My rating for the Steinbach Veterinary Practice would be ‘zero’ stars if that were possible! Two of the veterinarians I liked at that practice have left, and it now is obvious as to why. The veterinary practices I previously used were excellent; they exhibited compassion, strong customer service, and very professional follow-ups. I recently relocated and was referred to the Steinbach practice. Sadly, they have none of the these qualities. On Steinbach’s recommendation I delayed my dog’s dental cleaning from December 2020 to February 2021. My dog’s health has always been my highest priority. When her gums seemed discolored, a teeth cleaning was suggested but I was told "it could wait for our 20% off deal in February.” During the cleaning procedure, without any call to me, 14 of my dog's teeth were removed! When I reacted with horror, the doctor’s response was, “Maybe we need to change our policies”. If that means they should call the owner before extracting almost all of the animal’s teeth, yes, that should be a routine practice.
When my dog was brought in for the procedure, Steinbach’s office was specifically asked to call me, first by me, prior to the cleaning and then, by my boyfriend when he brought my dog to the practice for the procedure. While I did receive a call, it was in regard to bloodwork and EKG (Not the dental procedure). In spite of many calls to the office, no one returned my requests to know as to why such drastic measures were taken without my permission. Each of the four (4) times I called to speak to the doctor, or talk to Dr. King who heads the practice, my call was rudely terminated. On top of all this, they decided not to honor the 20% discount “due to Covid”. The office staff couldn’t help me with the information about that falsehood or about why I was overcharged on the invoice. I have since learned about Steinbach’s other debacles, one resulting in the death of a beloved pet due to excessive anesthesia, another resulting in the loss of a dog’s kidney. My recommendation, if you love your pet, as I love my dog, find another veterinarian!

This is my first Yelp post. It's the only time I've really felt compelled to do so. Love the vets- so far I've only had great experiences! However, the front desk staff is enough to make me not want to come back! I've had a few weird interaction with them over the years. Either being short or just rude.Today, I called asking for their professional opinion on whether or not I should come in with my dog who was seen by an emergency vet earlier in the week. This emergency vet put my dog on heavy seizure meds and said he'd have to take them forever. I asked Steinbach if I should come in earlier then the 14 days I was told to wait since they know my dog better to get a second opinion. She huffed and said no and to follow that vets advice. I said ok, thank you. And she turned on this "valley girl voice" and said "uh you're welcome" and I said excuse me she laughed and hung up...I hate talking on the phone and my voice tends to go up in pitch. She was clearly mocking me. These people seem to forget that for most of us our pets mean the world to us and we are trying to get them help. I've been so upset the past few days watching my dogs go through a bunch of crap and this is how the person your asking for help reacts?! Last straw for me. I'd rather drive the extra twenty minutes to Metropolitan than deal with their horrible staff.

Horrible. Arrogant & unprofessional vet & office manager I called as emergency visit for an extra which I never received. 5 minutes into the visit Clark Whaitegarth as a matter of factly that coco had cancer and 3 weeks to live. Without skipping a beat he asked me if I wanted to put my dog down. I was in shock. He then talked about chemo treatments, I said not an option, then he proceeded to give me directions for 3 different medications and to pick something up at Cvs....this is all in 10 minutes. Then 4 days later he called to say the dog only has an infection. WHAT! What if I would have put my dog down? Then when I called to speak to the office manager, he told me hell look into,Then quickly said basically nothing to talk about, and that I was rude. He then hung up on me and told me I was rude. When I called back he wouldn't come to the phone. My family went through a weekend of distress. My daughter is due in three weeks

I feel blessed to have a healthy pet so we don't need to go here often. After three years I think they *may* have finally decided to start calling my dog by his correct name. Time will tell. The clinic is so busy our appointments seem rushed and I feel more time needs to be spent on the exams.
We will continue to board here, only as needed, as well as vet care only as needed. (He did come home from boarding the last time with kennel cough, which was an unpleasant experience.)
My dog is getting to be an old man now and to stress him out any more with a new vet seems uncaring. That said, if they can't make the effort to care enough to call him by his correct name, we will make the move.
For these reasons I just can't recommend Steinbach.

