Highway robbery! This vet actually was going to charge me over $800 to spade my dog! I could not believe it. Before I realized what she was going to charge me, they had me bring her in for "presurgical labwork", I wasn't sure if this was necessary but I did it anyway, they said it would cost $40. So I had the lab work done, then I found out how much she was going to charge me to spade my dog so I canceled the appointment, and then I got an invoice in the mail for the pre-surgical lab work for $102.98! That's an outrage! Needless to say, I've changed vets, this was the last straw, I had been going to do that anyway because as another reviewer said she works with shame and guilt in an attempt to garner more charges. She's absolutely a terrible, ridiculously overpriced vet! I'm not sure how she stays in business.

Last year I brought two puppies in, one healthy puppy and one that I could not get to gain weight even after deworming and I was really concerned about her. She was rapidly losing weight so I brought her in, along with the healthy puppy, to get them both checked out.
The front desk person was really friendly and made me feel comfortable. However, when I was with the vet I felt like I was treated like I had abused the puppies. She told me both were “very unhappy and underweight. To be frank they look gross and if I had bought these puppies I would want a refund.” I knew the one had an underlying issue, but the other was very peppy and seemed perfect, so I was baffled. The vet was very condescending and I felt belittled (I honestly don’t get offended easily). She repeatedly said it looked like I had been starving both of them. She collected a fecal test and said we’d go from there. I cried the whole drive home, I put so much time and care into those puppies to be told I was doing a horrible job. I decided to get a second and third opinion because I felt so bad. The skinny puppy had an extreme case of worms that ended up passing within a few days. I took the healthy puppy to two other vets, which were the one located in Coburg and another off of River Rd. I had them do the assessment before telling them about my experience with Countryside and both vets said the puppy was perfectly healthy, one vet said that she was even a little chubby and I could cut back on her food a bit. When I told them what Countryside Vet Clinic has said about her they were surprised as well. I’m hoping that it was an off day, but I cringe when I think about my experience here and frankly am surprised by all of the nice things people have to say.

Throughout my life I've taken my animals to probably a dozen different vets. This is hands down the best office with the best vet I've ever been to! The office staff is Super friendly and really helpful. The price I've paid has always been MORE than fair! In fact it seems like every time I've brought an animal here they've gone above and beyond to make it affordable and I've always left feeling insanely blessed. With a dog getting older I've been in more often than I used to have to. We will be bringing our animals here for as long as we have them . Thank you Countryside Animal Clinic for always being so fantastic!

Throughout my life I've taken my animals to probably a dozen different vets. This is hands down the best office with the best vet I've ever been to! The office staff is Super friendly and really helpful. The price I've paid has always been MORE than fair! Horrible, horrible, horrible! After having a baby I made the mistake of changing veterinarians because of the long drive to town. Boy did I make a mistake. Dr. Cox works with guilt and shaming her clients. Both visits, one cat, one dog I got the same treatment. Neither animal had anything truly wrong with them but she told me that my cat may die without prescription cat chow. He didn't have a UTI and I asked for alternative higher quality food and she told me that wasn't enough. My dog she said needed prescription drugs to elevate her metabolism. When I questioned blood work come to find out she didn't even need it. If you want to pay for unnecessary treatment, procedure's and be spoken down to this is the clinic for you. Lucky for my animals they are happily back a delta oaks. I never, never should have left them no matter how long the drive.

This is a great veterinary clinic. Dr. Cox is a wonderful vet. She has the ability to explain her diagnosis clearly, without being condescending. She has changed my dog's life for the better. Her staff is the best. Very friendly and professional. We are very lucky to have this clinic in our town.
