Staff was fine, warm and welcoming until we realized we got put into a payment program we really should not have been advised for. We knew we would be moving away, and specifically told them this, but now we're stuck in a plan paying monthly payments while we aren't able to use the service - as it only works at this clinic. We should have been told this when we explained we were moving away. Very hostile conversation when I was simply asking questions regarding this problem. No solutions just an unfortunately curt employee, I was surprised by the tone on their end given we were just trying to clarify an issue.. Minor issues here are there along the way, mostly good experiences with our two animals but this has left us with some regrettably poor feelings towards the veterinary hospital, hopefully our new clinic will provide us with necessary information, more compassionate visits with the doctors, and understanding staff that don't leave us pouring money into nothing for the next eight months.

It was time to put our 15 year old dog down and we weren't able to get into her regular vet so we called The Veterinary Hospital. We were able to get in within a day and received the best care on a really tough day. The doctor gave her honest opinions and explained how everything would work. We were given as much time as we needed to say goodbye. She had genuine compassion for our dog and family. I 100% recommend.

The most wonderful staff in the world. Dr. Williams, Molly, and the rest of the staff were so compassionate and kind as we were going through the end days with our sweet little Bijou. Dr Williams and Molly came to our home to put Bijou to sleep. They gave us as much time as we needed and gave us big hugs. I highly recommend the Veterinary Hospital. The reason for four stars is that the wait time (like all doctors office) can sometime be very long.

Oh, dont bother trying to save money getting your prescriptions filled online. This doctor refused to approve a prescription for life-saving thyroid medicine for my cat because I took it to another pharmacy. The doctor wanted $38 for the same exact medicine that I could get from another pharmacy for $19. They also are trying to extort $249 a month out of me to run a monthly blood test before they will approve another month of medication. The doctor also gives you a song and dance about how its too costly to send out for just a thyroid test or just a kidney test so they must bundle it and run a full $249 panel EACH MONTH. Then, after I agree to the higher priced bundle, I find out they have the lab on their premises, so the 'bundle' of tests is complete BULL! What a disgusting person, this doctor is.

The front desk ladies are also amazing. I always have to bring in both my dogs even if just one is being seen because they love them so much! I can't recommend this place enough. My family has been coming here with our animals since I was young and when I got older and got two of my own, I knew where I had to take them to get the best possible care.

Note that most of the positive reviews are in the distant past. The receptionists at The Veterinary Hospital take rudeness to a new level. The waiting times are obscene for any of the vets - we tried most of them. You will wait, on average, 30 minutes at least for your scheduled appt. And worst of all? The vets we have seen in the past six months seem only to care about getting you to buy goods and services that your furbaby does not really need. They seem to care about $$$$, not your animal anymore. Just come sit in the waiting room and just listen to how the reception staff talks to people on the phone and in person - awful. Find a better place to take your family member. They do not care about animals or people at this place anymore.

It was a sad day- my son and I went to the vet hospital to have our elderly furry family member assessed. They looked at her and very kindly and compassionately went over the options. We never felt rushed or judged. When they came in to administer the final medication it was done calmly and peacefully. They even made an impression of her paw for us. They are a wonderful facility- but we hated to go there for the reason we did.

I tried again a few months ago. Today my dog had a reaccuring ear infection. Stated I had the ear wash (28.00) so I didn't need it. Just the refill of the Matadox(?) Not good enough for them. I needed an ear wash for her with the 28.00 a bottle medicine I had for 24.50. Thanks, no more. You enjoy paying for that new building The veterinary Hospital. I know where good doctors like Dr. Maddox went.

We were travelling through Eugene on a Sunday. Our dog had been very sick for two days we looked at vet clinics on the web and found The Veterinary Hospital highly rated. We called at 9am on a Sunday morning and had an appointment for 1020. Dr. Albachten examined our dog and gave us an estimate on what a full examination would entail and cost. He completed the examination including x-rays and blood tests. He found nothing life threatening. He administered some shots and gave us advice on how to home treat the dog. We found the cost to be very reasonable considering the scope of it. We left very satisfied. The staff front counter and vet tech were extremely friendly and helpful. Anyone needing a vet in Eugene should stop there. Highly recommended.....

