The moment you walk in they greet you with a smile and they somehow seem to remember, amongst all the animals they see, little details about your pet that show they really care! Dr. Amy Stewart is INCREDIBLE: thorough, kind, excellent "detective" to figure out what may be wrong and teacher/advisor to explain care options. She's called us at 7:45pm in the evening to talk to us about our elderly dog experiencing dementia. She's called to check in on our 2-year-old doxie after an ear infection. What pediatrician, internist, dentist has ever done this? When she couldn't reach me by phone she sent me the most thorough and helpful email explaining a diagnosis. Pat, one of the vet techs, is wonderful too. I don't know the names of the other vet techs (I should!) but they've been great as has the receptionist. This is veterinary medicine "we REALLY care" about you and your pet at it's BEST. We did our research asking around who were the best small dog vets in the area and moved over to Full Circle 2 years ago. They are 5 stars. I say this after 30 years of seeing different vets in Oregon, Illinois and California for our lab, mixed breeds and doxies and with a brother who is vet in CA and now teaches at the vet school at Davis. We chose this Vet Office to board our mini doxie at during our wedding weekend. Their rates were very reasonable and the staff members were very friendly. We know we left her in good hands. Any dog lover that knows the dachshund breed well knows that they can exhibit anxiety. This was the case with ours when we left her but they did everything they could to make her stay as comfortable as possible (we also were allowed to leave her with any of her items from home i.e. bed, toys, food, etc). We can't thank them enough for their services. We also just moved to Oregon from out of state and we were glad we chose a vet clinic to board at instead of a boarding facility, doggy daycare, or at home set up because it was a nice way to get to know the staff before needing them for a more serious vet visit. 100% mark-up on potassium citrate supplements, as reflected on the photos attached below, is really disappointing. It seems Full Circle charges $44.50 for Potassium Citrate which Amazon sells identical product/amount for $19.90. Called to confirm the amount charged was correct prior to leaving this review. They stand by the markup indicating I paid this amount before on two separate occasions and the price had not increased since that time. Unfortunately, this does not justi...fy their markup. Further, on those two occasions, I had no idea they were marking their supplements up by double the Amazon price for the identical product. I was also disappointed after dropping of my pet's urine for lab work. When I called for the results, they refused to have a vet speak with me regarding the findings unless I paid for their time. I support markups for profit; but, double the cost for supplements, for me, is unacceptable and greedy. Also holding urine results hostage for profit seems inappropriate. My regular vet (who is not local which is why I took the urine here) consults on these issues for free. Full Circle had examined my dog before and administered vaccinations for this pet. Therefore, they were familiar with the dog and could have opined on the findings without charge. It would have been a brief call. I opted to have the results emailed to me and my vet. My regular vet called me and gave me a quick consult for free. I am not interested in being nickled and dimed when it comes to my pet. By far the very best experience I have ever had with a Veterinary location ever -- with all staff I have met, not just one or the other. Very knowledgeable doctors for ferrets (those are sadly hard to find) and they all seem to care much more about your pet's health and helping you/them than I have seen in a long, long time. Despite losing one of my ferrets recently, they helped me through every step of the way and even remained late after work once just to help -- and was willing to correspond regularly through emails (something much more convenient for my lifestyle). Vet expenses are expensive just like human expenses, but this clinic doesn't make me feel that it's about the money, they are there because they care -- and I am quite jealous I don't have a doctor's office with this much care. I would (and have) recommended them to everyone I know in need of a vet. I have moved a good 40-60 minutes away from their location and I still intend to return to them for my other pets. Full Circle Veterinary Care was close and easy to find. Their office was neat clean and professional looking. Their staff was all very professional. And most important they seemed very personal with us and our pet rat. I didn't feel rushed nor did I feel like they just wanted to get on with the next patient. The visit was thorough and educational and I feel our pet got exactly the care he needed. We even got some preventative skin mite care that was beneficial to BOTH our rats. Our rat is now better after a small respiratory problem and we will for sure go back! The only negative thing I can say is that I'd like to see the follow up appointments cost less not the full amount. Love Full Circle !!! Dr. Stuart is the first vet to prescribe medication that could get my dog through 4th of July without a total meltdown. They saw my neighbor's dog immediately when she thought he had an