After moving to the area, I was happy to see the positive reviews, which I notice are specifically referring to Dr. McMurtrie, who I did not have the pleasure to meet.I saw Dr Diamant several times over a few months based on recurrent allergies in my dog. On the first visit, I ordered the daily antihistamine that my dog had been on for about a year. The monthly supply was $105 here vs. $35 at my previous vet. I understand price fluctuations but this was excessive, no? After raising concern and asking them to check to be sure, I was told that there was no mistake and that was the cost (of course I refused to purchase there and bought the exact same meds at my previous vet for $35). The next time I came in I asked the financial manager at the front desk to look into this for me and after about 10 minutes he realized that there was a mistake in coding in his computer which reflected the wrong price.I found the service here to be strangely condescending and found myself acting defensively upon some of their advice. As if I had something to do with the recurrent skin infections related to allergies. When I was chastised about needing to use Prednisone again to manage the skin condition (Dr. Diamant said she wouldn't use that on her own dog) I decided to seek the help of a veterinary dermatology specialist. After calling me to review the notes they received from the U of Penn dermatologist at VSEC (a very well respected facility), I was completely shocked, dismayed and offended by the lecture I received from this Dr., who is a fairly recent graduate (2011). To quote, exactly, she said "We do not support the medication your dog was prescribed. I don't want to make you feel guilty however this medication will give your dog cancer". I AM NOT EXAGGERATING, these were the exact words, uttered a few times so as to emphasize their disapproval. Wow.I understand that all medications have side effects, and I had done some of my own layman research, as well as spoken to several other vets who had had positive experiences with this medication (which by the way has managed her allergies effectively for 6+ months as of now). I would have appreciated some educated consultation WITHOUT judgement and which would have demonstrated a higher level of professionalism and maturity. As a responsible pet owner, I pray that I have made the right choice in the benefit/side effect ratio, and I respect the opinion of professionals. However, I have decided to find another vet who is respectful to me (and my money by the way) and my pet in offering educated and not judgemental advice. Read Less
