This vet hit my dog. He was jumping around, and barking at a dog in the next room. She knows he reacts in this way to other dogs, as I have communicated with her many times.
Additionally, she asked me if I thought he was the right dog for me, and to feel free to give him up. I notice on her FaceBook page, she has a lot of pets looking for new homes. If makes me wonder if she gets a kickback from this kind of thing.
As if that was not upsetting enough, she had repeatedly refused to:
- prepare for the appointments that cost $3 per minute. I sent three separate videos ahead of time for her perusal for two separate appointments about his back legs, so she could see his limp. She refused to watch them, and also refused to examine him properly when he was in her office. She did not manually feel his legs, or give him x-rays to determine the problem. She simply stated that he is just a puppy (more on that later), and he only needs to increase his mind/body connection.
-Review his basic info. After four separate appointments, Dr Teri Sue refuses to get his information correct. Basic things, such as his date of birth, when she has seen him last, health concerns, and she even repeatedly gets his breed wrong, even with repeated reminders from me on all of these points. She actually insisted to me that he is a puppy! By the way, he is 4 years old! Not only did she insist, but told me that I was arguing with her when I once again patiently reminded her that he is indeed FOUR years old.
- Insists that there is nothing wrong with his health in the areas of concern that I bring him in for. His back legs recently became wobbly, and limp to the side as he strides. This is a recent occurrence, that myself(who walks him on a multiple and daily basis) has noticed, starting in late October, and steadily getting worse over the last couple months. She said he is fine, and refused to properly address my concerns. Additionally, I am having concerns with his itchy coat, that is thinning along his spine, dramatic shedding, and some additional little bald patches. She did not examine the condition of his coat, and told me “I’ve seen worse”, and to just give him some fish oil.
- Insisting I buy and/or use products I have repeatedly indicated I am uncomfortable with. She sells a lot of products, and spends much more time pushing her products than examining my dog. Even after I told her REPEATEDLY that I have done my research (told her this on three of the four appointments), and am uncomfortable with feeding my dog cod liver oil, especially the dangerous brand she sells, she pushes it, and spends a lot of time trying to convince me that it is the best. All this time that I am paying her to actually look at my dog’s health issues. She recommended me to read a certain raw feeding website, and she doesn’t read it herself, or keep up on the information. She repeatedly insists on things that are warned against on this specific website. I have read over everything, and joined the FB group for this site. It states that feeding cod liver oil is dangerous, and advises against this.
All this to say, Dr Wright has no respect for her patients, clients, or their wallets.
P.S. She has also replied to my reviews on other sites stating that there is additional private info, and making gaslight-esque hints. Please be aware that I have laid out the information throughly, and even so, there is never any excuse to hit my dog, or tell me to give him up. Read Less