The Dr's and assistants are spectacular! I am VERY impressed with the sensitivity and quality of care our pets have received in this facility. Dr Lisa Poquette is currently providing chiropractic care for our 5 yr old chihuahua, Casper. She was very informative about our options for his care. We don't have the financial resources for a surgical procedure, but it wouldn't matter if we did. Dr Lisa specializes in animal chiro care. He had been having a lot of discomfort and was unable to balance his hind end so he was pretty much dragging himself around. His situation progressed drastically from bad to worse in just 1 day. She assessed him, gave us the option to be referred to a veterinary surgeon or to let her do chiro care for him. She had him acting like a puppy after only 1 appointment. He didn't understand that he still had to be careful and was not very pleased about being picked up and carried to go outside to potty and go down and up the steps for a couple of weeks. He got VERY irritated with me ... quickly! I highly recommend opting for the chiro care before jumping into the surgical procedure. If your pet is not currently a patient at the Veterinary Hospital, make sure you at least inquire with your pets vet about the chiro care if your pet is having the same or similar problems Casper was. I also recommend getting a second opinion if you are told that it's not an option. It's worth it to go with the chiro care before putting your pet through the trauma and pain and recovery of surgery ... especially with no guarantee when it's done that it will work!!!!! Check this place out - they are FANTABULOUS!

I do see some of the negative reviews but I must say my experience has been WONDERFUL! We have 2 young cats & catching them for vet appointments ain't always so easy. I've been SUPER ACCOMMODATED with time slots & have received AWESOME care from Dr. Albactin (I'm probably spelling the name incorrectly). The gals at the front desk are GODDESSES! We also have an older cat I'm looking forward to bringing in for shots.... I was genuinely shocked to see the negative reviews after my highly positive encounters. Hopefully those were just isolated instances, as I am LOVING this place!

I brought my pets here for 8 plus years. No more. This last experience was too much for me to handle. My dog Heidi was diagnosed by them with end stage kidney failure. We were told the bad news in the public waiting area. Then we were sold very expensive food and sent on our way. I set up B vitamin shots for Heidi. The reminder call had our other dogs name. I told the staff to please correct the name. They said they would. The day came just 10 days after the diagnosis that I knew it was time to have our sweet girl put to sleep. I called her vet and was told they were too busy to make a house call. 2 hrs later a staff member called to let me know the special order dog food was in. I told her we were having Heidi put to sleep and no longer needed the food. A few days later we got a sympathy card for our very much alive 5yr old husky. We called and complained that they needed to fix their records. Then on what would have been Heidi's 14th birthday we got a "Happy birthday Heidi!" Ecard. They couldn't even be bothered to remember her name.

When we moved here (from Michigan), we had to find a new vet. I called them and they seemed really nice on the phone, and they're right down the street from us. So, I set up appointments for my elderly dog and his two kitty sidekicks. They had no problem with us bringing ALL of them in at the same time.Everyone there is so friendly and gentle with the animals. I would recommend this vet to anyone. My only gripe (and it's barely relevant) is that they are always out of my dog's flea meds. But they do such an awesome job, not having meds on-hand doesn't justify a lower rating.

They even called to have me come in earlier when they had an appointment cancellation. We had Nancy Johnson, DMV. She was wonderful, as were the rest of the staff that we saw that day. Also, as an added bonus, they have fresh cookies and a stocked Keurig for a treat for the parents while waiting! Great experience!

I took my husband's and my 8-week old puppy in here today to begin her standard puppy vaccination series. I chose this hospital as it is very close to home and convenient after I read reviews online. I'm very happy with the quality of the hospital and the employees and vets. Liz Gray helped us and she was super kind and knowledgeable. She was very patient and answered all of our questions we had been wanting to ask her. They even threw in a free toenail trim for our puppy and a sample of some flea and heartworm medication. We ended up purchasing one of their puppy packages since I want to make this our vet home.