I've been going to Steinbach veterinarian, since I was a teenager. Dr. King has taken care of My dog's 4 years. I have a story to tell you. My first Westie ,wish my mom have found. My dog was named Molly and she was precious, Molly thought she was a person not a dog. My husband and I got married late. And Molly was 6 years old and she wasn't acting right so we took her Dr.King. I had talked to dr. King and told her that she wasn't acting right. It took several times for them to finally realize that she was a diabetic. Molly was such a good girl that she did take her insolent and I gave it to her at 7 a.m. in the morning and at 7 p.m. at night. Her treat was a carrot. She took the insolent with no problem. Her treat was a carrot because she let me give insolent. Molly, ended up living for another six and a half years. Dogs usually don't live six and a half years with diabetes, but because of dr. King and his excellent veterinarians Molly was able to have a long life. Molly also had lost a lot of weight. I now have two beautiful dogs and just wanted to tell you that their service is wonderful.

I've had this vet for years. Great staff. May be a bit more expensive than some. Only thing I can't recommend is their kennelling - all 3 of my dogs have gotten sick after picking them up on two separate occasions. I met another man who kennelled his dog at same time who brought his dog back as well for similar illness. They do give meds and exam to help dogs recover. Hasn't happened anywhere else so I don't have anything else to explain the coincidence.

Future plans for your healthy, best friends continued health will be presented for short & long term goals. There are about 4 vet's there and one is as fantastic as the other. Steinbeck is a wonderful and caring veterinarian practice. The cost is moderate but the care and advice is priceless. They have been able to accommodate us for an appointment for our ill pup on short notice too. It would be nice if they offered care for small animals but their service for pups and kitties is 5+ stars.

The staff I encountered in my lasy two visits were very rude and a dry petsonality. The gave a drastic lack of information to me when it came to putting my cay to sleep. The staff never asked me for any updated information on my records so if I did not call steinbach to get some follow up information about my cat they would have never been able to contact me. Adjustment definetly needed on staffs attitudes. Would never recommend this vet to anyone. Will wait to see if I get a response on this review from Mr. King.

Highly recommend this Vet office. Just moved to the area and had no idea where to take my adult cat who became critically ill so suddenly. I am thankful that I took a chance on this place. Dr. Kelly was absolutely wonderful with her bedside manner, intelligence, and compassion for my beloved pet. Unfortunately the diagnosis wasn't good however she made the euthanasia process (my first one) go smoothly. The front staff was also supportive and provided us privacy during such a painful time. I plan to take my other pet here in the future for his medical care. The extended hours they have here as well as being a hospital is a major plus. Thank you again for fitting my pet in so quickly and ending his suffering in the most humane way!

We had a great experience with Steinbach. We adopted a 5 year old dog from a rescue. A couple weeks later, we found a couple blood spots. We realized Kyra was not altered. We contacted the rescue and they advised us to contact Steinbach Veterinary Hospital. They accommodated us and saw Kyra right away. We scheduled an appointment for the spay surgery. On surgery day, the staff was friendly when I dropped Kyra off, and when I picked her up, the doctor was very nice & professional. Taking the time to speak with me post op and answering all my questions. I would definitely use them as my regular vet if they were closer to my home. OH, and Home at Last rescue financially covered all the costs!

We have taken our dogs to Steinbach for over 20 years.We never had a problem except for the past year and half when we boarded our present dog.We had 3 different problems each of the 3 times we boarded her we notified the clinic each time ,this last time we told them ,they notified us by mail that we were no longer welcomed to bring our dog there.Every issue was a viable problem.We called to speak to the owner and he has yet to call us back.We could see if we were being petty but the dog coming home with an infection ,a patch of hair missing and not being notified of her not eating are not small problems.Our dog is 10 years old and is familiar with the kennel and now we need to find another place for her.She did nothing wrong and we were trying to protect her which a good pet owner would do.I think the owner should have had at least the decency to call us back after we left messages since we have been a client for so long.

