Do NOT make late appointments there - they gave is a 4:10 appointment for a sick cat but could not see us until they closed at 5:00 - they sent us to the "Emergency" Clinic on Q st. My wife waited over an hour only to be told that they did not know what was wrong, but they could do a blood test on our cat for over $1000!! She left, but not before paying DOUBLE for an emergency visit, I feel we were set up by Delta Oaks by making a 4:10 appointment when they knew they could probably not see us by 5 - NEVER GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I found Delta Oaks from the first animal I adopted from a local shelter. I have been using them for years since as the staff is friendly and the Vets are very experienced in all animals. We appreciate them as they treat all our fur babies as family. Plus, they don't prejudge large breeds. Lots of happy pets. Read Less

We used to live near this vet and that is why we brought our Husky/Mal here. I am rating more than 1 star because everyone was always extremely nice. The only reason I am rating only 2 stars is because of the vet himself. We brought our dog in several times for having digestive issues (constant diarreah, gas). We asked him about nutrition and he pretty much knew nothing- then proceeded to tell us that everything we've heard about corn/wheat in dog diets is a myth. Pretty interesting after reading all of the food they sell inside the place has corn and wheat.. We believed him but felt skeptical so we started feeding our dog grain free kibble. It helped the problem but our pup was still having issues. Not once did the vet tell us about changing diets and acted like it was completely normal for him to be having these issues, shame on him. I am writing this review now because our dog has been on a completely Raw diet for months and everything has changed. He is happier, more energetic, no more gas or loose stool, and many other positive side effects. I really wish this vet would have recommended it before. Please, do not go here. Read Less

I have been taking my cats to Delta Oaks Veterinary Clinic for more the 25 years and I have always been very happy with the treatment they have received. Very happy with our first visit. Since moving to Oregon we've been looking for a vet, and I appreciated the balance Dr. Tim and staff struck between professionalism and practicality. They worked with us in a way some past vets we've visited hadn't and spared us sales pitches and unnecessary treatments right out of the gate. I'm glad we're so close to this place. UPDATE - 4/28/2016: We've continued to use Delta Oaks Animal Hospital as our vet, and remain really satisfied with the care. Case in point - one of our cats just had a UTI pop up yesterday. The staff and doctor really empathized with the difficulty I had crating our cat (my wife usually handles this stuff). Rather than send me home with medicine and a difficult time dosing my cat, they did a long acting antibiotic injection. This saved my cat and I a whole world of stress. I recently had to take my dog to Delta Oaks Veterinary Clinic for a dental procedure and I couldn't be more pleased! The entire staff was SO nice and unbelieveably helpful. They took the time to answer all my questions and were patient with my dog who was hesitant of the entire situation. Not to mention their prices were good. The staff and Drs are very knowledgeable , so caring and have helped my Einstein so much. They love all animals and it shows. Einstein has severe allergies and other issues . These guys (and gals) are fantastic. My fur child has had a few problems here and there from being a rambunctious beast, the guys (and gals) here, both vets and techs have never skipped a beat. On more than one occasion I have called and seen a DR. in a matter of an hour or two. I do not feel as though they have ever skipped a treatment, nor have I ever felt like they rushed an examination even if it is an unplanned visit. On every visit, no matter the nature, I always feel that I can ask any questions and receive an answer that I can understand. They even have pulled books out to explain a condition to me because I was curious about it. For better or worse, they know the name of my dog, and genuinely care for his well being. On more than one occasion, they asked me about the progression of a wound or healing process when they saw me for one reason or another a month or more after the fact (meaning they saw me and cared enough to take time to converse about pups health and wellness after the fact). Let's move on to their front desk staff. They have always treated me with respect and appropriate concern. They are knowledgeable on their own and can help ease or validate concerns you may have before you even get to the vet. They work quickly with accuracy from what I have seen, helping you get in and get out with your sick or hurt pup. They have dealt with my insurance paperwork with ease and have even handled the insurance company's request for additional information without a second thought. They even went through the trouble of copying the insurance forms on their own in case I didn't have the time or ability to have one prepared before our visit. It feels so good to know that they think about even the small details. Thanks to Delta Oaks Vets my pup is doing great and is a healthy trouble maker. Their pricing is appropriate and I have not felt that they have tried to push me on unnecessary tests or fees. In fact on one or two occasions, they did not even charge me for the visit, just meds.
