If you want the best for your pet, steer clear! I originally took my dog in because she was behaving strangely after our cross -country move to Portland. After the vet and vet tech told me she needed a blood panel test, full exam, and then sold me $110 worth of heart worm medication (a total of $350 for just a drop in visit), I was then told she needed a dire dental cleaning and tooth extraction, and that it should be done at once. Being the concerned pet parent I am, I was eager to get it scheduled and did so on the spot. I was quoted $1,900-$2,900 for the procedure, and was told that the $2,900 would be the top end of the cost. Ok, sticker shock! However, I knew it was needed for her health. I notified them that my husband (who was not there for the examination) would be bringing her for the procedure as I was traveling for work. They instructed that we not feed her breakfast the day of the procedure, and to bring her in promptly at 8 am for surgery following that. He dropped her off, and at that time they told him the procedure was to cost $2,300, right in line with the quote. He also asked that they call as soon as the procedure was done. When it was 3pm and he hadn't heard anything, he decided to call, and they hadn't even started her surgery. She had gone almost 24 hours without food for no reason. They assured us that they were about to start the surgery and they would let us know as soon as it would be complete. Shortly after they hung up, they called my husband to say that the new cost was $3,300. Absurd. We ask that they not do the procedure and he then went to pick up our confused, hungry dog. The vet behaved obliviously when my husband interacted with her, and there's no way you could get us to return. Seriously. Think twice about where you go for your pet's care. i would not return. If anyone had a great recommendation for a good, local vet that is interested in the health of my pet, please let me now - I'm in the market. Read Less