We have been taking our dog K there for over 9 years. My parents have also used them for both their dogs over 20+ years! We never have trouble getting appointments and the staff are always friendly and the doctors are top-notch. I will say that my dog never sees the same doc, there does seem to be quite a bit of turnover in the practice with the exception of Dr. King. I think their pricing is kind of high, maybe it's the Blue Bell / Ambler area that inflates the price. For an annual checkup with Bordetella we paid around $275. Their waiting room is also very busy

My parents have taken all our animals to Steinbach. The service is wonderful and the staff really care about every animal 100%, going above and beyond for the customers and furry friends. Dr King is who we typically see and he is wonderful. I highly recommend Steinbach to any family that has an animal that needs TLC. The prices are reasonable and not cheap but manageable.

He was so compassionate when my dad had just died days before my cat was diagnosed with kidney disease, and has been taking excellent care of him ever since !

I started taking my dog to Steinbach for grooming and discovered Katie. She is the absolute best groomer I have ever come across and is so patient, kind and caring with my dog who is very afraid of getting her hair cut. Katie always takes her time talking to me about what I want the haircut to look like and I know she takes great care of my pup while I'm gone. It has been such a stress relief to be able to take my dog, who is very difficult to groom, somewhere that I know I can trust that she is being taken care of. Not only that, but Katie always does an amazing job with my dogs haircut! I highly recommend taking your dog here to be groomed.

Hands down the best veterinary staff I have ever had the pleasure to work with. We were hand rearing newborn kittens because their mom was too ill to take care of them and they started to get very sick. We tried to bring them to a vet specialist in the area who told us they couldn't see them because they were immune deficient and to come back when they weren't breathing. We decided to get a second opinion here and I'm so glad we did! The staff helped us understand what needed to be done to keep them alive and went above and beyond to teach us how to be good foster parents. We now have two perfectly healthy 4 month old kittens who just went to their new forever home all thanks to the amazing staff at Steinbach! We couldn't thank you enough for helping us save their little lives!

I have taken both of my dogs here for several years, for both veterinary care and boarding. The staff is phenomenal! When my German Shepherd was hospitalized with a sudden and extreme case of pneumonia, they cared for him as if he were their own pet, including daily calls from the veterinarians to give me updates on his progress. Even when there was no news, they called to let us know he was doing well, how much he ate, etc. Dr. King made himself available anytime we had questions and was an encyclopedia of knowledge. When my Shepherd left Steinbach - feeling much better, thank goodness - he was sent home with hugs, cuddles, and well wishes from the staff. From the positive and helpful attitude of the staff, to the knowledgeable and caring treatment that ill pets receive, Steinbach Vet gets five stars all around!

The front desk, the techs, not only are they wonderful on the phone, but they are wonderful with my animals. All of the doctors genuinely care about all animals that come through the door. My husband and I had 2 cats and and have 2 dogs. When my cat Phoenix passed away last August 2014, as painful as the whole ordeal was, I knew my kitty was in the best hands. Dr. LuNunziata was the best doc I could of asked for. There was not much we could do for my Phoenix, but Dr. L went above and beyond for her and couldn't have been more grateful. My animals have seen most of the docs there and they all have treated my babies like they were the only animals in the practice. I have never felt rushed no matter how busy they were. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of care you receive. Although the waiting room may be packed at times, it's because they are some of the best vets around. They are well worth the wait and the care you will receive there. If you bring you animals here they are in very good hands! Thanks Steinbach Vet for keeping my family members happy and healthy!

The front desk, the techs, not only are they wonderful on the phone, but they are wonderful with my animals. All of the doctors genuinely care about all animals that come through the door. My husband and I had 2 cats and and have 2 dogs. When my cat Phoenix passed away last August 2014, as painful as the whole ordeal was, I knew my kitty was in the best hands. Dr. LuNunziata was the best doc I could of asked for. There was not much we could do for my Phoenix, but Dr. L went above and beyond for her and couldn't have been more grateful. Not only was he able to make a spot-on diagnosis of my very sick cat after another animal hospital had completely overlooked the problem, he also consulted with a veterinary oncologist just to make sure there were no operative options being overlooked. Just had a wonderful experience with an emergency situation for our dog. Everyone at Steinbach's was terrific from the receptionists to the vet's that we saw. She got loving care from the first visit on. Dr. Lane was clearly a wonderful surgeon since our dog made a speedy and problem free recovery. We were very pleased with the quality of care she received.

