We live in Oregon City and don't hesitate a minute about making the drive to Silverton in order to take our German shepherd mix. They are FABULOUS! After a horrible experience with an Oregon City vet's office, we took our dog to Abiqua, and in less than five minutes, the real problem was found. Unfortunately, it was so late in the game, she required surgery, but the office was AMAZING and, two years later, our pooch still loves going to their office. This past month, she was diagnosed with a condition common in German shepherds. While not life threatening, it is a chronic condition and will require monitoring once it goes into remission. Dr. Varney helped us find a compounding pharmacy in order to make the prescription affordable, which enabled us to make a decision based on what is best for our dog while making the impact on our wallet one that we can absorb.
