The receptionist was very rude and condescending over the phone. I considered going to a different clinic but getting my kitten neutered with the help of the Oregon Spay/Neuter Fund was a priority for me. I was quoted around $86 for the neuter and was charged over $100. Still a low price, but as a college student it set me back more than expected. When I picked my kitten up he smelled slightly of urine. I assumed it was just from him peeing a little on himself. Upon getting him in the car the stench was so bad we pulled over and found all his white legs stained yellow from urine and his tail reeked as well. Honestly think this location is a fantastic veterinarian. Incredibly knowledgeable and great with my dog. You can even feel the difference when you walk in, these guys/gals are above the standard vet. But they have been completely disrespectful to me on several occasions when trying to understand my animals care. I just took my pet in and left because I couldn't get over the condensing attitude I keep getting with every question asked.... Yes I would like you to show me that's why I am asking!!!! Sorry I'm not as understanding and s*** crap hot as you with this stuff, but I would like to know. But the fact is this is the best vet I have found from here to Medford, so I'll be going back in an hour or two when I'm over being irritated. So smile some more at my blank questioning face and don't talk at me like this is standardized common knowledge because if it was no body would need to go to you. Cheers Read Less

Response to Clinic comments:  I was never offered any sort of test of any kind.  I am the one that questioned the medicine that the breeder had my puppy on and asked if I should continue.  I was told no reason to continue.  I went to the vet to learn exactly what to do had I been offered any sort of test I would have taken it.  The response does not surprise me and the lack of follow up by this clinic is exactly what I would expect.I have considered this review for many days before actually posting knowing how a negative review can damage a business.   Let me first say I will never take my new puppy back to this Vet and hope that anyone considering doing so researches first for the good of their pet and their wallet.I picked up my new puppy on Feb. 25th.  I wanted to make double sure that this little guy got off to a healthy start so before I traveled to pick up Murphy (my puppy) I had already made the appointment.  Armed with tons of questions, documents from the breeder, shot records and a puppy that had a very upset tummy I headed to The Pet Clinic.  Once I arrived and gave the front desk, my documents they begin to question me as to where I got this puppy and why did I not get one from a rescue.  To me it felt as if I had done something wrong by not getting my new family member from a shelter.During the appointment we let them know of the bowel movement issues and the fact we have a yard that we are unable to keep deer out of so the little puppy might have come in contact with deer poop.  We also asked them about a stitch he had in his tail and could they remove it.  They said the stitch will fall out and if it was not out on March 16th when we came back for shots they would remove this stitch.  After giving Murphy the ok we headed home.  The issues got worse, we started seeing blood in his stool, and he was sleeping more.  We started to get very concerned and took him up to the VCA Emergency Clinic. VCA did extensive test and also looked at his record and said he should have had a worming on 2/29 according to the breeder records.  The Pet Clinic totally missed it and showed no concern about his loose stool.  We learned that Murphy had all sorts of different worms.  Some of them most likely from deer poop and others just happen, which is why you worm puppies.  The situation was now very bad and required almost $150.00 worth of meds but the more important thing was our poor little Murphy was sick.  It has taken us almost 2 full weeks to sort poor Murphy out.  He is just now having normal bowel movements.  It required 4 different meds, special food, etc.The stitch that was going to "fall out" . Well not only did it not fall out but because it was left for the additional time part of it cannot be removed without causing him pain.  We decided to wait for him to be fixed and do the tail at the same time.   I went to The Pet Clinic after lots of research and feel like they really let me and my puppy down.  I will now be taking my dog to VCA for all medical care.  It might cost me a little more but you sure get what you pay for.  I now get a complete emailed summary of each visit, what they checked, etc.  Everyone in the office knows Murphy and are very concerned for his health.  I did not get that feeling at The Pet Clinic.  Very disappointed with the lack of care Murphy received at the Pet Clinic.. I took my cat in for a flea problem and just generally check up, and my fiancé and I had to wait for 45 minutes to see the vet. Without an explanation of why it took so long. The tech at the front seemed to know what she was doing, but the one that assisted us was very rough with my cat. She didn't rub me the right way, and then we finally saw Dr. Ken, who was fabulous! But we only saw him for 7 minutes then we had to wait another 45 minutes for the same tech to come back with the shots. The tech didn't screw the needle in the syringe properly and when she tried to get my cat with the needle it split apart and squirted fluid all over his coat! She said "this kind of thing happens all the time". Then we had to wait another 20 minutes to do the shot that she messed up! We finally got out of there after 2 and a half hours. Overall: The vet is very nice there but the tech's and professionalism fall very short. Read Less