Just want to say how I've missed taking my pets to Steinbachs place...my dad took all of our pets there and knew Dr. King personally....(he was a great judge of character), and i always loved going along with him just to see and pet all the animals that we waiting to see him...lol...i liked to try to calm them down and pet them, even the growling ones i was told not to touch!! A man with a heart for animals, a place of safety for many, many animals that are tossed aside for numerous reasons...and caring loving people to give them kisses and attention. I am 53 now and still want to rescue every animal that that has been hurt and abandoned through no fault of their own... if i could just help them all... <3

My wife and I have been taking our dogs here for boarding/ care for close to 15 years now and have never had ANY issues besides maybe our dogs having diarrhea from being stressed due to being in a new environment or some weight loss due to being so excited about being around other dogs (they are usually pretty docile at home but get very excited when they see other dogs). Unfortunately there is a new strain of kennel cough that has hit a plethora of boarding facilities around the area. Therefore make sure you are keeping your dog up-to-date on vaccines and limiting their exposure to other dogs in dog parks, etc. If you must board your dog anywhere and it happens to get kennel cough its literally like a human having a cold. Its not life threatening whatsoever, however, just like a human getting sick it requires a doctor's [Vet] visit. Our babies have had kennel cough before and it took literally 5-7 days for them to return back to their normal self.****Oh and Also to the person below who is freaking out about their dog having kennel cough, relax, its not serious. Do some research before you spew out a blithering spew of words about something you clearly know nothing about. /calmdown

DO NOT trust them to board your pet! Our happy, healthy one year old puppy spent one week there. She is 13 lbs lighter and severely ill with kennel cough. She looks like a malnourished, mistreated dog and not our happy, healthy beautiful pup. I'm beyond upset with guilt for trusting them to watch her. They had our contact info and never called us to tell us anything was wrong. I even called to extend her stay for one day, and no comment that she was sick or not eating. How can they be in business?

Immaculate facility. Knowledgeable vets and staff. They know how to do proper placement for hip and elbow OFA clearances which I travel 3 hours each way for. To the nitwit who is blaming the office for their puppy's illness, I agree with the other poster. That came from where the puppy originally lived, NOT from the vet's office. Perhaps the puppy was too young to have a parvo vaccine ( I have vaccinations done at 8 weeks of age and puppies go home at 9 weeks of age) for my once a year litter raised in my home! I think that rating is defamatory, accusatory and if the office wanted to could sue for slander. They have too much class to do probably do that in my opinion. The poster has NO proof what and where the dog got whatever it had from, no necropsy report, NOTHING. Shame on you for pinning it on this vet! Their office shines from cleanliness!

My rating for the Steinbach Veterinary Practice would be ‘zero’ stars if that were possible! Two of the veterinarians I liked at that practice have left, and it now is obvious as to why. The veterinary practices I previously used were excellent; they exhibited compassion, strong customer service, and very professional follow-ups. I recently relocated and was referred to the Steinbach practice. Sadly, they have none of the these qualities. On Steinbach’s recommendation I delayed my dog’s dental cleaning from December 2020 to February 2021. My dog’s health has always been my highest priority. When her gums seemed discolored, a teeth cleaning was suggested but I was told "it could wait for our 20% off deal in February.” During the cleaning procedure, without any call to me, 14 of my dog's teeth were removed! When I reacted with horror, the doctor’s response was, “Maybe we need to change our policies”. If that means they should call the owner before extracting almost all of the animal’s teeth, yes, that should be a routine practice.
When my dog was brought in for the procedure, Steinbach’s office was specifically asked to call me, first by me, prior to the cleaning and then, by my boyfriend when he brought my dog to the practice for the procedure. While I did receive a call, it was in regard to bloodwork and EKG (Not the dental procedure). In spite of many calls to the office, no one returned my requests to know as to why such drastic measures were taken without my permission. Each of the four (4) times I called to speak to the doctor, or talk to Dr. King who heads the practice, my call was rudely terminated. On top of all this, they decided not to honor the 20% discount “due to Covid”. The office staff couldn’t help me with the information about that falsehood or about why I was overcharged on the invoice. I have since learned about Steinbach’s other debacles, one resulting in the death of a beloved pet due to excessive anesthesia, another resulting in the loss of a dog’s kidney. My recommendation, if you love your pet, as I love my dog, find another veterinarian!

