Dr Robert Bruno is a down-to-earth, caring vet. My small dog broke her leg and was in so much pain. I was able to get in right away the same day. It was killing me to see her in such pain. I've been taking my pets to the Brunos since they opened in 1998. It has only improved over time and they have a very knowledgeable and caring staff. Thank you, Dr Bruno for being there for my baby.

We had such a scary experience with our boy...he got into something poisonous at Oaks Bottom and for a time we thought we might lose him. He was so very sick. Moreland was so amazing. I went to another vet across town that recomended some questionable treatments and charged a lot. Dr. Scott and the rest of the staff are efficient and kind, and are very down to earth and honest about diagnosis and treatments. My dog is never scared to be there and the prices are very reasonable. I am so happy I changed to this vet.

These guys are the best! Always willing to work with us if $ is a concern AND the office exam is only $55 (for cats). So it isn't a huge burden to take your pet in for minor injuries.

We have been using this clinic since it opened in 1998. The staff is the most caring group of people in the business. They take all their clients seriously and provide the best care possible. I personally know the people who work here.. do NOT take your animals here!!! The employees only work here because they "can't find another clinic to work in" and a lot are burnt out (including the vets) to the point where it is just protocol to put another animal down. It is cheaper than a lot of places, but why do you think...? It's like the McDonalds of pet care... they can end up making your animal worse! This place is also FILTHY.
If you have a feline, I greatly recommend taking them to the Cat Hospital of Portland right down the street on 13th and Tacoma :). They are AMAZING and clean!

excessive treatment of the symptom (itchy skin) instead of trying and help me figure out the source of my cats skin problems led to his early death after organ failure, likely brought on by the 6 steroid shots they gave him over the course of about a year.
After i found out how bad the shots were for him i stopped taking him there, and figured out on my own he had a food allergy (everything cleared up when i switched him to a raw meat diet, which i know isnt "suggested"). But at that point the damage had been done and it turned out he only had about a year left in him, he was only 5.

We have been going to this wonderful people for 5 years now. We have had to have two of our much loved dogs put down and they are absolutely amazing through the process. This includes a handwritten card a few days after expressing their concern for us. I have never felt pressure to do unwanted procedures or medications. They have always followed up with our pets after a more serious visit. We moved 30 minutes away and still continue to take our littles ones to Moreland Veterinary Hospital. We have a dedication to them because they have always had a dedication to us!

We have not been as pleased with the other, newer male Dr. (I can't recall his name, sorry!) His tableside manner is standoffish and he is constantly pushing expensive procedures and meds. So, just request Dr. Bob when you make an appointment!

I feel extremely lucky to have this clinic in my neighborhood. We've had two emergencies and both times were given prompt service, and the cats were given excellent care. Both are fine now. Recently, our elderly dog had to be euthanized and the entire staff was repectful and honestly touched by our loss. It made the process easier, which also helps with the healing. I've loved animals all my life and I can tell this is a place that loves them too.

These guys are the best. The care is as good or better than any clinic in town, and they don't nickle and dime you for every little thing. If you are on a tight budget they will happily work with you to see if there are aspects of your pet's care you can do at home so you can avoid a costly hospital stay. When I had to euthanize my cat I got a card signed by all the doctors and clinic staff. Knowledgeable, competent and compassionate care.

Very caring Dr. and staff. Highly recommended. I've been to many vets and these guys are the best. Very professional but take the time to treat you and your pet with care. When my cats got fixed, they invited me to come check up on them during visiting hours! It really helped me not worry so much, particularly because the kittens were already playing again by the time I got there.

I personally know the people who work here.. do NOT take your animals here!!! The employees only work here because they "can't find another clinic to work in" and a lot are burnt out (including the vets) to the point where it is just protocol to put another animal down. It is cheaper than a lot of places, but why do you think...? It's like the McDonalds of pet care... they can end up making your animal worse! This place is also FILTHY.
If you have a feline, I greatly recommend taking them to the Cat Hospital of Portland right down the street on 13th and Tacoma :). They are AMAZING and clean!

excessive treatment of the symptom (itchy skin) instead of trying and help me figure out the source of my cats skin problems led to his early death after organ failure, likely brought on by the 6 steroid shots they gave him over the course of about a year.
After i found out how bad the shots were for him i stopped taking him there, and figured out on my own he had a food allergy (everything cleared up when i switched him to a raw meat diet, which i know isnt "suggested"). But at that point the damage had been done and it turned out he only had about a year left in him, he was only 5.

We have been going to this wonderful people for 5 years now. We have had to have two of our much loved dogs put down and they are absolutely amazing through the process. This includes a handwritten card a few days after expressing their concern for us. I have never felt pressure to do unwanted procedures or medications. They have always followed up with our pets after a more serious visit. We moved 30 minutes away and still continue to take our littles ones to Moreland Veterinary Hospital. We have a dedication to them because they have always had a dedication to us!

I have seen two doctors here - Dr Davis and Dr Kay Bruno. Both are great. Very attentive, good with my animals. The techs are competent and personable. I've had a few problems with communication through the front desk people but unfortunately that seems pretty common in this world.

Dr. Bob and his wife (the Brunos) are both great. They have taken wonderful care of our golden retriever and two cats. We had to have them put one of our cats to sleep and the staff were kind. We have not been as pleased with the other, newer male Dr. (I can't recall his name, sorry!) His tableside manner is standoffish and he is constantly pushing expensive procedures and meds. So, just request Dr. Bob when you make an appointment!

I feel extremely lucky to have this clinic in my neighborhood. We've had two emergencies and both times were given prompt service, and the cats were given excellent care. Both are fine now. Recently, our elderly dog had to be euthanized and the entire staff was repectful and honestly touched by our loss. It made the process easier, which also helps with the healing. I've loved animals all my life and I can tell this is a place that loves them too.

These guys are the best. The care is as good or better than any clinic in town, and they don't nickle and dime you for every little thing. If you are on a tight budget they will happily work with you to see if there are aspects of your pet's care you can do at home so you can avoid a costly hospital stay. When I had to euthanize my cat I got a card signed by all the doctors and clinic staff. Knowledgeable, competent and compassionate care.

Very caring Dr. and staff. Highly recommended. I've been to many vets and these guys are the best. Very professional but take the time to treat you and your pet with care. When my cats got fixed, they invited me to come check up on them during visiting hours! It really helped me not worry so much, particularly because the kittens were already playing again by the time I got there.