I brought my dog into get neutered and told them that he was abused before I got him so he was sensitive with his tail and hips because of it. But I would bring him in muzzled so he couldn't bite since thats the area they would be touching.. They informed me that they have an "aggressive dog" charge of $40. So naturally I asked several questions because I didn't want to be charged this. Basically I was informed that they only give that charge if the dog is lunging at the cage and completely uncontrollable. Which my dog has never been like that. When I got there I didn't get to talk to anyone or ask questions they just signed me in and took my dog to the back and when I came back to get him they charged me the "aggressive dog" fee. I asked why and they said "He got his muzzle off and was lunging at the doctors face and trying to bite him, but we were eventually able to get the muzzle back on." I know that was bull because first off, HE CANT GET HIS MUZZLE OFF. As well that is not in any of his behavior pattern. I'd give it one star but the receptionist lady was nice. I payed $125 for him to get neutered and his rabies shot when I was told it would be $80 altogether. As a young college student that was way too much to pay when I could've taken him somewhere much kinder for the same price. Read Less

We dropped our lab/pit bull girl Juno off this am. This was her first visit there and when they took her back she was happy to go and didn't even look back when my son told her goodbye. We were told she would probably be ready to go around 4:30 from her spay, shots and nail clipping appointment. We were near the office about an hour early so we stopped in to check on her. We were told she was still a little out of it but we could take care of the bill and instructions then. Our bill was less then expectedand she gave us thorough instructions and took plenty of time answering our questions. We went to do an errand then came back to get Juno. We heard people telling her goodbye when she was coming down the hall and looked liked she hadn't minded being there, she was bright eyed and happy so we will continue to bring our pets here. Of course she crashed at home. We are happy with all of our experiences there! Read Less

Not impressed with the rather rude receptionist when I called about getting a cat spayed for a low income family. She didn't tell me about their low cost program and acted like she didn't give a darn. I called other organizations to learn of the low income spay/neuter program. The clinic quoted a price for the spay, vaccinations, etc. but the end total was twice what we were quoted. The cat had a flea bath and natural repellent right before the vet visit and we could not find a single flea on any of the pets. Yet they said the fleas were just flying off the cat and charged for flea meds that the owner did not want. You would think they'd want repeat customers so maybe they'd be a little nicer, explain things better and explain their mid-month low cost vaccines... instead of charging this poor family full price for a vaccine (in the middle of the month) Read Less

The amazing people at The Pet Clinic saved my dogs life. After the loss of my brother in february, my fiancee gave me an australian shepard pup named Storm. The people we got him from lied to us about having him vacinated and he ended up getting sick with parvo. But thanks to all the amazing staff and doctors, Storm won his battle and is now back to being my happy healthy companion. I am so very thankful and appreciative for all that they have done for us:) Thank you, Elena Read Less

They neutered my dog and they didn't kill him so I am pretty happy with that. However, they were supposed to have given him a Rabies shot while he was there and they gave him to me saying all the services were done. Fast forward a bit and I need his shot records to be bordered. They let me know they didn't get his Rabies done because they were busy. So they gave me a free one... this is a big deal to me, a huge deal. If I had never called for his records I would probably have never known..Not an acceptable mistake.. Read Less