We originally came to this office because our dog's regular vet was out if town. Our dog seemed to have hurt his back leg and needed it check out. We were seen immediately, didn't have a wait for our appointment time, and had all of our questions/concerns addressed. We decided to stay with them after this appointment. Our dog just had his teeth cleaned and was microchipped by them. They called to let us know he'd done well after the procedure and went over his "go home" instructions when we picked him up. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful. The vet techs are very knowledgable and informative. The vets are thorough and have a great "bedside manner".

We have been very lucky to have Dr. Liz Gray DVM as our vet at The Veterinary Hospital. She is wonderful! She watches and takes care of our three dogs. She amputated our Blue Heller's leg when he had cancer and he is doing very well being a 12 years old. She also did invasive surgery on our 13 year old Black Lab Pointer Mix and he is doing wonderful. We also appreciate the supportive staff at the clinic. The staff is warm and funny when you need that. Thank you! I highly recommend Dr. Liz Gray and the clinic to take care of your animals.Dr. Andrea Duvall - is also amazing. She has worked with our Blue Heller on a weekly basis for the last fews months. She is patient and explains things clearly. We are very luck to have Dr. Liz Gray & Dr. Andrea Duvall taking care of our animals.The third dog is a Mexican rescue and is health and learning how to behave thanks to Dr. Liz Gray.

When it came to choosing a veterinarian, I called all around town, because our cat was a semi-feral stray (think wild and unpredictable) and I knew we'd need experienced veterinarians. While some clinics balked at the idea of us bringing in our wild and scared little Bella, the sweet lady on the phone at the Veterinary Hospital spent several minutes on the phone with me, encouraging me that we would be able to domesticate our little cat, and assuring me that they had experience with cats like her.I am so glad we chose this vet! They took such extra care to be gentle with Bella, and she actually enjoyed her first veterinary visit. Dr. Andrew Duvall is especially nice, but I have had good experiences with all the staff. They are also great about answering questions over the phone and giving advice.I am so glad I called--our cat has indeed settled into a perfectly domesticated little indoor cat, and I know I wouldn't have been able to do it without the assurance of the kind woman I first spoke with at The Veterinary Hospital!

Staff was fine, warm and welcoming until we realized we got put into a payment program we really should not have been advised for. We knew we would be moving away, and specifically told them this, but now we're stuck in a plan paying monthly payments while we aren't able to use the service - as it only works at this clinic. We should have been told this when we explained we were moving away. Very hostile conversation when I was simply asking questions regarding this problem. No solutions just an unfortunately curt employee, I was surprised by the tone on their end given we were just trying to clarify an issue.. Minor issues here are there along the way, mostly good experiences with our two animals but this has left us with some regrettably poor feelings towards the veterinary hospital, hopefully our new clinic will provide us with necessary information, more compassionate visits with the doctors, and understanding staff that don't leave us pouring money into nothing for the next eight months.

It was time to put our 15 year old dog down and we weren't able to get into her regular vet so we called The Veterinary Hospital. We were able to get in within a day and received the best care on a really tough day. The doctor gave her honest opinions and explained how everything would work. We were given as much time as we needed to say goodbye. She had genuine compassion for our dog and family. I 100% recommend.

The most wonderful staff in the world. Dr. Williams, Molly, and the rest of the staff were so compassionate and kind as we were going through the end days with our sweet little Bijou. Dr Williams and Molly came to our home to put Bijou to sleep. They gave us as much time as we needed and gave us big hugs. I highly recommend the Veterinary Hospital. The reason for four stars is that the wait time (like all doctors office) can sometime be very long.

Oh, dont bother trying to save money getting your prescriptions filled online. This doctor refused to approve a prescription for life-saving thyroid medicine for my cat because I took it to another pharmacy. The doctor wanted $38 for the same exact medicine that I could get from another pharmacy for $19. They also are trying to extort $249 a month out of me to run a monthly blood test before they will approve another month of medication. The doctor also gives you a song and dance about how its too costly to send out for just a thyroid test or just a kidney test so they must bundle it and run a full $249 panel EACH MONTH. Then, after I agree to the higher priced bundle, I find out they have the lab on their premises, so the 'bundle' of tests is complete BULL! What a disgusting person, this doctor is.

