I LOVE this vet. Dr. Ward has worked with me mostly and is always so helpful and informative and sweet with my kitties as well as all the staff involved. I haven't had a bad experience ever there. We just had an emergency with our cat (heart attack) and I called them to describe what was happening and based on the details they said get her in here as soon as you can and if you are closer to emergency pet hospital, go there. When I drove up, they rushed out to my car to get my cat and immediately got her on oxygen and calmed her and ultimately saved her. Highly recommend. Read Less

Kristen is awesome!  Our Javanese, Coco always looks amazing after visiting the doggy spa!  Coco, who is three was rescued from the streets of Cabo San Lucas and had never been groomed when we took her to Kristen, the care and love that she received was obvious when we came to pick her up, she looked radiant and calm.   We were so pleased with how well she took care of our little treasure, she's now adjusting to life in PDX and looks amazing.   This is the second pup we've brought to Oswego Veterinary Hospital and Kristen has been terrific with both dogs.  They love her and she makes them feel special, they always come away with that special pep in their step after a grooming. I've taken my dog, Tucker, to this vet twice so far for yearly visits and once for an urgent need. Every time they've been very thorough and patient in answering all of my questions and explaining things to me. Honestly, the most important thing to me (besides knowledge) is how they treat my fur baby. The vet techs here are amazingly sweet and genuine in their love for animals. Last weekend, they were nice enough to fit me in last minute before closing on a Saturday evening for the vet to check a mass on my pup. When my very loved cat was nearing the end of her life some time ago, the staff and vets were open and honest about what could be done. this is a wonderful pet hospital the whole staff is friendly, welcoming and so great with all my animals. i have been coming here with many of them over the years and they have treated each one of them with great love and knowledge to find just the right way of handling and healing them. the vets and techs are super each one very sweet with the family furry and not! They are great with care of the young and the final days of the elderly as well and as most pet lovers know it is not easy to handle every stage of care well. i even baorded my dog pippin there for 3weeks and he came back in great shape. We have been at Oswego Vet since we moved here from CA 3 years ago.  We have four cats, one elderly. They have been wonderful.  We especially had a great experience yesterday.   They were able to get our 18 year old cat in same day and determined she had a bladder infection.  She's already so much better a day later with the antibiotics prescribed.   The staff were so welcoming when we arrived and so sweet to our kitty, and the Assistant Vet was amazing and we just loved Dr. Sandifer's approach with us and our kitty.  Thank you so much! Our dog Simon has gone to Oswego Vet Hospital since he was a puppy for general care, grooming with Kristin, and boarding.  We have been impressed with every aspect of this clinic.  Everyone who works here is professional, kind, warm, and caring.  They've gone above and beyond at times to ensure that Simon gets the care he needs.Regarding grooming, Simon is a Labradoodle and they really do a nice job with the doodle haircut.  Many times I've been here I have seen other Labradoodles so the word must be out that this is the place!  I highly recommend Oswego Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for the very best. We have been taking out cats and dogs to Oswego Vet since 1994 when we moved to Lake Oswego,  We have continued to take them here, even though we moved out of Lake Oswego in 2001.  While there have been changes and new vets since Dr. Tongue took over the practice, the level of care and attention our pets have received has always been consistent and wonderful.  We have been seen by every vet on staff, and find them to all be very attentive, knowledgable and compassionate, especially during our pets end of life visits.  The rest of the staff is wonderful as well, including Eve (grooming) and Kat (boarding), who always go above and beyond.  I would highly recommend Oswego Vet, and gladly have on many occasions. This vet office has so much compassion,it blew me away. My first visit there was my 15 year old lab was having seizures, could no longer walk, and was in distress. My daughter researched vets in the area, and chose this one, for the moment had come to say goodbye. This is never easy, but everyone there was so kind and thoughtful. We had recently stopped seeing another local vet, that seemed very money driven, instead of the concern for the animal. We have a small Doxie, who will certainly see these vets from here on out. Even after I moved 10 miles away from the hospital, I still keep bringing my pets here for veterinary care, boarding and grooming - all the doctors are great, very compassionate, very knowledgeable and very friendly. All nurses and staff are really caring; they seem to genuinely love pets. I also prefer the more personalized care, not like a huge, impersonal branch of a big chain veterinary hospital.
