Thank you so much for seeing our pup on short notice! We needed a vaccination when visiting Portland, and the folks at Hollywood Pet Hospital were professional and kind. The vet did a through exam and talked with us about our dog's overall health, and the vet tech was great with a big, shy dog. The reception staff was great both in scheduling and check in. Hollywood is a true local vet gem. The entire neighborhood was overjoyed to learn that they weren't leaving when surrounding properties were acquired for development in 2016. Reasonable costs, military discount, and no high pressure sales of unnecessary procedures. We arrived in PDX with an aged cat and dog, and they saw both through to the end. We're taking our new animals there and wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone. Read Less

These guys are absolutely amazing. My cat had his first asthma attack today which was an absolutely terrifying experience because being 430PM on a Friday nearly every vet in my neighborhood was unavailable. I called and was able to get an appointment 15 minutes from the time my cats asthma attack began and Hollywood Pet Hospital was able to give my cat enough oxygen for me to make it through rush hour traffic to the VCA South East Portland Veterinary Hospital and get him the care he needed. Unlike every vets office I've dealt with in the past they seemed far more concerned with the well being of my cat than with the number on my credit card. Great establishment. Phenomenal human beings. They collectively have taken care of my two goldens and six cats over the last thirty years. I can't say enough good things about this crew. Dr. Ward and Dr. Long are so compassionate. Dr. Long has cared for our golden, Jake, from rat poison and at 13 years, an inner ear condition that we thought would be his last. They have shared the joys of puppies and kittens to the love for the aging. I'd buy stock if they were selling! Read Less

I am so happy a friend of mine recommended Hollywood Pet Hospital! I brought my newly adopted 3 month old kitten in and had plenty of questions! The staff is so friendly, welcoming and I feel like they genuinely care! I have called a few times since my last appointment with questions/concerns and Dr. Long has been incredibly helpful. The prices are way way to high here, I needed a line of credit. It just seems every answer to any illness is we need to run a test. blood/stool/UA.  had a bad vibe...took my pets somewhere else. Not everyone is financially secure, some pet owners are students or on a fixed income. Just something to think about Read Less

I so appreciate the kind and friendly staff, I love that it's a smaller clinic where the owner is also one of the doctors. I can tell the staff like working there and of course love animals. I look forward to having a permanent vet for my two furry kids. Read Less

Wonderful staff - I actually can't say enough for them. My dog was plagued with medical needs and they did a fabulous job of diagnosing & treating him. When he did pass away the entire staff went way above and beyond the call of duty to help him and offer me condolences. I would highly recommend them. Read Less
