I’ve had the worst experiences here since they got bought out. The front desk girl named Brenda doesn’t ever know what she’s talking about, gives wrong information, we were told it would take two hours for a simple vaccination, then showed up and they told me my dog was overdue when it wasn’t, the wait times are ridiculous. There are a few positive things like the young, lady vet and Saturday hours. But be prepared to wait a very, long time. My dog had a bad reaction to a treatment and they said we can’t help you we are closing soon. It was an hour before closing. I’m so unimpressed and would advise to take your pet elsewhere. I will NOT be returning and will be sharing my experience with all my associates that have pets as well. Read Less

I have been coming to this vet since the mid-90s overall the experience has been great but I'm getting sick and tired of them turning people away before they close. I took work off early to get here on time as they usually cut peoplepeop 30 minutes prior cuz that's what I've been told. But it's always a different story depending who it is you talk to. If they want to close at 6 and they should close their door at 5:30 to get the people that already checked in out on time. Otherwise they should just take people up until 6 and plan to leave an hour late. This is very frustrating. And this is why I'm giving it a two stars. I've referred many people over the 20 years I've been coming. I'm so disappointed at this point. All my pet was needing was an exam because he was limping. I want to add that when I came in at 5:20 they told me that they didn't want to take any more but they would go ask their manager and let me know so what really ticks me off is I sat there for 30 minutes waiting for them to tell me I even wave the girl down and ask her if she didn't come back to let me know finally I waved another guy down and he had the manager come out and tell me "oh they told you they couldn't see no more." But they said they were going to ask the manager and let me know so I sat there almost 40 minutes for nothing with my cat crying in the carrier that was the worst part of it they just don't communicate with with each other. So today my sister and her dieing dog came in at 3:20 pm and they turned her away because they took in their last walk in. My sister was hysterical and was telling them the story of weight loss and then not eating and vomiting. I even walked in and asked them what time they close and they said 4 o clock. So for 40 min they couldn't see her dog. We went to the emergency vet and all that was needed was an x ray. She ended up passing soon after, but we had to drive further away because they couldn't see her. I have had other issues and horror stories from this place. Please think before going here...... I took my dog to get neutered today and when I left he had a gash in the back of his leg and I took him back in to ask what happened and nobody could tell me what happened or how he got that gash. He ended up needing stitches and he had to be sedated after just coming out of his previous sedation. I was extremely upset and they said they would cover the cost of his additional service but nobody apologized to me they said “things happen”. Also when I dropped him off at 8am I had to wait over an hour for him to be taken back and checked before the neuter and when I picked him up I also had to wait a pretty long time for them to bring him out to me. Adopted a female puppy from Oregon Dog Rescue, paid $500 fee, which included the puppy being spayed and receiving Rabies vaccine. Appointment and reschedule was done through ODR, Brought, now 6 months old, puppy in for Spay, Vet and Vet Tech were awesome and explained everything. Front desk check in and check out completely ruined, what would have been a glowing review. Morning check in was abrupt, cold and not very inviting. Worse, when I picked my pup up they billed my card... for the full amount for the spay and vaccine. $154 more than they should have. I discovered it when I got home and called immediately. Receptionist said she could not correct it on the phone and I would have to return to have it done. The Hospital is in Tualatin and very inconvenient for me to get too. When I showed up, They were not going to refund me cash but just put a Credit charge reversal which can take two weeks. That means I get charged for interest for their mistake. They do not mark in the chart which dogs are ODR and which are not. The office manager was rude, unaccommodating, and needs training in customer service when your business makes a big mistake. The manager gave me a, "Oh well mistakes happen, and it will get fixed one way or another." She dismissed the incident casually. When I told her I would point that out on Social media, suddenly she was willing to give me cash and be done with it. The Vet and Tech were superb but the front need a lot of work. To much competition out there to make bad impressions. I and my family will not be back. See More Read Less

