Business owner / manager (Josh) does not support or care for the neighborhood in which he has set up shop. When called about the homeless he allows on his property, he screamed like a child at me and hung up. Despite the vast information he was provided (drug use, human waste, robbery, etc) all on the edge of a neighborhood and with a preschool across the street, he refused to listen or budge. Adopted a female puppy from Oregon Dog Rescue, paid $500 fee, which included the puppy being spayed and receiving Rabies vaccine. Appointment and reschedule was done through ODR, Brought, now 6 months old, puppy in for Spay, Vet and Vet Tech were awesome and explained everything. Front desk check in and check out completely ruined, what would have been a glowing review. Morning check in was abrupt, cold and not very inviting. Worse, when I picked my pup up they billed my card... for the full amount for the spay and vaccine. $154 more than they should have. I discovered it when I got home and called immediately. Receptionist said she could not correct it on the phone and I would have to return to have it done. The Hospital is in Tualatin and very inconvenient for me to get too. When I showed up, They were not going to refund me cash but just put a Credit charge reversal which can take two weeks. That means I get charged for interest for their mistake. They do not mark in the chart which dogs are ODR and which are not. The office manager was rude, unaccommodating, and needs training in customer service when your business makes a big mistake. The manager gave me a, "Oh well mistakes happen, and it will get fixed one way or another." She dismissed the incident casually. When I told her I would point that out on Social media, suddenly she was willing to give me cash and be done with it. The Vet and Tech were superb but the front need a lot of work. To much competition out there to make bad impressions. I and my family will not be back. See More Read Less

I consider myself extremely blessed to have found this vet clinic.  I had some concerns, as my previous experience with larger vet clinics has not been good.  BUT, I'm so glad I tried them out.  I took my boys in for their yearly check ups and all went well.  Then I took my newest rescue Dobe in to complete some tests, and a checkup.  Following this, I took my other old sweet Dobe in; who was diagnosed with terminal cancer.  Throughout the process, they were sweet and supportive.  As it gets closer to the time when we'll have to say goodbye, they've been helpful in providing the information and need and being all around understanding and great. My dog has seen another vet her whole life (10 years) until August 2016 when she was exhibiting UTI symptoms and her regular vet wasn't available. She received such excellent care at the Keizer location that I took her back 4 months later when she seemed to have a seizure or stroke. She's my first dog, I didn't have a clue what was wrong. Dr. Morris was beyond awesome explaining to me about vertigo and when I mentioned blood in her urine, suggested an X-ray because it was most likely bladder stones. Unfortunately, it wasn't bladder stones, but a large cancerous mass in her bladder. Dr. Meese was there when I came to try and coax my pup to eat, but she was too nauseous. She and all the staff made me feel like I was doing SOMETHING right because of the way Louise responded to me, even just for snuggles. But then the weather decided to get bad and my girl was there 2 nights instead of one because they closed the clinic. I was only charged for 1 night. They could have easily charged me for both but they didn't. Last week, I made one of the hardest calls I've ever had to make, and Dr. Meese was so kind and understanding and gave me a lot of information. My sweet girl passed the next morning and yet again the staff was so kind and compassionate when I called to say I would be bringing her in. This was my first experience with the loss of a pet and can't praise the vets or the staff enough for how kind they were to me. I got Louise's ashes back tonight and they handed me her remains as if they were handing me a precious jewell, and to me that spoke volumes of the kind of people working for this particular branch of WVAH. I'm still grieving so I'm unsure if I'll ever have another pet, but if I do, I will undoubtedly take them to WVAH Keizer location.Read Less

I know a few people who use this particular vet and I myself have taken in a dog named jelly Bean a few times and didn't have a problem before. That being said, I had her taken in today with instructions to remove her stitches. However the doctors and/or receptionists today apparently can't pay attention to words coming out of customers mouths. When jelly bean was brought back to me with her stitches still intact I decided to call and ask why. I was then told that today is a day where they have an abundance of nail trimmings done therefore could not pay attention that they were told to TAKE OUT STITCHES. Instead they trimmed her nails and sent her on her way. It is not a difficult task to listen and act accordingly. Read Less

I appreciate that they are an economically easy choice. Their prices are not nearly as crazy as many other vets. that being said, i guess you get what you pay for. I definitely find their customer service lacking...especially those in the front end. A smile costs nothing ladies. But other than that I've always had a great experience with the vets and I love knowing I can take my fur babes and it won't break the bank. And the vets understand giving you options, because like many, I'm on a budget. Your pets will be taken care of and loved on and that's a great feeling! Read Less

Dr. Stonner did my boxers amputation and left shards of bone at surgery, they sent him home dripping blood and only about an hour after surgery when they said they would do it early morning so he could be recovering. Then refused to fix it and didn't admit messing up for several months after a million different medications and treatments. My 7 month old puppy lived for 3 months after surgery in excruciating pain and I had no clue what was going on, we tried everything. They then put him down. I will always tell everyone I know to never go here. This was my companion pup and I miss him every day. I still owe on my care credit due to this joke of a veterinary clinic all they ever did was continually ruin things for us and I had no idea how wrong they were until it was way too late. We were on vacation in Salem when we needed to take our little doggie in and help her cross over the rainbow bridge. I called their office and the young man told me to go ahead and come on man and that we would not need to sit in the waiting room but they would have a room set up for us. The doctor came in and went over all of our options. After deciding that we would go ahead with it the vet took her in to get her IV while we filled out the paperwork. She came back with a baby who had her Paul wrapped up with little heart bandages and explain to us the entire process. After it was all done she wrapped her up and placed her in a box so we could take her home and bury her. The vet then gave me a huge hug and said she was so sorry and allowed us to go out the back door instead of having to walk through the lobby with other people. Read Less

