I have been coming to this office for years and have loved them from the beginning. They are very personable, down to earth and truly care about your animals well being. Recently my dog was diagnosed with bladder cancer and I was pretty emotional. Dr. Brian and Launa, along with the whole staff, made myself and my sweet pup feel so loved and cared for. I cannot thank them enough and will recommend them to anyone.

My horse layla had a bad case of stringhalt a few years ago and I was told by her old equine vet that she needed to be put down. Dr. Brian being my dogs vet, i had asked him for advice. He suggested a surgery removing the tendons in her back legs to help control the leg jerking, and it may not help at all, but it was her last option. I had him perform the surgery of corse, and was told she could never be ridden afterwards. Layla healed up and made such a great recovery that for 2 more years she could be ridden on short trail rides with no problem. She is now retired and enjoying the good life thanks to Dr. Brian and the wonderful team at ELVH. Layla is actually in their calendar, the only horse that won the drawing :-)

I can't say enough about East Lane and the amazing staff! So caring! For you and your pet ! You are family when you walk through the door. The Reister's and their team will do everything and anything to come up with solutions to any pet quandary . Whether it is welcoming a new pet to the family and getting a full exam and immunizations. Flea control ,general education. And the one we all dislike so much. End of life services. They know, and they understand our bonds . It's probably the hardest thing about their jobs, but you can be rest assured complete dignity and professionalism. Like I said..... can't say enough !

I don't normally do these, but I have been going to this clinic for 6 years and have not found any place that can come close to compare! This vet is the best you will find, hands down! He genuinely cares about animals and people's relationships with their pets, and actually knows what he's doing. He doesn't try to scam people or do something for you in order to get more money out of people. I've called in on an emergency question, left a voicemail, and he called right back with an "at home"solution, without trying to get me in and take my money. Super friendly environment. Can't say enough good things!

We first came to east lane about a year ago. We had a dog with seizure problems since he was a baby and I had heard amazing things about Brian. We decided to switch from our regular vet and it was the best decision we made. We just lost Autzen after 4 years. Thanks to Brian and the team Autzen was mostly seizure free right up until the end. They are open on weekends (on call) and always got Autzen's meds called in the day I requested. It's hard to distinguish business and love for your work with animals but Brian does that. The price always shocks me with how low it is compared to other places. Thank you for all that you do East Lane.

I highly recommend this vet!!! These guys treated us great when our dog needed emergency surgery. Some backstory; I had gone to a vet in Corvallis a year prior to my visit with East Lane for an issue with our dog, and they thought she might have pyometra (an issue that can quickly become life threatening). That vet gave her fluids and a non necessary test that didn't figure anything out. Then they told me she could die overnight if it was what they expected, and that they needed to keep her overnight. Well, it wasn't what they expected and she was fine by the morning. It turned out to be nothing more than explosive diarrhea. And the whole thing cost me $1500.00!!! For essentially nothing! I have had similar experiences with countless vets in Eugene and Springfield. When I took her to East Lane this year, Dr. Shelley suspected she had pyometra. Again! I was not looking forward to how much money I was going to be out of pocket for nothing again. They took a simple swab and looked at it under the microscope, then did a quick sonogram and confirmed that was what she had (in like 5 minutes). And I was thinking , "What? In 5 minutes they figured it out! That other vet ripped me off!" They also sent her home with ME, and scheduled her for an emergency 3 hour long surgery with Dr. Brian for the next morning. The entire diagnosis, surgery, 3 different types of drugs, and post-op care cost me a little less than 900 bucks with them. When it would have cost me about 2500-3000 dollars anywhere else. And yes, I called around just to make sure I couldn't get it done somewhere cheaper because it was a lot of money that I didn't necessarily have immediately available. East Lane was willing to work out a payment plan as well, which a lot of other vets don't even offer. So, I would highly suggest going to these guys if you need vet care. For them, it is about the love of the animals and not the money they can milk out of their clients like most other vets.

I would give more stars if possible!! We switched vets a few years ago based on a friends recommendation. We were hesitant at first because our fur babies are so important to us. Dr. Brian and staff are more than amazing! They treat our animals like they are their own. Friday we had our Pug undergo a surgery to help with his breathing. Dr Brian was leaving on vacation right after the surgery. He called me TWICE yesterday, ON HIS VACATION, to check on him. Someone who is willing to do that indicates his passion, dedication and love for ours and all animals. Thank you Dr. Brian and staff for keeping our fur babies healthy!!

The best vet clinic on the planet! I moved from Upriver to Veneta two years ago and even though it's a 45 minute to an hour drive, one way, I still wouldn't take my dog Lily anywhere else. We have been going there for 10 years. They saw us through the death of Lily's sister, Sadie and were so caring and compassionate! All of the staff and Dr. Brian and Dr. Shelly are the best!