Took my dog in for a rabies shot, today is their special on shots. After waiting an hour to get back to a room the dr came in listened to her heart, took her temp and gave her the shot. When I went to pay the $8 special I was told it would be $28. When asked why the $20 difference the answer I got was by law the dr has to give an exam before they can give a shot. After I refused to pay the difference they refused to give me the rabies certificate. After speaking to a manager and getting the certificate I was told to never come back! If they would have said that an exam was required when I checked in I would have left. We will never recommend this place and the shift supervisor really needs to learn customer service. My dog has seen another vet her whole life (10 years) until August 2016 when she was exhibiting UTI symptoms and her regular vet wasn't available. She received such excellent care at the Keizer location that I took her back 4 months later when she seemed to have a seizure or stroke. She's my first dog, I didn't have a clue what was wrong. Dr. Morris was beyond awesome explaining to me about vertigo and when I mentioned blood in her urine, suggested an X-ray because it was most likely bladder stones. Unfortunately, it wasn't bladder stones, but a large cancerous mass in her bladder. Dr. Meese was there when I came to try and coax my pup to eat, but she was too nauseous. She and all the staff made me feel like I was doing SOMETHING right because of the way Louise responded to me, even just for snuggles. But then the weather decided to get bad and my girl was there 2 nights instead of one because they closed the clinic. I was only charged for 1 night. They could have easily charged me for both but they didn't. Last week, I made one of the hardest calls I've ever had to make, and Dr. Meese was so kind and understanding and gave me a lot of information. My sweet girl passed the next morning and yet again the staff was so kind and compassionate when I called to say I would be bringing her in. This was my first experience with the loss of a pet and can't praise the vets or the staff enough for how kind they were to me. I got Louise's ashes back tonight and they handed me her remains as if they were handing me a precious jewell, and to me that spoke volumes of the kind of people working for this particular branch of WVAH. I'm still grieving so I'm unsure if I'll ever have another pet, but if I do, I will undoubtedly take them to WVAH Keizer location.Read Less

I know a few people who use this particular vet and I myself have taken in a dog named jelly Bean a few times and didn't have a problem before. That being said, I had her taken in today with instructions to remove her stitches. However the doctors and/or receptionists today apparently can't pay attention to words coming out of customers mouths. When jelly bean was brought back to me with her stitches still intact I decided to call and ask why. I was then told that today is a day where they have an abundance of nail trimmings done therefore could not pay attention that they were told to TAKE OUT STITCHES. Instead they trimmed her nails and sent her on her way. It is not a difficult task to listen and act accordingly. Read Less

Dr. Stonner did my boxers amputation and left shards of bone at surgery, they sent him home dripping blood and only about an hour after surgery when they said they would do it early morning so he could be recovering. Then refused to fix it and didn't admit messing up for several months after a million different medications and treatments. My 7 month old puppy lived for 3 months after surgery in excruciating pain and I had no clue what was going on, we tried everything. They then put him down. I will always tell everyone I know to never go here. This was my companion pup and I miss him every day. I still owe on my care credit due to this joke of a veterinary clinic all they ever did was continually ruin things for us and I had no idea how wrong they were until it was way too late. They let my dog suffer with internal bleeding on their part by doing her surgery wrong. About a year ago me and my brother took our pit bulls in for them to be nurtured and spayed , they came home the next day from surgery and my brothers dog seemed happy and calm. My dog Diamond was a little off she seemed a bit sick but they said that was normal so we came home. The next day she was still feeling sick and at that point I just wanted to take her back in to get checked because she wasn't keeping any food or water down. As we were waiting in the lobby Diamond laid down and would not get up, a few minutes later she gets up and throws up blood, I was in shock and scared but I grabbed her and tried to comfort her I was yelling for the staff to come in and help or at least do something, they just sat there and stared for a few minutes then finally came out and grabbed her. I went in the back to talk to the lady who did surgery on her and she pretty much told me diamond had a chance of dying but she would try to save her but it was closing time soon so they were just gonna take her to the back and keep her on Ivs she said she was gonna check on her every now and then. Later that night she calls and let's me know that my baby had passed away. Point is, they were still within working hours with the vet available- yet she chose not do fix her first surgery because she was about 45 mins from closing. Later on that night, my dog died in their care. I do not recommend taking your animals here EVER!!! Even if it's an emergency, or near death.. They will most likely finish killing your dog for you.. And to add to the horrible service, they'll charge you a lump sum for doing it... I know about three people who's pets have died there in their care.Read Less

