My mother had a dachshund that was so sick that she couldnt walk and was declining fast. Mom took EMYLOU TO 3different veterinaries and they all said the same thing . Put her to sleep was just simply not an option. A friend told her about Aumsville vet.clinic and she gave it a try.They did a few tests and gave her some meds. The have a nice handle on using technology to keep your animal check ups on schedule. They are able to handle a lot of "patients" each day and are well staffed. Their flea products and food options are priced like hair salon products, seems like a high profit game plan. But overall treated very well and timely. we brought in our puppy for an exam, trying to find a good clinic for him. aumsville was recommended by a friend- and folks, we have finally found the winner. everyone was super friendly, the vets REALLY show that they care about your pets. they were very gentle and took their time examining our puppy as to not scare or upset him, and explained a lot of helpful things to us that no one else had ever brought up before. our puppy really liked the people examining him, he just felt so happy and comfortable and it made me so happy to see that they had concern for keeping him content and happy while doing what they had to. they really know what they're talking about, and i love that they're there for the animals. they were also very honest and straight forward about concerns and any questions we had. the price was super affordable, and it was overall the best vet experience we've had. thank you so much! The staff and doctors are very special people. I had to put my 12 girl down last year. I was a wreck crying so hard at times I hyperventilated. They were so gentle and kind. They even sent me a sympathy card the following week. My 7 yr old girl goes there and they are great with her! Read Less

I love this clinic. I live in Salem and it's worth the drive. They are reasonably priced, I never feel rushed, and each vet I've met over the last 5 years has been kind, patient, and thorough. 5 years ago, my chihuahua, Mr. Bones, had a very unlucky first year of life, with first a broken leg (jumping off a couch), then abdominal surgery due to biting and swallowing 3 binky nipples unbeknownst to me, followed by another broken leg (jumping off my lap). I don't think he'd be alive today if it weren't for the kind and dedicated staff. They even gave me a few discounts because they knew this dog was costing me a lot, but could see that I loved him so much and was an emotional wreck. By far the best veterinarian office you can go too in the mid Valley area.. they always consider you with prices and care deeply about your animals. This is the only place I truly feel safe bringing my animals too! And I live about 40 minutes away, so that should show you that I will only go to them! Updated*** I did get a call from the office manager. Her response was very nice. She apologized for everything. I'm really let down by this clinic. We have been using them for years. Last month I called to set up our dog's preliminary OFA test. The soonest they could get me in was in two weeks. I told them that would be cutting it close (they're supposed to be relieved within a week of 1 year of age) but that should be fine. I brought in all of the paperwork (already completed) We did xrays and I went over them with the vet. He said he would get them sent out that day. I went to the lobby, paid my bill and left. 13 days later I get a phone call from a very rude girl from the clinic saying they didn't bill me properly and needed me to pay them over the phone so they could send everything to OFA. I told her I already paid and those should be almost back, not just getting sent out. She said the vet just got back from vacation and if I didn't want them delayed any longer I needed to pay my bill. From there the only response she would give me was, "ok... so do you want me to process your payment or do you not want these sent?" She then put me on hold for 15 minutes. Someone else finally picked up and took my payment. I asked to speak to the office manager but was sent to voicemail. I left a very detailed message asking for a returned call. This was Monday, it's now Thursday and I've yet to hear from anyone. I've enjoyed working with this clinic for years but feel like they made a mistake and I'm the only one dealing with it. I really disappointed with the treatment I received and that I will have to find a new vet.Read Less

My best friend and 13+ year old Pomeranian, Zipper, had a dental cleaning and 9 extractions on Friday at Aumsville Animal Clinic. We were seen by Dr. Lori Braun and were very happy with not only the care but the compassion we received from her. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions, even though some of them were more technical being a CVT myself. Zippers dental technician and CVT was a wonderful woman named Andrea. She knew just how to handle me, knowing that when its one of my own all my knowledge goes right out the window. She took her time and made sure I understood all the basics, then talked to me as a fellow tech and gave me the specifics of the procedure. She was so kind, and her love for her job was clear. Our field needs more CVT's like her! Overall I am so happy with my experience. Every interaction I had with each staff member was a positive one. It's worth the hour drive from Springfield! Been taking my dog here for awhile and just a few months ago she had a surgery where she went under and after that she has never been the same. She is only six years old and after we took her home she didn't improve whatsoever. We took her back to the vet multiple times and paid lots of money and all they told us is we could spend more money doing dog physical therapy or acupuncture. She doesn't jump up on people anymore, won't leave her cage, can't go down the stairs. It's terrible and sad to see this happen to a dog I've had since a puppy. I feel like the vet didn't take any responsibility and just brushed it off giving countless excuses. I'm extremely upset and feel used. From being a normal happy dog to being in pain and not the same dog. Someone should have taken responsibility for what happened. Read Less

We had such a great experience at Aumsville Animal Clinic. Dr. Stewart fixed our pit bull's bi-lateral CCL tear in the summer of 2013. He was exceptionally professional, kind, and patient throughout the process (and I was a stressed out mess). It's been 2 years and Periwinkle has had great success with his version of the "Traditional Surgery". She's living the good life again, running like a mad, wild, hooligan at the Sandy River Delta, hiking Multnomah Falls, playing at the dog park, and going on long walks. Dr. Stewart has been doing this repair for 25+ years and he is obviously top of the game at what he does. The SURGEON MATTERS more than the surgery you choose. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I absolutely love this vet office. I can't say enough about how great they are. They take care of my 5 pets needs really well but they also take the time to get to know them and let them warm up before they get to work. The prices aren't high compared to other vets in my opinion. The front staff is very nice to me over the phone and in person. Weather I'm there for routine shots or scarier injuries I feel very safe bringing my pet here. If you are looking for a new vets office it is definitely worth the drive. Read Less
