I have been taking Yuki here, since we brought him home as a little pup. The service and staff are fantastic. Recently, at 8 months of age he became very ill and was meticulously, analyzed by the expert Doctors to find an abscess and infection. They performed life saving services and today (at almost 10 months) he is back to full strength, having boundless, puppy energy. Small animal services are generally top notch. This veterinary outfit is apparently overwhelmed - probably because small animal is so very, very good. But be aware - busy phones, docs sometimes unavailable. Be cautious about large animal services. Very spotty and records sometimes vanish. Read Less

We had an exceptional visit with two of our cats today at Carlton Veterinary Hospital. The staff was great -- they explained all of the procedures and our options, telling us the benefits and going into detail wherever necessary. More importantly, they were WONDERFUL with our two persnickety cats. One was whisked away to get a booster -- didn't even hear one of his classic epic yelps from the other room and he was back in his carrier before returning to me. If there were more than 5 stars, I'd give it to them. I have been with Carlton Vet for years, with my Aussie "Bear" and my Chiui-weiner "Samson". I recently had the heartbreak of putting down my precious Bear and I could not have done it without Dr. Amy T and the amazing staff at Carlton vet. I live in Newberg. But I travel to Carlton for medical care for my dogs. As someone who has worked at veterinarian's office, I have a unique view into what happens. I took my dog to the Carlton Veterinary Hospital today for the first time and I must say I am very pleased with their services, the Veterinarian I saw was very helpful and patient (there was a lot of people in the waiting room) I was highly pleased with the cost of shots especially since it was 60 dollars cheaper than Companion Pet Clinic.