intestinal blockage. Her own vet would not fit her in! Veterinarians and their staff are knowledgable and caring! We have used Full Circle for the care of 4 dogs and 3 cats over 10 years. They are practical and caring and compassionate doctors. In addition to providing general wellness care, they have helped us during 2 emergencies with very sick dogs, including one with severe epilepsy. They include us in all decision making about our pets. All procedures and treatments are discussed and they provide rational advice and realistic outcomes before honoring our decisions. I've taken my cat to Full Circle Vet for a few years now, and I highly recommend them. The vets and the techs know their stuff and I trust their opinions. Their prices tend to be comparable with the rest of the west side of Portland, not more expensive because they're in Lake Oswego. They've gone above and beyond for my kitty and I truly appreciate it. They stayed after closing one night when I brought her in late in the day for an injured eye lid. They weren't grumpy about staying late, just courteous and professional, as usual. All three vets at Full Circle - as well as their staff - have been amazing. When I initially took my dying rat to the clinic as a new emergency patient, Dr. Sandy settled down on the floor in the clinic room, holding my unresponsive rat and making me feel she had all the time in the world for her. She explained all the options available to me and gave me lots of time to waffle before finally deciding to take the rat home. Since then, I've taken my psychotic Husky to Dr. Emily. She did not make me feel like an incompetent parent and took loads of time for my calls and drop-ins to the clinic for guidance on the best course of action for him. Dr. Sandy and Dr. Meg have helped me with my geriatric Lab both in the clinic and at my home when I needed to euthanize her. And poor Dr. Sandy has had to deal with yet another of my dying rats. Every encounter has been positive and loving. Every option for my pets has been thoroughly explained. I haven't felt judged by my frustrations with my crazy dog. This review is long overdue. I love Full Circle Vet and everyone that works there and Dr. Frey is really excellent. She is compassionate, smart and really takes care of my furry baby, Dolce. I would not hesitate at all to give them five stars for being awesome. My dog has extreme allergies and with time she is doing great and is almost at 100 percent. Took my orange Norwegian forest cat in with an eye problem that a different office near my home (which I won't name) said they'd look at and they barely LOOKED at his eye, or him for that matter, and tossed some expensive eye ointment at me and said its an eye infection, he'd be better if I put this goop in his eye three times a day. Well, he didn't get better after 3 days of struggling to get this Neosporin type goop into his eye, and in fact looked a little more miserable. (I would have been.) A patient of mine (I'm a dental assistant) recommended her office Full Circle and said they'd figure out what was wrong and they'd get me in that evening after work, even.So I rushed home to get Ted (the cat) and they did such a thorough exam, I was amazed. At the other vet, Ted would hide and whimper and hesitate to the dr's rough touch. I believe animals can sense a person's attitude and clearly Ted wasn't into hers. The dr we saw that day and the vet tech did everything they could to make Ted comfortable, including treats after every uncomfortable moment (which he loves...) and kept holding him and nuzzling him and I could hear his purr from across the room. They kept complimenting him on how handsome and brave he was and I think Ted could feel their calmness and felt totally at ease.Not only did the dr find a scratch on Ted's cornea, the medicine I was given at the other clinic was an antibiotic for an infection he didn't have. The Full Circle vet gave me some eye drops to sooth his eye and within a day or two he was back to his old self. I will only go to Full Circle for my cats from now on. Seeing the compassion they took for a fluffy orange cat with nothing but a scratched eye, I can only imagine what they'd do when I'd really need their care. I can't say enough about Dr. Frye, she's excellent with my frightened dog, clipping nails and getting in to check a wounded dog paw. Dr. Stuart is kind, caring and I especially like the way she treats my cats. Their vet techs are caring and capable and the front desk staff (especially Karla) are wonderful. This office does not have a lot of turn over, which tells me that people are happy here, and they stay for a reason. This year I signed up for the Wellness care package and have been saving money on vet bills. Yeah!I'd recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone in the area. Frey and Stewart, together with a warm and caring staff, were the people who helped me care for my beloved Westie during the last few years of his life.  After 14+ years, they also were of immense comfort when the terrible but inevitable day came when we had to euthanize our little friend earlier this year.   One expects great medical care from a dedicated veterinary clinic, which we got in spades, but it was always the gentle compassion that made this clinic so special.  We have recently moved from Lake Oswego to Wilsonville but will still drive to LO for pet care when we find our next Westie.
