My first visit here was today. My dog had an ear infection and they got me an hour after I called. Dr. Weston explained everything thoroughly from what the treatment is, why she prefers it and how to properly clean my dog’s ears. The ear medication they recommend (for maintenance) is much less expensive than what I have been getting elsewhere. All the tests and treatment was done in front of me, which I appreciated. She did not take a swab of my dog’s ear to verify what... type of infection he had, which I wasn’t too sure about, however she was sure about the treatment and that it will get the job done. They also let ME help handle my dog, which I very much appreciated because I think it makes pets feel more comfortable, especially my dog because he is a mama’s boy and gets nervous if I’m not with him. He actually cuddled up with the assistant! He can be weary of strangers and he WILL NOT let just anyone cuddle him! It was lovely to see!! All the staff was very friendly, personable and caring. The receptionist wasn’t rude, but it couldn’t hurt to smile once in a while. I was there for the vet care, so it didn’t bother me. The wait time and prices were reasonable and they doted on my dog which shows me that they truly love animals. This is not my regular vet and I have been loyal to them for over 20 years, however I am thinking about taking my other dog to town and country to see if I want to switch vets because town and country is closer to my residence and provided the utmost care! I will continue to take my dog that was seen here today to my regular vet (he’s old and they know him well), but may be switching my young dog to this vet. See More Read Less

I would give zero stars if I could. This was in May 2014. First of all, the place was freezing and all the other animals and people I saw were extremely unhappy to be there, even small puppies who could easily be won over with treats. I brought my cat in to get a general check up and rabies shot. She is the most stranger-friendly cat ever. She loves anyone who will pet her, so she is not a difficult cat. However, like any cat, she hates having her temperature taken. She doesn't bite or swat. She screams. And it's unpleasant, but that's no reason to treat her like she's a bad cat, a mental patient...I take that back, mental patients deserve way more respect than either I or my cat got even when they DO bite because they are living beings. But I digress. I was treated like I wasn't even there the second time I went in with her and when I went to ask a question, I was basically asked "what do YOU want?" at the desk. Horribly rude, uncaring staff who don't like animals or people. Dr. Gross at Corvallis veterinary hospital is TEN times better. Read Less

We went to this vet yesterday. They were rude and dismissive. We took our dog in because she had some goopy eyes and generally wasn't feeling well. I had called and explained everything before we picked them as we don't have a vet in our new town yet. My husband took our dog in. She had no fever and no signs of dehydration. After an all too quick exam he was presented with over $700 worth of things she "needed". When he was surprised and asked for it to be reviewed he was met with a rude staff who he could hear talking about how he wasn't spending enough through the door! Then they came in with a $500 bill. At that point he was so frustrated he asked if we could start her on the antibiotic and "watch and wait" to see how she would do. They told him he couldn't fill the scripts anywhere but there. Obviously not true so he just smiled and left fully understanding what was going on. When he explained this all to me I was furious so I called. The rude vet tech who answered tried the same lines with me. When I was adamant I knew I could get the meds online he backtracked and then it was a cost of $10 per script just to WRITE them! Even though we had already paid for the visit that resulted in not even a preliminary diagnosis. Then the actual vet got on the phone and was incredibly rude so I realized I was just wasting time and hung up. When I put a review on Facebook the vet proceeded to act like I was trying to get free services by giving an honest review! And then all of a sudden our dog was "very sick" and the experience with my husband was wonderful? Now my husband is one of those people who gets along with everyone so when he's upset about someone I know it was an awful situation. And he'd sell his soul for his dog so if he didn't find a way he really felt like it was ridiculous. The worst part in all of this is how they've handled themselves. I put a review like this one on Facebook and they had their employees try to attack me by saying that leaving a review is cyber bullying! Look I get it that getting bad reviews is hard but we had a terrible experience. Sharing that doesn't make me anything but honest. They've even tried to act like my husband is lying but everything he said was confirmed by their staff when I called. All I know is a normal business would just apologize for the bad experience and everyone would move on. It's really just so weird they choose to react the way they did. Please be cautious when going here. We ended up throwing out $50 we could have put to her care. Read Less

I had to come to Corvalis for short-notice surgery at Good Sam Regional -- it was nearly 11pm when we drove in, and there was no place to take the pup to be boarded. We just put him in the car and brought him with us. He got a fast-food burger for dinner and a back-seat camp-out in the ER parking lot until we could find him a place to stay while I was in the hospital. In our rushed departure -- we didn't even think to pick up his vaccination papers.Town & Country was recommended by the nurses the next morning, and very close by. First and foremost, they are a small animal vet clinic -- and so they were able to talk to our normal vet at home and get pup's info, and catch him up on the one vaccine he was due for. They checked him out thoroughly and helped us with one more detail of an already difficult few days. Poor baby was a little traumatized by all the travel and breaks in his routine -- and his sympathetic pre-surgery jitters. The folks at Town and Country treated him like one of their own. Thanks for all the help and TLC for a confused little dog! Read Less

The vet herself was a complete biotch about it.Stay away from this vet, or you will end up with charges for someone else's animals.Edited to add: We had a dog break her leg, and the vet didn't cast it properly which made the rod come up through the bone and skin, and did permanent damage to the bone (shattered it more, to the point of shortening her leg permanent by 2")... Read Less

I brought my dog in and told them he looked bloated. I was told he was fat - which he wasn't, which I told them. A week or 2 later he was lying on his side and had a large hump sticking up from his abdomen. I took him to a different vet who immediately checked him and found a hematoma the size of a small football. Within 3 days he had his spleen and the hematoma removed. I was told to be very careful during those 3 days because the hematoma could burst and kill him.

Read Less

This used to be an awesome clinic when Dr. Miller ran it. Now, it's really crappy. The new vet let people charge on our account, multiple times, and without asking us.The claimed our account went into collections when it didn't, and we have the old receipt to prove that our account was paid off and didn't go to collections. After this, we never went back. Another vet confirmed this vets shotty work. Read Less

They got me in very quickly. I was in an unusual situation taking care of a friend's cat in Corvallis and only in town for a limited time. They had no regular appointments left for the day, but when I explained my situation, they managed to squeeze me in with a smile and excellent care! They apologized for a slightly longer wait time, which was very understandable! If I lived in Corvallis, this would be my regular veterinary clinic for my own animals. Read Less