The front desk ladies are also amazing. I always have to bring in both my dogs even if just one is being seen because they love them so much! I can't recommend this place enough. My family has been coming here with our animals since I was young and when I got older and got two of my own, I knew where I had to take them to get the best possible care.

The waiting times are obscene for any of the vets - we tried most of them. You will wait, on average, 30 minutes at least for your scheduled appt. And worst of all? The vets we have seen in the past six months seem only to care about getting you to buy goods and services that your furbaby does not really need. They seem to care about $$$$, not your animal anymore. Just come sit in the waiting room and just listen to how the reception staff talks to people on the phone and in person - awful. Find a better place to take your family member. They do not care about animals or people at this place anymore.

We never felt rushed or judged. When they came in to administer the final medication it was done calmly and peacefully. They even made an impression of her paw for us. They are a wonderful facility- but we hated to go there for the reason we did.

I tried again a few months ago. Today my dog had a reaccuring ear infection. Stated I had the ear wash (28.00) so I didn't need it. Just the refill of the Matadox(?) Not good enough for them. I needed an ear wash for her with the 28.00 a bottle medicine I had for 24.50. Thanks, no more. You enjoy paying for that new building The veterinary Hospital. I know where good doctors like Dr. Maddox went.

We were travelling through Eugene on a Sunday. Our dog had been very sick for two days we looked at vet clinics on the web and found The Veterinary Hospital highly rated. We called at 9am on a Sunday morning and had an appointment for 1020. Dr. Albachten examined our dog and gave us an estimate on what a full examination would entail and cost. He completed the examination including x-rays and blood tests. He found nothing life threatening. He administered some shots and gave us advice on how to home treat the dog. We found the cost to be very reasonable considering the scope of it. We left very satisfied. The staff front counter and vet tech were extremely friendly and helpful. Anyone needing a vet in Eugene should stop there. Highly recommended.....

The Dr's and assistants are spectacular! I am VERY impressed with the sensitivity and quality of care our pets have received in this facility. Dr Lisa Poquette is currently providing chiropractic care for our 5 yr old chihuahua, Casper. She was very informative about our options for his care. We don't have the financial resources for a surgical procedure, but it wouldn't matter if we did. Dr Lisa specializes in animal chiro care. He had been having a lot of discomfort and was unable to balance his hind end so he was pretty much dragging himself around. His situation progressed drastically from bad to worse in just 1 day. She assessed him, gave us the option to be referred to a veterinary surgeon or to let her do chiro care for him. She had him acting like a puppy after only 1 appointment. He didn't understand that he still had to be careful and was not very pleased about being picked up and carried to go outside to potty and go down and up the steps for a couple of weeks. He got VERY irritated with me ... quickly! I highly recommend opting for the chiro care before jumping into the surgical procedure. If your pet is not currently a patient at the Veterinary Hospital, make sure you at least inquire with your pets vet about the chiro care if your pet is having the same or similar problems Casper was. I also recommend getting a second opinion if you are told that it's not an option. It's worth it to go with the chiro care before putting your pet through the trauma and pain and recovery of surgery ... especially with no guarantee when it's done that it will work!!!!! Check this place out - they are FANTABULOUS!

I do see some of the negative reviews but I must say my experience has been WONDERFUL! We have 2 young cats & catching them for vet appointments ain't always so easy. I've been SUPER ACCOMMODATED with time slots & have received AWESOME care from Dr. Albactin (I'm probably spelling the name incorrectly). The gals at the front desk are GODDESSES! We also have an older cat I'm looking forward to bringing in for shots.... I was genuinely shocked to see the negative reviews after my highly positive encounters. Hopefully those were just isolated instances, as I am LOVING this place!