This is my first Yelp post. It's the only time I've really felt compelled to do so. Love the vets- so far I've only had great experiences! However, the front desk staff is enough to make me not want to come back! I've had a few weird interaction with them over the years. Either being short or just rude.Today, I called asking for their professional opinion on whether or not I should come in with my dog who was seen by an emergency vet earlier in the week. This emergency vet put my dog on heavy seizure meds and said he'd have to take them forever. I asked Steinbach if I should come in earlier then the 14 days I was told to wait since they know my dog better to get a second opinion. She huffed and said no and to follow that vets advice. I said ok, thank you. And she turned on this "valley girl voice" and said "uh you're welcome" and I said excuse me she laughed and hung up...I hate talking on the phone and my voice tends to go up in pitch. She was clearly mocking me. These people seem to forget that for most of us our pets mean the world to us and we are trying to get them help. I've been so upset the past few days watching my dogs go through a bunch of crap and this is how the person your asking for help reacts?! Last straw for me. I'd rather drive the extra twenty minutes to Metropolitan than deal with their horrible staff.

Arrogant & unprofessional vet & office manager I called as emergency visit for an extra which I never received. 5 minutes into the visit Clark Whaitegarth as a matter of factly that coco had cancer and 3 weeks to live. Without skipping a beat he asked me if I wanted to put my dog down. I was in shock. He then talked about chemo treatments, I said not an option, then he proceeded to give me directions for 3 different medications and to pick something up at Cvs....this is all in 10 minutes. Then 4 days later he called to say the dog only has an infection. WHAT! What if I would have put my dog down? Then when I called to speak to the office manager, he told me hell look into,Then quickly said basically nothing to talk about, and that I was rude. He then hung up on me and told me I was rude. When I called back he wouldn't come to the phone. My family went through a weekend of distress. My daughter is due in three weeks

I feel blessed to have a healthy pet so we don't need to go here often. After three years I think they *may* have finally decided to start calling my dog by his correct name. Time will tell. The clinic is so busy our appointments seem rushed and I feel more time needs to be spent on the exams.
We will continue to board here, only as needed, as well as vet care only as needed. (He did come home from boarding the last time with kennel cough, which was an unpleasant experience.)
My dog is getting to be an old man now and to stress him out any more with a new vet seems uncaring. That said, if they can't make the effort to care enough to call him by his correct name, we will make the move.
For these reasons I just can't recommend Steinbach.

I've been going to Steinbach veterinarian, since I was a teenager. Dr. King has taken care of My dog's 4 years. I have a story to tell you. My first Westie ,wish my mom have found. My dog was named Molly and she was precious, Molly thought she was a person not a dog. My husband and I got married late. And Molly was 6 years old and she wasn't acting right so we took her Dr.King. I had talked to dr. King and told her that she wasn't acting right. It took several times for them to finally realize that she was a diabetic. Molly was such a good girl that she did take her insolent and I gave it to her at 7 a.m. in the morning and at 7 p.m. at night. Her treat was a carrot. She took the insolent with no problem. Her treat was a carrot because she let me give insolent. Molly, ended up living for another six and a half years. Dogs usually don't live six and a half years with diabetes, but because of dr. King and his excellent veterinarians Molly was able to have a long life. Molly also had lost a lot of weight. I now have two beautiful dogs and just wanted to tell you that their service is wonderful.

I've had this vet for years. Great staff. May be a bit more expensive than some. Only thing I can't recommend is their kennelling - all 3 of my dogs have gotten sick after picking them up on two separate occasions. I met another man who kennelled his dog at same time who brought his dog back as well for similar illness. They do give meds and exam to help dogs recover. Hasn't happened anywhere else so I don't have anything else to explain the coincidence.

The staff never asked me for any updated information on my records so if I did not call steinbach to get some follow up information about my cat they would have never been able to contact me. Adjustment definetly needed on staffs attitudes. Would never recommend this vet to anyone. Will wait to see if I get a response on this review from Mr. King.