Today we bought in our dog because he was acting weird. He wasn't eating and wasn't wanting to walk around which is very weird and unusual for him. When we arrived we sat and waited for about 10 minutes. I then asked the staff if their was anyway to get him in sooner. At that point their were only 2 other people waiting to be seen. So the staff without saying anything just took him into the back and did an exam. Our dog must have gotten into something. They gave him fluids and decided to send him home. When the bill arrived so we could pay and leave we noticed a emergency vet charge. We asked what it was for and the staff replied that we had authorized an emergency visit and that was the charge. At no point did we authorize any such charge nor where we aware of such a thing with this vet! After a conversation with the office manager who was very abrasive and not sensitive to our situation I asked for the owner. The owner yelled at me as we argued about the charge and then authorized a return of the overage. She then stormed through the back of the office and started yelling and threw the paper at her office manager. The office manager then came up to me and returned the money. She then gave me a stack of papers and said "here are all of your pets medical records we are not a go fit for you anymore". We feel like we were taken advantage of in a scary situation and when they were called out on it they decided they will no longer assist our pets in the future. I understand we need to pay for services but costs should be revealed before and not when the bill comes. We have been loyal customers for 5 years and we have 4 pets so they definitely make money from us. But to be treated like this is absolutely unacceptable and we will be looking elsewhere for a more professional environment and experience. I caution you to look at your bill and don't allow them to authorize charges without telling you first.Read Less

This rating is for Dr Stoner - Not everyone in the clinic! my baby Boxer puppy only 9 months old, got into an accident and needed his right hind leg amputated in December, Dr Stoner did his surgery and sent him home right after when he wasn't ready, and ends up he messed up the surgery, he left part of his femur, and shards of bone inside the incision too. My dog was in pain for two months and they tried giving us different medications, but when we brought up fixing the surgery he wouldn't even fix his mistake, he said we needed to pay full price again and even then he didn't want to do it, we had no other choice because of our dogs stress of the injury for so long, but to put him down in March. I understand accidents happen, but Dr Stoner should not be doing surgerys if he doesn't know what he's doing. He took my baby's life from not wanting to take the time to double check his work before sending him home. Very unhappy with the care that my pet was given on 1/26/ 2016 by Dr. Meese. Took her in for ear check due to head shaking. Was told there could be a grass seed in her ear would try to wash it out. Then was told her ears were to sensitive to allow them to do anything. My animal came out shaking her head worse than she was going in. Ok I can see where that could happen after they tried to flush the ear, HOWEVER, she threw up all night and I noticed dried blood in her ear early the next morning. Took her to another vet and learned that she not only has a slight bacterial infection in her ears but her stomach as well. I WILL NOT RETURN TO KEIZER ever again with my animals and will warn others as well. Other tests with new vet have shown my dogs thyroid levels are high. She took time to talk to me on the phone for 30 mins, even accepted an email to look at x-rays I had gotten from the other clinic. She gave me hope that my cat would be ok. Then upon the appointment she was even more confident that my cat would be fine without drastic measures. I am so thankful that I came across such an amazing vet. Thank you so much. Read Less

I was extremely upset and they said they would cover the cost of his additional service but nobody apologized to me they said “things happen”.

PLEASE DO NOT THINK OF TAKING YOUR AMINAL HERE. Read Less

My 2 dogs & 2 cats have been patients here for 9 years. My 13 year old lab has pneumonia and has been getting worse. I called at 830 pm to see if she could be seen and was told "we don't have a doctor who has time for your pet." Way to make us feel important. We'll be moving on. The term "you get what you pay for" is true in all situations. Read Less

This is an awesome place and affordable. My cat got injured and I had taken her to a different vet 1st and found out some unhappy news. I called all over looking for somewere that could help us and be affordable at the same time. Then I talked to Dr. Reed and she gave me hope that the procedure I was informed would be needed, would not. Read Less
