We've been bringing our three dogs here for a couple years now and have always had such a wonderful, pleasant experience each & every time. From the moment you see the front desk receptionist, to the technicians and all the way to the doctor, every interaction with the staff is always positive & professional. They really make you feel comfortable and that they truly care about your pet. Our most recent visit was for our beloved 3 1/2 year old chocolate Labrador, Brown Bear. He was very suddenly extremely ill & they were so caring and compassionate about our situation. The doctor would even call us frequently to check up on our boy, Brown Bear. The whole staff also made him feel very comfortable & showed him a lot of attention (which he loved!). I would definitely recommend Brodhead Animal Hospital to anyone who is looking for a new vet. Unfortunately, our sweet Brown Bear passed away from cancer and they were so thoughtful about it that they even sent us a sympathy card signed by the entire staff, including Dr. Van Way. I will have to disagree with all reviews. I took my 15 year old cocker spaniel last week and was told there was no hope for him. They made me feel like I didn't take care of Tyson and I should put him down . I brought him to Brodhead clinic 3 times this year because the facility is very close to my house, but NEVER again. We take our dogs to Crago in Boardman because they care about pets and they REMEMBER them. I will never bring another one of my pets to Brodhead. They say they care, but ALL they care about is making a dollar. It is sad. We took tyson to Crago today and he is still kicking. Read Less

We had to put our cat to sleep yesterday. It is so very heart breaking experience to have to go through. The vet technician Taylor was fabulous. You can tell she truly cares. This vet goes above and beyond the call of duty. In fact, you can tell that caring for our pets is never a duty but a calling. The staff is very friendly and supportive, the clinic is clean and cheerful looking, and the overall care is done expertly. We took our "Holly" to Dr. Van Way for another opinion. Holly's health was declining. Dr. Van Way and her staff went above and beyond for our Holly. Dr. Van Way's accurate diagnosis and treatment enabled Holly to rebound and become the golden retriever she was meant to be. A big "Thank You" to Dr. Van Way and her staff !!! I have had great experiences with Brodhead Animal Hospital.  I called this AM with a cat emergency.  Even though they were booked solid, they took me in and stayed WAY over their ordinary Saturday quitting time.  The vet is a personable lady who takes the time to thoroughly explain what's going on and what treatment I need to give.  Mike H., I have to respectfully disagree with you, but no way does she spend time BSing in the break room.  I seriously doubt that she takes a break all day!  I also know that her work doesn't end when she leaves the clinic.  She does a lot of volunteer work helping to arrange care for animals who have been through catastrophic events like house fires, etc.  This clinic is clean and staffed by friendly, caring people who genuinely care about our pets. I've been to Brodhead Animal Hospital on a couple of occasions and while the staff is friendly and nice and the establishment is clean, this isn't a vet for anything other than routine pet maintenance. My first experience with them was when I adopted my third cat and he needed a post-adoption check up and rabies vaccination. The female doctor I saw was very nice, thorough and she mentioned how she volunteered her services at the shelter I got my cat from. It was a nice experience despite the difficulty getting an appointment within their business hours. Unfortunately my newest encounter with them made me decide to switch vets. My cat experienced a medical emergency and I called their office at 4:00pm on a weekday. I reached a younger-sounding receptionist and told her I had an emergency for a cat that was seen there and her response was "Um, we close at 4:30" and that was that. So I took my cat to the emergency vet and he was admitted as a critical case.  Their hours resemble a Mon-Fri 9-5 office and are just not conducive to real life or for people who have jobs. Based on my experience this vet is really only good for check-ups, vaccinations or other routine visits, I don't recommend them for emergencies or any other pet-care concerns because you cannot get a last-minute appointment. I've since switched my cat to another local vet and I won't go back. Read Less

they try to take complete advatage of you, they try to charge you more than they told you the first and they will do extra little things to charge you more without letting you know. I took my dog there to get bloodwork and when they brought him back they told me that the bill was going to be higher because they clipped his nails and cleaned his ears. I take care of my dogs nails and ears so there was no reason for the vet to touch them. COMPLETE RIPOFF!!!!! Read Less

I can not say enough about bringing my two bull mastiffs here and the care that they provide! Our dogs are like our children to us and I am very comfortable with the level of care that brodhead animal hospital has provided. Very attentive, they spend the time explaning everthing in detail with you. You can call any time to check on your dog. After going to several local vets I am so happy that I found them and tried them out. I highly recommend them to any animal lover. It is very clean and neat. A brand new facility .