Highly recommend this Vet office. Just moved to the area and had no idea where to take my adult cat who became critically ill so suddenly. I am thankful that I took a chance on this place. Dr. Kelly was absolutely wonderful with her bedside manner, intelligence, and compassion for my beloved pet. Unfortunately the diagnosis wasn't good however she made the euthanasia process (my first one) go smoothly. The front staff was also supportive and provided us privacy during such a painful time. I plan to take my other pet here in the future for his medical care. The extended hours they have here as well as being a hospital is a major plus. Thank you again for fitting my pet in so quickly and ending his suffering in the most humane way!

We had a great experience with Steinbach. We adopted a 5 year old dog from a rescue. A couple weeks later, we found a couple blood spots. We realized Kyra was not altered. We contacted the rescue and they advised us to contact Steinbach Veterinary Hospital. They accommodated us and saw Kyra right away. We scheduled an appointment for the spay surgery. On surgery day, the staff was friendly when I dropped Kyra off, and when I picked her up, the doctor was very nice & professional. Taking the time to speak with me post op and answering all my questions. I would definitely use them as my regular vet if they were closer to my home. OH, and Home at Last rescue financially covered all the costs!

We have taken our dogs to Steinbach for over 20 years.We never had a problem except for the past year and half when we boarded our present dog.We had 3 different problems each of the 3 times we boarded her we notified the clinic each time ,this last time we told them ,they notified us by mail that we were no longer welcomed to bring our dog there.Every issue was a viable problem.We called to speak to the owner and he has yet to call us back.We could see if we were being petty but the dog coming home with an infection ,a patch of hair missing and not being notified of her not eating are not small problems.Our dog is 10 years old and is familiar with the kennel and now we need to find another place for her.She did nothing wrong and we were trying to protect her which a good pet owner would do.I think the owner should have had at least the decency to call us back after we left messages since we have been a client for so long.

We have been taking our dog K there for over 9 years. My parents have also used them for both their dogs over 20+ years! We never have trouble getting appointments and the staff are always friendly and the doctors are top-notch. I will say that my dog never sees the same doc, there does seem to be quite a bit of turnover in the practice with the exception of Dr. King. I think their pricing is kind of high, maybe it's the Blue Bell / Ambler area that inflates the price. For an annual checkup with Bordetella we paid around $275. Their waiting room is also very busy

Dr King is who we typically see and he is wonderful. I highly recommend Steinbach to any family that has an animal that needs TLC. The prices are reasonable and not cheap but manageable.

I started taking my dog to Steinbach for grooming and discovered Katie. She is the absolute best groomer I have ever come across and is so patient, kind and caring with my dog who is very afraid of getting her hair cut. Katie always takes her time talking to me about what I want the haircut to look like and I know she takes great care of my pup while I'm gone. It has been such a stress relief to be able to take my dog, who is very difficult to groom, somewhere that I know I can trust that she is being taken care of. Not only that, but Katie always does an amazing job with my dogs haircut! I highly recommend taking your dog here to be groomed.

Hands down the best veterinary staff I have ever had the pleasure to work with. We were hand rearing newborn kittens because their mom was too ill to take care of them and they started to get very sick. We tried to bring them to a vet specialist in the area who told us they couldn't see them because they were immune deficient and to come back when they weren't breathing. We decided to get a second opinion here and I'm so glad we did! The staff helped us understand what needed to be done to keep them alive and went above and beyond to teach us how to be good foster parents. We now have two perfectly healthy 4 month old kittens who just went to their new forever home all thanks to the amazing staff at Steinbach! We couldn't thank you enough for helping us save their little lives!

This has been my family vet for quite sometime. It is cozy there and feels like home. They are friendly and knowledge and saved the life of one of my cats years ago and he is still going.