I brought my pets here for 8 plus years. No more. This last experience was too much for me to handle. My dog Heidi was diagnosed by them with end stage kidney failure. We were told the bad news in the public waiting area. Then we were sold very expensive food and sent on our way. I set up B vitamin shots for Heidi. The reminder call had our other dogs name. I told the staff to please correct the name. They said they would. The day came just 10 days after the diagnosis that I knew it was time to have our sweet girl put to sleep. I called her vet and was told they were too busy to make a house call. 2 hrs later a staff member called to let me know the special order dog food was in. I told her we were having Heidi put to sleep and no longer needed the food. A few days later we got a sympathy card for our very much alive 5yr old husky. We called and complained that they needed to fix their records. Then on what would have been Heidi's 14th birthday we got a "Happy birthday Heidi!" Ecard. They couldn't even be bothered to remember her name.

When we moved here (from Michigan), we had to find a new vet. I called them and they seemed really nice on the phone, and they're right down the street from us. So, I set up appointments for my elderly dog and his two kitty sidekicks. They had no problem with us bringing ALL of them in at the same time.Everyone there is so friendly and gentle with the animals. I would recommend this vet to anyone. My only gripe (and it's barely relevant) is that they are always out of my dog's flea meds. But they do such an awesome job, not having meds on-hand doesn't justify a lower rating.

They even called to have me come in earlier when they had an appointment cancellation. We had Nancy Johnson, DMV. She was wonderful, as were the rest of the staff that we saw that day. Also, as an added bonus, they have fresh cookies and a stocked Keurig for a treat for the parents while waiting! Great experience!

I took my husband's and my 8-week old puppy in here today to begin her standard puppy vaccination series. I chose this hospital as it is very close to home and convenient after I read reviews online. I'm very happy with the quality of the hospital and the employees and vets. Liz Gray helped us and she was super kind and knowledgeable. She was very patient and answered all of our questions we had been wanting to ask her. They even threw in a free toenail trim for our puppy and a sample of some flea and heartworm medication. We ended up purchasing one of their puppy packages since I want to make this our vet home.

We originally came to this office because our dog's regular vet was out if town. Our dog seemed to have hurt his back leg and needed it check out. We were seen immediately, didn't have a wait for our appointment time, and had all of our questions/concerns addressed. We decided to stay with them after this appointment. Our dog just had his teeth cleaned and was microchipped by them. They called to let us know he'd done well after the procedure and went over his "go home" instructions when we picked him up. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful. The vet techs are very knowledgable and informative. The vets are thorough and have a great "bedside manner".

We have been very lucky to have Dr. Liz Gray DVM as our vet at The Veterinary Hospital. She is wonderful! She watches and takes care of our three dogs. She amputated our Blue Heller's leg when he had cancer and he is doing very well being a 12 years old. She also did invasive surgery on our 13 year old Black Lab Pointer Mix and he is doing wonderful. We also appreciate the supportive staff at the clinic. The staff is warm and funny when you need that. Thank you! I highly recommend Dr. Liz Gray and the clinic to take care of your animals.Dr. Andrea Duvall - is also amazing. She has worked with our Blue Heller on a weekly basis for the last fews months. She is patient and explains things clearly. We are very luck to have Dr. Liz Gray & Dr. Andrea Duvall taking care of our animals.The third dog is a Mexican rescue and is health and learning how to behave thanks to Dr. Liz Gray.

After having such a good vet in Denver I was worried we wouldn't find a place that was as affordable with the same sort of mentality for treating the pet versus making a ton of money off of you. When it came to choosing a veterinarian, I called all around town, because our cat was a semi-feral stray (think wild and unpredictable) and I knew we'd need experienced veterinarians. While some clinics balked at the idea of us bringing in our wild and scared little Bella, the sweet lady on the phone at the Veterinary Hospital spent several minutes on the phone with me, encouraging me that we would be able to domesticate our little cat, and assuring me that they had experience with cats like her.I am so glad we chose this vet! They took such extra care to be gentle with Bella, and she actually enjoyed her first veterinary visit. Dr. Andrew Duvall is especially nice, but I have had good experiences with all the staff. They are also great about answering questions over the phone and giving advice.I am so glad I called--our cat has indeed settled into a perfectly domesticated little indoor cat, and I know I wouldn't have been able to do it without the assurance of the kind woman I first spoke with at The Veterinary Hospital!
