I took a very sick little cat to the office today. It was his first visit to his new doctor. He was so nervous and so was I. The staff was wonderful and went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable. They showed tremendous compassion and care for him. Thanks to their excellent care and experience he is safe and warm at his home. He is going to have a rough couple of days ahead however we have such faith in our new friends at Albion Animal Center. In my personal experience and opinion this office should not be doing surgery for ectropion. I have heard the phrase "botched surgery" more than i care to mention. Should have known it was messed up when I had to take my dog to a different vet to replace stitches and she commented that "she sure did cut a lot off". My dog will always have to have eye drops in her eyes to prevent dryness and infection, especially since she doesn't have any eyelids or tear ducts. I was never informed that this type of surgery rarely works out well or that my poor dog would have lifelong complications from this. Ask for a second opinion. Do not allow this vet to do this surgery to your dog. There are specialists out there who are better trained. Read Less
