I have been bringing my animals here since I moved to Yukon last March. Although I’ve never seen the same Veterinarian twice, each staff member I’ve come across has been helpful and kind. Vanessa was a tremendous help when I had to have my beloved Boxer put down this January. As a former Vet-Tech, no amount of Euths prepare you for your own. Still, she helped me hold it together throughout the sudden process. Having said that, I picked up my Staffy today after boarding for the weekend and everything was great again! However, what I can’t get over is the cost for a bath. Yes, he’s a larger dog. I bathe him with no issues; he’ll even jump in the taller tubs if your tell him to, but $44 for a bath is outrageous. I’ve bathed horses for less than that. He better have received a deep-tissue massage and therapeutic facial for that price! I’m not sure if my husband asked about the cost when he made the request for a bath, because if he did I’m sure he would’ve said “hell no, thanks anyways”. I’d hate to switch to a different Animal Hospital because I appreciate the care they provide, but unless a dog has to be sedated there is no reason for a bath to cost that damn much. Never board your pets there!!! I boarded my dog twice and got a staph infection both times. The second time I boarded him, they cut his hair WAY too short, didn't trim his nails and the groomer gave him an ear infection from bathing him. To top it all off, the office manager, I believe get name is Vanessa, never accepted any of the blame! Very poor customer service! I am looking for a new bet because of her. With that said, I still give 2 stars because the vets know their stuff and were great when treating my dog. Read Less

I had a 4:00 appt that I arrived on time for. After waiting for over 45 minutes I asked how much longer it would be. They had not even checked me in. They had 1 emergency come in, and were running behind which I understand. But after they took back 3 different people with 4:30 and 4:45 appointments (I heard them when they checked in) I then asked how much longer. The Vets and Vet techs are amazing, but the front desk staff are horrible. I have been using this Vet for 25 years!!! and have never been treated in the rude manner which I was treated today. Needless to say, it has gone way down hill in my opinion since the Old Dr. Posey retired and I will be changing Vets. I will NOT go back to them after the way I was treated. Read Less

They were fast, efficient, and very friendly, VERY unlike Neel Hospital which is notoriously rude to customers and has a terrible reputation for not only treating people badly but also illegally holding pets for ransom as a matter of routine policy. Yukon Hills xrayed and properly diagnosed my dog, as you'd expect by any vet clinic. The hospital is large, modern, very nice, and clean. I think we are going to make this our new, regular vet. I've been taking my pets here for nearly ten years now and I have always received excellent, compassionate and affordable service. Even for my unbelievably cranky dog who always gives them trouble when we go in. They've always been very good to him and all of my pets. They treat your pets like the family they are. After relocating from out of state I was a little worried about finding a new vet.  After much  research  I was ready to give Yukon Hills Animal Hospital a shot and so happy that I did.  The hospital is spotless, the staff is very professional, kind and friendly. Dr. Josh Posey is awesome! He's always smiling, gentle with my fur baby, knowledgeable, patient, listens to all of my concerns and explains everything.  I've been several times now for my chihuahua's bladder issues and Dr. Josh and his staff are still as amazing as ever.  If you are looking for a new vet ...look no further. The incident I am going to describe happened 3 years ago so I hope this vet clinic has changed their policies and their attitude toward pet owners who are not their clients. I am sorry I did not post this earlier. I scheduled a tour of the facility because I wanted to see their boarding facilities. When the receptionist found out I used another vet I was informed that "your dogs cannot be boarded here without being examed and approved by one of our vets". The bill was going to be over 200.00 dollars total to have my dogs "approved" by their vet even though my dogs were up to date on all immunizations and were healthy. I even asked if my vet could not call or write a letter to verify the dogs health along with immunization records and copies of their health record from our vet. I was told "no". I was treated rudely and left feeling that I was not welcome there and nor were my dogs. Will NEVER use them for boarding or treating my dogs. Read Less

Beautiful clean building. The staff was incredibly helpful, understanding, and friendly. The doctor and assistants really worked with us and listened to what we had to say. They made sure to explain everything in a way we could understand. They cared for our pet in the best possible way. We won't go anywhere else. Read Less

After calling around to a few different vets to get a quote on getting my 8lb chihuahua fixed, I decided to call this place. I had been quoted in the 80's from everyone else, and this place quoted me $336!!! For an 8lb chihuahua to be spayed!! That is over a $200 difference compared to every other vet I called. That alone tells me they are in it for the money.Read Less

The first few times we took our dogs there they were great, but the last couple times have gotten worse. The last two times we have taken them there for boarding and they have forgotten to feed one of our dogs their dinner, and the other went to the bathroom in her crate. When we picked her up and still had feces on her. This has now happened twice. We will not be going back anymore for vet services or boarding. Read Less

I have only had one bad experience here and it was corrected by the other vets. Even with the one bad experience I still give Yukon Hills 5 stars. Every time my furry ones go in they are always treated with respected and with kind hands. I am very impressed with Dr. Posey and his son. I always request to have my animals see by either of them. I have never had my dog happy to go to the vets before. My big lab also goes in 1 to 2 times a month for laser treatment for his chronic ear infections. They were the first vets to not blame me for his problems and found the reasoning for his ear infections. The grooming staff is also extremely well with both my dogs.Read Less

My cat has been a patient at this place all his life. Today I brought him in because he was ill and we ended up having to put him to sleep. The people at Yukon Hills are the kindest and most caring folks to deal with. They really helped me through the process, including cremation. You can't go wrong bringing your furry friend here. We would not trust our puppy anywhere else. She is always so excited to see the vets and staff and is treated as if she is their own. She is always handled so gently during exams even though she is quite hyper. The luxury boarding has been a wonderful feature to help with our anxiety for having to leave her over night. I have been a groomer here for a little over 3 years now and it has been amazing! I love coming to work every day to see all of my pups that come in for their haircuts. The vet techs and the veterinarians are all very friendly, professional, and competent. They were very helpful with my late cat in his diagnosis and treatment of feline leukemia/cellulitis/etc. They were exceptional with my male dog's kennel cough, and were very competent when it came to the neutering of my female pup. They were also very understanding when I called in with my concerns about her abnormal gait and hip pain, and scheduled immediate x-rays. The veterinarians are also willing to consult with you and answer any questions you have about pet care specifics. They're also great groomers with competitive prices and a genuine tenderness and kindness towards your pets. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else! Read Less
