about the issues she was having. We will never go back.

This place is an absolute joke. My in laws dog fell in to their hot tub and we called because it says on their website that they are there for emergencies. The guy on the phone was extremely rude and just kept telling us the vet would not be back tell Monday and we kept telling him what happened and he asked if the dog was a current patient of the hospital, when we told him no he told us "sorry there is nothing we can do, we do not accept emergencies of outside patients." We asked for a referral because again it says on the website that they will refer you somewhere if they can't do anything and he responded again with "sorry there is nothing we can do". I would never recommend anyone to come to this place when the staff is so rude and clearly does not care at all about animals. Their dog ended up dying because it was to late once we found a place.

My uncle's dog ended up there after a dog fight and when I went to pick her up she was horrible. They put stiches in her and they stich ed her hair up in in. They left open wounds without any stichs in it. They didn't even give her any gas or pain meds before they did things to her. And they charged almost $500 for all this bad work. I had to take her to another vet and they had to redo everything. Beware of this place.

We adopted our baby from Pets & People Animal Shelter and took him here for his complimentary neutering. When we took him in he was also to get his shots. I also asked for the 6 month heartworm shot. Today I contacted them to get a copy of his records because he is being boarded while we are out of town this weekend. When I stopped by the vet's office I asked about setting up his next appointment as it had been almost 6 months. They had no record of him ever getting the heartworm shot. They shuffled around pretending to look and then started berating me for not having my paperwork from the shelter, even though they had already stated it wouldn't be on that paperwork. After speaking to them in a way I am not completely proud of, they offered to do a test. While waiting they said if it came back positive it would take 3 days to treat, I asked if they would be going to the kennel to treat it because I would be out of town and it wasn't right that he would have to wait 5 days to be taken care of. They informed me it would have to be at my convenience. In no way was any of this convenient to me, that's why we asked for the shot! His test did come back negative, but he will have to have another done in 6 months because it could take that long to show up. Yes, they did offer to do the test, but my family and I should have never had to go through this in the first place. It was a miserable experience and I'd rather pay for him to get tested again than trust these people!

POLITELY DECLINE.I adopted a 3 yr old Siamese mix from Pets and People a little over two weeks ago and the experience of adopting and getting her home was wonderful. The adoption agency even offered that if our cat needed to be checked out within the first two weeks of adopting that they would take care of it as long as we went to the contracted vet.So after a lot of sniffling and itching we found ourselves at West Yukon Animal Hospital. After checking my name and getting our info they seemed quite inconvenienced to why we were bringing our cat to their business for some itching. So after a long Q&A of why my room-mate was on the adoption papers and I was bringing the cat to the vet (None of your damn business thank you very much.) They brought my cat back and immediately started referring to her as "he" when it is perfectly obvious that this cat had kittens probably within the last two months. After asking the same questions we'd been asked twice since walking in the door, the vet decides to give our cat an allergy shot, but neglects to even inform us WHAT BRAND OF MEDICINE SHE IS USING. I have had animals all my life and I feel that that is malpractice to give an animal an un-named shot. It was so unclear that my room-mate didn't even realize the shot was an allergy shot. If I hadn't listened carefully who knows what would have been stuck into my cat!After all of this I didn't even bother asking her about my cat's weight gain. I figured it would probably be more inconvenience and maybe more unnamed medicine going into my animal.To put a cherry on top when we were finally ready to leave the desk lady said I owed $75, when, as stated before, I should have had a free visit. She informs me that "I didn't tell them over the phone that I was with Pets and People, so they couldn't confirm with them." Even though I know for a fact I told her over the phone because I told her that the lady I had talked to at Pets and People should be calling in a few minutes to confirm.So let's see, if I told them I was calling because of Pets and People and the lady I had talked to said she was going to call, I have a feeling I just got cheated out of $75.If you do end up going here, go at your own risk, and if you're supposed to have a free visit MAKE SURE YOU KEEP ON THEIR TAIL OR THEY WILL WRING MONEY OUT OF YOU.

We as a family had to make the very sad decision of putting our Rottweiler down due to hip dysplasia. We made an appt., (and were given a price for the procedure), got there and should have turned around right away. When you first get there, you get nothing. They offered no water for my girl even though it is 95+ outside. I noticed that they had no toys for any other dogs. When were put in an exam room and the doctor came strolling in (knowing why were there) drinking his cup of coffee, while my girl clearly needed a drink. We actually had demand some water for her. He made us say the horrible words of what we came there for THREE TIMES. He was a very uncaring doctor. We told him her name and he asked about 2x’s more “what is her name”. I have never met anyone who is supposed to be in a field which care about animals, be SO UNCARING. I truly felt horrible for bringing her there. Needless to say, we left. OH! The price we were given over the phone, was 3x’s that by the time we got there. Just tell us how much honestly it will be over the phone, no need to lie and make the price lower just to get us in the office. If anyone asks us for a referral for a vet, THIS WOULD NOT BE THE ONE.
