They were backed up but we're able to fit my pup in on an emergent basis only charging an extra $30 so I Took my dog here and learned so much more than I expected about things even unrelated to why I brought him in just from chatting with the vet tech. The vet herself was also very nice and answered every question I had. My dog is very fearful of strangers but they handled him really well and he wasn't nearly as scared as he usually is. After examining him they showed me their treatment plan and told me how I could customize it to save costs, even discounted the visit for me to the regular cost rather than the urgent premium cost. Within a couple of days he was already getting better and by the end of the week he was back to perfect health. Read Less

I love this Vet and all of the Staff! Dr. Johnson is wonderful. I have a 10 year old Doberman Pinscher whom in her old age is getting grumpy with other dogs and not one time did they treat her like she was a dangerous dog. They even asked me how she did with other animals before they took her back and I told them honestly and they went out of their way to prevent any situation by moving other dogs into kennels for a short time to get my dogs blood work done in a calm environment. The techs are ALWAYS loving all over my dog, giving her treats and squeaky toys to get her to stand her ears up and take her picture. While talking about treatment plans Dr. Johnson was sitting on the floor letting my almost 100lb dog lay on her lap. I feel like the "high prices" directly reflect the love, care, and dedication all the girls there have to caring for the animals and clients. Keep up the good work! ~M. Pearson Read Less

Paws Animal Hospital is a very clean and amazing animal hospital. Dr. Johnson is nice and is knowledgeable. All of the vet techs are nice and treated my animal with care and like as if they were handling one of there own. When my father and I went there it wasnt for the best reason. We were putting down my 15 year old yellow lab. They gave him best of the last of his life. They cared for him and helped him feel great before he passed. I now know to go there anytime any of my animals are in need of help. I want to say a big thank you to Dr. Johnson and all of the vet techs! Read Less

Had a horrible experience. I took my 6 month old German Shepherd in for a general check up (my first time going) and right off the bat they treated her like a dangerous dog. She was a little timid, but didn't growl or try to bite and yet the vet tech was completely afraid of her and didn't want to touch her any more than what was absolutely necessary. Then they took her in the back room to draw blood and wouldn't let me be with her while they did it. After I got her home, the spot under her throat where they had drawn blood was extremely painful for her and she yelped whenever she turned her head. I called about it asking if it was normal, and they told me it wasn't but not to worry about it. It was sore for hours. A few days later, a huge abscess formed in the same area and I called to make an appointment to get it looked at. They told me I could come in the next day, but when I showed up for my appointment, they told me I was scheduled to come in the day before! But they were able to squeeze me in to get her looked at. Now as soon as I took my dog into the exam room, she started growling and acting completely fearful of the tech, which wasn't normal for her at all. So then they brought out a muzzle to put on her for the exam and she completely freaked out as soon as she saw it! That tells me they had probably man handled her and forced it on her in the back room where I couldn't see. She wasn't at all cooperative and didn't want them touching her. The vet told me it looked like an abscess but I would have to leave her there for them to lance it. I was in tears when I walked out because of how scared my poor baby was, I could hear her screaming and howling as I left. Well when I picked her up, they vet bill was $400 and they insisted they had nothing to do with how the abscess occurred and refused to even apologize for how my dog was treated! I was livid. I paid the bill and have never stepped foot in there again. My dog obviously had been mistreated in their hands and they wouldn't own up to what they did. After that, it has taken many visits to another vet and positive exposure to make her start to calm down. She won't even walk in the door of a vet office without freaking out, but it is beginning to get better. I would never ever consider giving them my business again. Read Less
