One of my cats has been seen several times by the doctors there. They are great with both the animals and their people and take time to explain the nature of the illness and possible treatments. They don't rush to the most expensive option immediately but rather begin with simpler diagnostics and add to those if needed. My most recent experience was purchasing prescription food for my cat. The price was much more reasonable than I have experienced at other veterinary hospitals and I will be purchasing food from them in the future rather than from an online site. We were given incorrect pricing information for a series of vaccinations that we were talked into. The receptionist admitted we were given incorrect information about costs but made no attempt to correct it. As a result, I paid for the first injection that now is worthless. I had a 14 year old chocolate lab girl that was the most amazing pet ever, sadly with age and sore hips we had to put her to sleep last week. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life! We chose to take her to Plesant hill animal hospital to do this and it was the best decision we could have made. They were extremely compassionate to my family and myself. A few days passed by since we let go of our girl Autzen and a sympathy card came in the mail and was signed from all the amazing staff that work there! I am so impressed with Plesant hill animal hospital and appreciate how they treated us, they truly made a hard time a bit easier and made us feel like family. As a former vet tech, whose sister is a vet, I appreciate the quality of the care my cat received. From a very thorough exam, to solid recommendations for both acute care and wellness care follow up visits, PHAH delivered. The tech handling my cat was careful and caring. And the receptionist worked hard to find a same day appointment for us. She called us back to schedule us for an appointment that had been cancelled. This is a professional animal hospital that's easy to access and has the friendly feel of a small town practice. Our Los Opso Bentley was bit and thrown around like a rage doll by a pit bull last week and we didn't know if he was going to make it. We rushed him to Pleasant Hill Vet and Dr. Larson along with the Staff did a wonderful job of saving our dog. The follow up care and time they put into caring for Bentley was amazing. Our new family member decided to eat a bee. Yikes. Her face swelled up and she wasn't acting like herself. We called out vet and they wouldn't see her they were just to busy to be bothered with our emergency. Over the years with our dogs, we've been to several vets/animal hospitals. I was referred by a friend to Pleasant Hill Animal Hospital, and though it's a little bit of a drive, it's well worth it. I took my dog here for 11 years until she passed. Always nice, compassionate and friendly. Not in a rushed mod vet clinic. They take the time to really know you and your pet. The price for care, meds and vet services are very good too. If we get another pet we will take it to them for sure. I had to leave my dog overnight and felt confidante that she was in good hands. We adopted a new puppy and needed to get him in for his last few puppy shots.  They got is in within the week.  When we got to our appointment everything was ready for me to fill out.  The front office gal was extra friendly.  I had to bring my 18month old along with me to the appointment.  They had puzzles, books and a little table in the waiting area.  Our Vet tech got back quickly.  Friendly, got down on the floor to clip his toenails and ask questions. (we were sitting on the floor reading books) The Vet took her time for his exam, answered our questions, explained her recommendations.  They had all the charges itemized, easy to understand and read prior to receiving treatments.  Overall it was an excellent first visit.  We will be back in 3 weeks for a booster and every year for his exam!!