I can vouch for East Lane Veterinary Hospital - they've been my vet for six years and they really are terrific. I did animal rescue work for a non-profit in CA and came to Oregon with a small herd of unadoptable special needs cats. Within a week one of the "kids" needed emergency care on a Saturday. We didn't know anyone here to hit for a referral so I opened the phone book. East Lane was the first vet I reached who didn't totally blow me off - they listened and once I explained kitty's problem, they made time for us and stayed after closing to treat her. It was the beginning of a relationship I value beyond measure.Over the years I've dealt with more vets than I can count, but I've never run into one I respect and trust more than Dr Brian Reister. Our cats ills are complex, chronic, and sometimes life threatening - Dr Brian and his staff have handled everything I've thrown at them with both kindness and top notch professional care. If you live in the McKenzie River area and have animals, you probably already know how very fortunate we are to have East Lane in our community. These are very special people.

The Reister's and their team will do everything and anything to come up with solutions to any pet quandary . Whether it is welcoming a new pet to the family and getting a full exam and immunizations. Flea control ,general education. And the one we all dislike so much. End of life services. They know, and they understand our bonds . It's probably the hardest thing about their jobs, but you can be rest assured complete dignity and professionalism. Like I said..... can't say enough !

I don't normally do these, but I have been going to this clinic for 6 years and have not found any place that can come close to compare! This vet is the best you will find, hands down! He genuinely cares about animals and people's relationships with their pets, and actually knows what he's doing. He doesn't try to scam people or do something for you in order to get more money out of people. I've called in on an emergency question, left a voicemail, and he called right back with an "at home"solution, without trying to get me in and take my money. Super friendly environment. Can't say enough good things!

We first came to east lane about a year ago. We had a dog with seizure problems since he was a baby and I had heard amazing things about Brian. We decided to switch from our regular vet and it was the best decision we made. We just lost Autzen after 4 years. Thanks to Brian and the team Autzen was mostly seizure free right up until the end. They are open on weekends (on call) and always got Autzen's meds called in the day I requested. It's hard to distinguish business and love for your work with animals but Brian does that. The price always shocks me with how low it is compared to other places. Thank you for all that you do East Lane.

I highly recommend this vet!!! These guys treated us great when our dog needed emergency surgery. Some backstory; I had gone to a vet in Corvallis a year prior to my visit with East Lane for an issue with our dog, and they thought she might have pyometra (an issue that can quickly become life threatening). That vet gave her fluids and a non necessary test that didn't figure anything out. Then they told me she could die overnight if it was what they expected, and that they needed to keep her overnight. Well, it wasn't what they expected and she was fine by the morning. It turned out to be nothing more than explosive diarrhea. And the whole thing cost me $1500.00!!! For essentially nothing! I have had similar experiences with countless vets in Eugene and Springfield. When I took her to East Lane this year, Dr. Shelley suspected she had pyometra. Again! I was not looking forward to how much money I was going to be out of pocket for nothing again. They took a simple swab and looked at it under the microscope, then did a quick sonogram and confirmed that was what she had (in like 5 minutes). And I was thinking , "What? In 5 minutes they figured it out! That other vet ripped me off!" They also sent her home with ME, and scheduled her for an emergency 3 hour long surgery with Dr. Brian for the next morning. The entire diagnosis, surgery, 3 different types of drugs, and post-op care cost me a little less than 900 bucks with them. When it would have cost me about 2500-3000 dollars anywhere else. And yes, I called around just to make sure I couldn't get it done somewhere cheaper because it was a lot of money that I didn't necessarily have immediately available. East Lane was willing to work out a payment plan as well, which a lot of other vets don't even offer. So, I would highly suggest going to these guys if you need vet care. For them, it is about the love of the animals and not the money they can milk out of their clients like most other vets.

I would give more stars if possible!! We switched vets a few years ago based on a friends recommendation. We were hesitant at first because our fur babies are so important to us. Dr. Brian and staff are more than amazing! They treat our animals like they are their own. Friday we had our Pug undergo a surgery to help with his breathing. Dr Brian was leaving on vacation right after the surgery. He called me TWICE yesterday, ON HIS VACATION, to check on him. Someone who is willing to do that indicates his passion, dedication and love for ours and all animals. Thank you Dr. Brian and staff for keeping our fur babies healthy!!

The best vet clinic on the planet! I moved from Upriver to Veneta two years ago and even though it's a 45 minute to an hour drive, one way, I still wouldn't take my dog Lily anywhere else. We have been going there for 10 years. They saw us through the death of Lily's sister, Sadie and were so caring and compassionate! All of the staff and Dr. Brian and Dr. Shelly are the best!

I can vouch for East Lane Veterinary Hospital - they've been my vet for six years and they really are terrific. I did animal rescue work for a non-profit in CA and came to Oregon with a small herd of unadoptable special needs cats. Within a week one of the "kids" needed emergency care on a Saturday. We didn't know anyone here to hit for a referral so I opened the phone book. East Lane was the first vet I reached who didn't totally blow me off - they listened and once I explained kitty's problem, they made time for us and stayed after closing to treat her. It was the beginning of a relationship I value beyond measure.Over the years I've dealt with more vets than I can count, but I've never run into one I respect and trust more than Dr Brian Reister. Our cats ills are complex, chronic, and sometimes life threatening - Dr Brian and his staff have handled everything I've thrown at them with both kindness and top notch professional care. If you live in the McKenzie River area and have animals, you probably already know how very fortunate we are to have East Lane in our community. These are very special people.
