My family has taken many dogs and cats to this clinic. They are thorough and informative. The lobby and the exam rooms are clean. They have sweet mascot pets in the office. I adopted an animal and the shelter promised a free health exam, with no particular vet backing that promise. This vet honored a free health exam for my adopted animal. They also offer "lifetime" rabies shots, which requires only a one time payment and includes boosters at no extra charge. (They don't last any longer than the vaccine elsewhere; the difference is pricing.) I will continue to take my pets here! Read Less

The actual vet and vet tech were great. The online process of scheduling is not good. I completed the form online and was later sent an email saying they received the info and please call to get Lola in “today.” When I called the receptionist she had NO information and I had to repeat everything. I am very busy and online booking is optimal for me - when it works. Don’t offer online scheduling if it’s going to cause your customers twice the work. Doctor was great with Lola. We had been looking for a new vet in our area and saw that Milner had great reviews. They really do live up to the expectations! We were greeted by very friendly staff who got us and our cat checked in very quickly. We were back to the exam room within minutes with more friendly staff. All areas were spacious and clean too. They were quick and kind with all the exam as well. We saw a temporary vet who was great and made sure to tell us that if we liked him we were sure to like everyone else there too! They were also considerably cheaper than our last vet (it was around $180 for just an exam there and they only gave knock off meds) and it was only $100 for the check-up, flea medicine, and necessary vaccines. I was able to get my Rottweiler, Rowdy, in on short notice today. He'd been sick over the weekend and they were so kind to understand my worry. All the staff and Dr. Milner were so patient and gentle with him. He has some pretty bad vet anxiety from a bad experience at another vet. They were so patient and understanding, making it a very positive experience for him. They took time to talk and listen, explained everything to me. So affordable too! I am new to the area of Oregon City. I was looking for a Vet for my new puppy and read reviews for Milner Vet and based on those reviews decided upon establishing care there. I am so glad I did. The staff are very professional and kind. I haven't had any issues getting an expedited appointment when needed. The doctors (I have seen both Dr. Adrian and Dr. Alex) have done such a great job taking care of my puppy, including discovering and treating my puppy had worms, a tick, an ear infection and doing his neuter surgery (all in this past year). The doctors take their time with you and answers every one of your questions. You can tell they really love what they do by how gentle they are with the animals. Dr Milner has provided wonderful care to my lab, Enzo. I was able to get a same day appointment. Front office staff were friendly and efficient. Dr. Milner and the other veterinarians on staff were patient answering my questions. Today was our first time at Milner. Our dog was in the vet hospital 2 days ago due to a really bad laceration under his tongue and had lost an insane amount of blood. Today his stitches ripped and Milner without appointment took him in and got him stitched back up. Also made it harder for the stitches to rip again and made our boxer very comfortable. Dr. Berthrong was amazing, he was very caring and did absolutely everything he could to fix the issue before referring us to an exotic animal vet due to the severity of his issue. My cat that was born on my lap the day my most loved one passed away 8 yrs ago was declawed when I was young in Prineville, OR by Ochoco vet clinic. They did a terrible job and her claws grew back caused her severe pain to walk. I took her back there and they did surgery again. 6 months later her claws still grew back. I felt she had been through enough. Later on I took her to Beavercreek vet and they told me she was in a lot of pain and should be put down if not treated. I already paid over 3,000 for this ERROR they referred me to Milner Vet. I was in tears worried it's just gonna happen again DR ALEX was the best guy ever saved her life and me as my cat is ALL I have left in my life battling a uncurable illness and several things. He did x-rays and seen there were SEVERAL bone fragments scattered in her paws and had to open her pads to get them out. I never knew how serious it was. He took so much time with me and charged me pennies compared to what I paid for any other service. They called and checked up on her after surgery, all the staff was sweet and caring. Even had a intercom saying "chicken" (my cat's name) has arrived! I can't express how GREAT this facility is and never will go anywhere else my family as well! We've been bringing our animals to Milner Vet for years and are extremely happy, but I was especially happy with the care we received in our beloved cat Amelie's last days. This spring we learned our cat had cancer. While I think our broken hearts would have made us an easy target for less scrupulous vets, I was grateful for the compassionate honesty we received from Dr. Alex Berthrong. Right up front, he recommended that in order to preserve her quality of life, we not put her through costly and questionably effective chemo and instead we focused on keeping her comfortable so her time remaining would be content and full of love, not full of sickness.  As our little family gathered around her at the very end, Dr. Berthrong quietly and compassionately explained what we'd be seeing as she received the shot and helped create a loving space from which we could send Amelie off. We were so grateful to be able to really focus on our girl in those last days instead of agonizing about treatment and sinking thousands of dollars we don't have into a fruitless pursuit. Instead of putting pressure on us, he provided honesty, comfort, and compassion.We continue to bring our other two cats and two dogs to Milner Vet. The compassionate care we've received from Dr. Milner, Dr. Berthrong, Tanya, and the front desk staff is wonderful and we appreciate that they always put the pets' well being first. In the past I've worried that going to a vet can be a little like seeing a mechanic--we have no understanding of the science behind it, don't have a way to know what's really needed and what's just a costly add-on, but like our dependence upon our cars, our love for our animals can make us susceptible to things that are perhaps not in the best interest of the animal or the family. I recently had an emergency and instead of passing me off on an emergency vet they said to come in right away and they would squeeze me in. I was seen immediately upon arriving.Sadly, it wasn't the best outcome.. I felt like the staff really went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, they took the time to explain everything and were with me every step of the way. They are always there for us and able to squeeze us in when needed for emergency situations. My corgi is pretty nervous and they are exceptionally comforting to her.  Love the dog wash too...the only thing that I could ask is maybe keep the doggie was open till 5:30 or 6:00 one night per week?  That would get us in there more often as with my work schedule and traffic makes it difficult to get in by 4:00... ; ) Read Less

I have had big dogs forever and have taken good care of them. Being part of the family. Have been through about three vets. Left first for grossly overcharging on putting a dog down. She got to full of her self. Left another because it was sold to a large corp and you never saw the same young vet twice. Another for there perpetual up sale. Didn't listen to my opinion just continued on with there seemingly rehearsed lines. And always wanted a several hundred dollar overnight  stay for observation.
