Summary of below: Poorly staffed and what staff they do have is rude and incompetent. I moved to the area in the beginning of the year and needed a new vet for my dog. A coworker mentioned having a good experience with the her Banfield in Hillsboro. So I thought I would try the one here in WIlsonville. From the beginning I didn't have the greatest impression. The staff always seemed too preoccupied to give my dog and I much attention. When I would ask the vet questions I often received "I don't know" as an answer, and that seemed ok to them. There was never an offer to try finding an answer.More recently I took my dog in for her comprehensive exam. When I went to pick her up I was notified that she had an abnormal test result and needed two more tests totally almost $400. The cost wasn't an issue for me, but the information the vet gave me was minimal even when I asked questions.I was told my test results would be back in two days and they would call me as soon as they came in. Well here's where it get's good. It was 2pm of day two and I had not received word from the vet, so I called. I was told that my results were back but I would have to wait for the vet to explain them to me and the vet was currently with a patient but would call me as soon as she was done. Ok, so I waited knowing my results were in and wanting to know what was wrong with my dog. An hour later no phone call, so I called back, the vet is still with a patient and will call me as soon as she is done, again. I received no phone call. (Side note, there was only one vet available each day that week, because the third vet was on vacation. No one to fill in for an entire week? Hm)So when I got off work at 5pm I went to the clinic in person. Again I was told the vet was with a patient and I would have to wait for her to call me. I said I would wait there until she was done. So I was put into an exam room. I didn't have to wait very long for the vet to come in however, she clearly hadn't looked at my dogs results yet and was reading through them while I was there, fine at least I'm finding something out, right? All the results are negative, which is good, except we still don't know what is wrong. But now there is another test to determine whether the original test was picking up a vaccine or an actual disease. What! Why didn't we do this test originally considering we all knew she had this particular vaccine? Well the vet didn't know there was such a test. Do I do the test knowing my dog has had the vaccine and am pretty sure I know what the results will be? Why not just treat her based on the information we already have? Well the test is only $26 and they already have enough of a sample to do the test at the lab, but I still have more questions and want to know why I should do this extra test. By this time however the vet has left me and I'm talking to the tech. The Tech asks me "is she showing any symptoms?" I tell her my dog has no symptoms other than the abnormal test, the tech responds "well that's a symptom". Really lady! So first of all I did say "other than" her test results, and second the test results you found are why I'm here! By the way this gal in particular was rude beyond compare the entire time I was at the vet's office. She was not able to answer my questions so she puts me back in the room to talk to the vet and let me know the vet was informed and is on her way in to talk to me.I waited about 10 minutes before the vet walked by the room noticed I was there, came in and asked me if I had more question. Oh boy. I couldn't help myself. I laughed and told her yes I did. I don't think she appreciated my laughing, but at this point I am taken aback by the way they are treating their clients.I go back and forth with the vet trying to figure out why I needed this test and why we couldn't just treat my dog. I finally figure out if the result is positive for the vaccine then we still don't know what is causing the abnormal test result. Ok, fine let's do it and the results will be in tomorrow, they will call me "as soon as they are in". Well tomorrow was a Saturday, Monday finally came along so I called them. As expected the results are positive for the vaccine and negative for the disease, now what?Well I decided I was done with the way this clinic was treating my dog and myself. My friend talked me into going to the Banfield in Nyburg. What a huge differnce! They were nice, helpful and answered all my questions before I could even ask them, and very informative. Way to go Nyburg Clinic! By the way the course of treatment ended up being the same as it would have been before, if I hadn't gotten the extra test. I do not recommend the Wilsonville clinic to anyone. There was one nice person, the receptionist. Who was also having difficulty with how to charge for a service, and no one would help her either. So they are not just rude to clients they are even rude to their own receptionist. Read Less
