Dr. Leu and Tina are the BEST! These other reviewers are like me and took their time to write a review because it is so RARE to find care like you will find here. Both Dr. Leu and Tina helped our dog with her allergy but more than that referred us to a specialist to get her help with what later turned out to be esophagitis and Inflammable Bowel Disease. All the other vets (and I mean a lot of other vets) just kept giving her different prescription food, steroids, and medication. Dr. Leu listened and knew it was something else going on - dogs don't just lick the floor or their noses due to allergies. He treated her for her yeast allergy and referred us on and finally after YEARS of this issue, she is on a treatment program treating her real issue. Tina and Dr. Leu also call back and spend time listening, supporting and recommending other options. They always email/call back in a timely manner and never make you feel like they are rushed even though you know they are. As mentioned, we have gone to several vets and they are the real deal. They treat you and your pet with consideration, support and understanding and they FIX the problem. Thank you, Dr. Leu and Tina. Agree with Laura, had been down a 'must be allergie$' road for 2 years. After 2 visits with Dr. Leu I feel like my dog has never had such a thorough exam before in his life. Literally tip to tail, mechanical, structural, innards, skin, all of it. I feel like my dog has been really seen and understood. We are finally on the road to a solution, not chasing possibles. I am completely amazed and grateful of Dr. Leu. After taking my basenji to two different vets over the last year trying to get his itchy rash under control, he nailed it within 5 seconds. He is finally becoming his old self again. The others just gave him a prescription and cream and suggested I do extensive allergy testing and who knows how much more they would have charged. The rash always came back but not this time. Dr Leu and his tech Tina, are my heroes. I don't ever post on social media but feel strongly enough to because of this experience. He spends time explaining things which I find refreshing as all the other vets I have visited make you feel rushed to get to the next patient. They really care about animals and I am so grateful I found them. He is a wealth of knowledge and it makes me sad that the vet industry has taken such a turn into a for profit business with unnecessary tests instead of just taking care of our beloved family members. If I could give Dr. Leu and Tina a 10 star review I would!!!If you have a pet with a frustrating skin condition...Don't walk... run to this place!After spending hundreds if not thousands of $$$$On my English Bulldogs Pyoderma issue and going to numerous vets... I was getting nowhere! So I found Dr Leu on yelp and decided to go to him. First of all, I agree with all of the other positive reviews Here.  Before my first appt, Dr Leu reviewed my dogs recordsAnd sent me a lengthy email about what He thought the problem was etc....Wow! I was impressed! What vet does that?Dr Leu was the first and only vet to tell me that my bulldog had to lose weight or this pyoderma would NEVER go away!The excess weight was causing him to bare downOn his front paws therefore causing the skin lesions When I had asked other vets about his weight they said he was fine!Not only did Dr Leu address the skin problem, but he gave me a plan and prescriptions for ALL my dogs issues!!!He even prescribed the cheapest Meds needed and talked me out of more expensive ones!!TCall in for refills instead of having to come back every 30 days!!!And guess what?  It is all working. My dog lost weight with his prescription dog food and after over a year of expensive other vets and their treatments... my dog is finally getting better!!!!One month with Dr Leu and the difference is AMAZING! Tina is amazing too! Very knowledgeable and caring!I don't know how the 2 of them handle everything the way they do! We absolutely love Dr. Leu and Tina! They provide the best care for our old pup, who has an autoimmune skin condition. Whenever I visit their office (which is quite often due to our pup's issues), I feel like family. They are so laid back, but provide the best care I could imagine. It's really nice to go to a small clinic where they know you and your dog.Additionally, one of the best parts of their clinic is their in-house pharmacy, so I don't have to go elsewhere to pick up prescriptions. We love Tina and Dr. Leu!  Best care we have ever received.  We have a highly purebred German Shepherd, and Dr. Leu knew just how to fix his skin condition.  We don't go anywhere else, even for routine vaccinations, because we saw the difference.  We hope they don't retire soon. Read Less

Dr. Leu is amazing!!! My dog has demodicosis, I was taking him to the Animal Allergy & Ear Clinic in Beaverton, but after being treated so poorly I found this place. I have a German Shepherd Lab mix and was informed by Dr. Leu that Shepherds should not be on the medicine the last place was giving me because it can kill them. He offered me another option that is much safer. My dog is very stubborn when it comes to putting on a muzzle, but Dr. Leu and the vet technician were able to get him muzzled after a struggle. I appreciate that they did not get frustrated with my dog. They both seemed to really love animals and even offered my dog some turkey after the muzzle was off. Dr. Leu went way beyond my expectations of the appointment offering me advice on how to make him less scared of going to the vet and the muzzle. My experience with the last place was so bad that I think anything would've been better, but Dr. Leu is amazing with animals. My wife and I are so grateful to Dr. Leu from the Animal Dermatology Clinic. When we got our cat from the shelter he already had chronic ear problems that the shelter vet told us about. This caused him to drain small amounts of pus from time to time. Over the next five years we took him to many, many vet appointments and saw at least four different veterinarians that I can remember. They advised all sorts of diet changes and lab tests. At some point along the way my wife noticed a small growth in the cat's ear and we pointed this out to at least two of the veterinarians, but nobody made anything of it. The last vet we saw before Dr. Leu was at a chain vet clinic, and there the vet did an ear culture and prescribed antibiotics and steroids to help with the infection. We followed all the instructions, and three months later our cat was no better.We were exhausted with all this effort and no lasting results. We were trying to find a cat ear specialist, and a friend told us that a veterinary dermatologist is the closest thing.We took our cat to Dr. Leu and gave him the basic story outlined above, at first not saying anything about the growth in the cat's ear. After hearing the story about our cat's problems Dr. Leu started examining our cat, and after about 30 seconds he said "It's because he has a growth in his ear. He does have an infection, but as long as he has this growth no amount of antibiotics are going to help him because it's going to keep getting infected." Our cat had to have a minor surgery, and thankfully the pathology report said that it wasn't cancer. After surgery Dr. Leu placed our cat on a similar antibiotic therapy to the previous vet, but this time it worked. Now, several months later, our cat is happier and more active than we have ever seen him. He no longer has gross ear discharge. It's amazing that the first four veterinarians were so little help, but I guess in every line of work you have people who are just sort of mediocre at their job, and others who are great at their job. Dr. Leu is amazing. My English bulldog suffered from infections on a regular basis, we used to take him to the animal allergy and ear clinic in Beaverton and spent so much money but he wouldn't get better. Dr. Leu did a skin scrape and showed us on a monitor exactly what was the problem. He is on medication and after just a week he was doing amazing!!! I highly recommend this place!!!! Read Less
