Not a good experience. I called to see if they could look at my horse. We don't have a trailer or a truck to take her to a vet, but this vet is right down the road from us. They stated they don't care for horses and WTH was wrong with me that I did not have a truck and trailer, and then hung up on me. Really??? What is wrong with these folks? Person on the phone is pretty rude when I called they hung up on me after being on hold for 10 minutes then when I finally do get through, he constantly talked over me and was not the nicest. But doctor Ann is pretty good and very nice. Also they refused to give me my pet's records which is terrible and the guy at the front desk comes of as a little cold sometimes. Read Less

Never have I ever been to a greater place than this. Dr. Ann spent more time with my dog than my surgeon spent with me. she is very affectionate, understanding and flexible. When I called the office because our dog was having an allergic reaction, the receptionist was nice enough and Dr Cox even spoke with me on the phone. But she also told me that it would be an emergency fee to be seen. When we got there we were taken into a room by office staff and they promptly took our pup "to get weighed." My husband promptly followed and found her being examined in a different room! She then proceeded to treat her without telling us what she was doing. At one point she even told me to get back because my dog might bite me! She knew nothing about us or our dog. She didn't take the time to ask anything. I think if we had not followed them, we never would have met the vet. They would have treated her and brought her back while we sat in the room waiting.if she were nicer, she might have found out that we are knowledgable dog people and you just don't treat people like that. I've had 3 other veterinary clinics in the 18 years I've lived in this area. I left Reid Veterinary because their answer to a disabled cat was always "put her down" and the cat was still living a quality life. Another vet retired and I didn't particularly care for his replacement. I left Willamette Veterinary Hospital in Corvallis only because of distance when I moved to Millersburg but I have nothing bad to say about them. Countryside Veterinary is excellent and I'd recommend them to friends and family alike. I have been an animal rescue foster and have had hundreds of animals in and out of my home so I'm not a novice pet owner. Countryside Veterinary and Dr. Anne have been very diligent in trying for over a year to save a dog with COPD, they've taken time with me when I don't understand the medical care and they've been super caring and tactful when I've had to put a pet down. They have evening and weekend hours and have stayed late for me when I've had emergencies. Please don't let one negative review from 2011 scare you away, this is an EXCELLENT vet. Read Less

Arrogant. Incorrect diagnosis, of kidney failure with only one blood test a slightly higher BUN but his CREATINE was just fine, sold me Enalapril for BP(ace inhibitor) without ever checking dogs BP or any other testing. Nor advised any other tests before selling me serious drugs my dog DIDN'T NEED. Dog was never fasted for test, urine never tested.Had a full blood panel done a week later by my Specialist and he said my dog DID NOT HAVE KIDNEY DISEASE. When I told him I didn't want to go back to her he said "I don't blame you, I wouldn't either".Shame on her for prescribing a drug without any other testing. These young vets seem to be full of themselves.Shame on this vet for giving me a very bad diagnosis, creating more worry for me, when my other dog had serious illnesses as well.Plus charged me $1 a page for a copy of my own blood work I had paid for!It has been a year since her diagnosis, and the dog is just fine.Shame shame on her.