They let my dog suffer with internal bleeding on their part by doing her surgery wrong. About a year ago me and my brother took our pit bulls in for them to be nurtured and spayed , they came home the next day from surgery and my brothers dog seemed happy and calm. My dog Diamond was a little off she seemed a bit sick but they said that was normal so we came home. The next day she was still feeling sick and at that point I just wanted to take her back in to get checked because she wasn't keeping any food or water down. As we were waiting in the lobby Diamond laid down and would not get up, a few minutes later she gets up and throws up blood, I was in shock and scared but I grabbed her and tried to comfort her I was yelling for the staff to come in and help or at least do something, they just sat there and stared for a few minutes then finally came out and grabbed her. I went in the back to talk to the lady who did surgery on her and she pretty much told me diamond had a chance of dying but she would try to save her but it was closing time soon so they were just gonna take her to the back and keep her on Ivs she said she was gonna check on her every now and then. Later that night she calls and let's me know that my baby had passed away. Point is, they were still within working hours with the vet available- yet she chose not do fix her first surgery because she was about 45 mins from closing. Later on that night, my dog died in their care. I do not recommend taking your animals here EVER!!! Even if it's an emergency, or near death.. They will most likely finish killing your dog for you.. And to add to the horrible service, they'll charge you a lump sum for doing it... I know about three people who's pets have died there in their care.Read Less

Today we bought in our dog because he was acting weird. He wasn't eating and wasn't wanting to walk around which is very weird and unusual for him. When we arrived we sat and waited for about 10 minutes. I then asked the staff if their was anyway to get him in sooner. At that point their were only 2 other people waiting to be seen. So the staff without saying anything just took him into the back and did an exam. Our dog must have gotten into something. They gave him fluids and decided to send him home. When the bill arrived so we could pay and leave we noticed a emergency vet charge. We asked what it was for and the staff replied that we had authorized an emergency visit and that was the charge. At no point did we authorize any such charge nor where we aware of such a thing with this vet! After a conversation with the office manager who was very abrasive and not sensitive to our situation I asked for the owner. The owner yelled at me as we argued about the charge and then authorized a return of the overage. She then stormed through the back of the office and started yelling and threw the paper at her office manager. The office manager then came up to me and returned the money. She then gave me a stack of papers and said "here are all of your pets medical records we are not a go fit for you anymore". We feel like we were taken advantage of in a scary situation and when they were called out on it they decided they will no longer assist our pets in the future. I understand we need to pay for services but costs should be revealed before and not when the bill comes. We have been loyal customers for 5 years and we have 4 pets so they definitely make money from us. But to be treated like this is absolutely unacceptable and we will be looking elsewhere for a more professional environment and experience. I caution you to look at your bill and don't allow them to authorize charges without telling you first.Read Less

I've been taking my Lab here for the last year and haven't felt taken care of once. For starters, he has had a limp since he was fixed in the Keizer location. It may or may not have anything to do with something that happened doing surgery, but when I brought him to ask about it, I was told it didn't exist. Every person who meets my dog asks why he limps, yet the vet can't even acknowledge that it exists. Most recently I took him in for his 1 year check and boosters. Reviewing his paper work, they had changed his breed from "silver lab" (100% pure bread, with papers to prove) which is what I had written down, to "lab/weimaraner mix" which is what the first vet had said she thought he was. I know it's small and pointless, but I find it disrespectful to change the information I gave them based on their own opinions. During his "exam" he was weighed, and had his temperature taken. That was it. The vet did not look in his ears, did not look in his mouth, or examine his skin. Lastly, the receptionist has never once looked up from her computer screen, never had greeted us with a smile, and has not once said anything along the lines of "have a nice day" or "thank you for coming in." Easily the least approachable women in the clinic. After our last visit, I received a request to fill out a survey regarding my experience which I completed. I thought I would have heard back from them about any of my concerns, but have not. Read Less

I could never say enough good things about this place.  I have taken my cats to several vets in this town, and no one can even touch what this place has to offer.  Besides the fact that their prices are beyond reasonable, the CARE and TIME they showed each and every one of our furry family members was truly unbelievable.  We never felt rushed.  I asked a million questions, and the vet answered each and every one without ever making me feel like I was a pest or making her late for something.  From the sweet gal at the front desk to the guy who took our kitties vitals down to the vet herself.....it was a wonderful experience.  I honestly did not think I would ever find a decent place in Salem.  I have had the experience of people being rough with my kitties, being rude and condescending to me, cleaning out my bank account.....none of that happens here.  This is our vet home now. Good service minus the front desk and lack of aftercare help with my pet once she was sent home. Wendy, the front desk lady was pretty rude. She was very short and when you asked her a question or asked for something else she acted like it was the biggest imposition for you to be taking up her time. Maybe she was just having a bad day? I'm not sure, but my suggestion is her boss needs to educate her on not only patient care but also customer service. The doctor, Natacha was very nice and caring. The vet tech was nice but he was pretty quiet and didn't say much.I just wish they would've given me some instructions for the medications they prescribed my dog once we got home. If you're from Tualatin and care about our neighborhood, the crime, and safety our our community, think again before supporting this business. Read Less

Read Less

The vet tech was nice but he was pretty quiet and didn't say much.I just wish they would've given me some instructions for the medications they prescribed my dog once we got home.