I have taken both of my dogs here for several years, for both veterinary care and boarding. The staff is phenomenal! When my German Shepherd was hospitalized with a sudden and extreme case of pneumonia, they cared for him as if he were their own pet, including daily calls from the veterinarians to give me updates on his progress. Even when there was no news, they called to let us know he was doing well, how much he ate, etc. Dr. King made himself available anytime we had questions and was an encyclopedia of knowledge. When my Shepherd left Steinbach - feeling much better, thank goodness - he was sent home with hugs, cuddles, and well wishes from the staff. From the positive and helpful attitude of the staff, to the knowledgeable and caring treatment that ill pets receive, Steinbach Vet gets five stars all around!

We have been taking all of our animals here for the past 9 years...so where do I start. All of the staff are so caring and amazing. The front desk, the techs, not only are they wonderful on the phone, but they are wonderful with my animals. All of the doctors genuinely care about all animals that come through the door. My husband and I had 2 cats and and have 2 dogs. When my cat Phoenix passed away last August 2014, as painful as the whole ordeal was, I knew my kitty was in the best hands. Dr. LuNunziata was the best doc I could of asked for. There was not much we could do for my Phoenix, but Dr. L went above and beyond for her and couldn't have been more grateful. My animals have seen most of the docs there and they all have treated my babies like they were the only animals in the practice. I have never felt rushed no matter how busy they were. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of care you receive. Although the waiting room may be packed at times, it's because they are some of the best vets around. They are well worth the wait and the care you will receive there. If you bring you animals here they are in very good hands! Thanks Steinbach Vet for keeping my family members happy and healthy!

She got loving care from the first visit on. Dr. Lane was clearly a wonderful surgeon since our dog made a speedy and problem free recovery. We were very pleased with the quality of care she received.

Just want to say how I've missed taking my pets to Steinbachs place...my dad took all of our pets there and knew Dr. King personally....(he was a great judge of character), and i always loved going along with him just to see and pet all the animals that we waiting to see him...lol...i liked to try to calm them down and pet them, even the growling ones i was told not to touch!! A man with a heart for animals, a place of safety for many, many animals that are tossed aside for numerous reasons...and caring loving people to give them kisses and attention. I am 53 now and still want to rescue every animal that that has been hurt and abandoned through no fault of their own... if i could just help them all... <3

My wife and I have been taking our dogs here for boarding/ care for close to 15 years now and have never had ANY issues besides maybe our dogs having diarrhea from being stressed due to being in a new environment or some weight loss due to being so excited about being around other dogs (they are usually pretty docile at home but get very excited when they see other dogs). Unfortunately there is a new strain of kennel cough that has hit a plethora of boarding facilities around the area. Therefore make sure you are keeping your dog up-to-date on vaccines and limiting their exposure to other dogs in dog parks, etc. If you must board your dog anywhere and it happens to get kennel cough its literally like a human having a cold. Its not life threatening whatsoever, however, just like a human getting sick it requires a doctor's [Vet] visit. Our babies have had kennel cough before and it took literally 5-7 days for them to return back to their normal self.****Oh and Also to the person below who is freaking out about their dog having kennel cough, relax, its not serious. Do some research before you spew out a blithering spew of words about something you clearly know nothing about. /calmdown

She looks like a malnourished, mistreated dog and not our happy, healthy beautiful pup. I'm beyond upset with guilt for trusting them to watch her. They had our contact info and never called us to tell us anything was wrong. I even called to extend her stay for one day, and no comment that she was sick or not eating. How can they be in business?

Immaculate facility. Knowledgeable vets and staff. They know how to do proper placement for hip and elbow OFA clearances which I travel 3 hours each way for. To the nitwit who is blaming the office for their puppy's illness, I agree with the other poster. That came from where the puppy originally lived, NOT from the vet's office. Perhaps the puppy was too young to have a parvo vaccine ( I have vaccinations done at 8 weeks of age and puppies go home at 9 weeks of age) for my once a year litter raised in my home! I think that rating is defamatory, accusatory and if the office wanted to could sue for slander. They have too much class to do probably do that in my opinion. The poster has NO proof what and where the dog got whatever it had from, no necropsy report, NOTHING. Shame on you for pinning it on this vet! Their office shines from cleanliness!

We just started using Steinbach. We loved our previous vet, but think Steinbach will be just as good.The premises remind me of an old country doctor's operations. It's very cool.The reception and office staff are professional and engaging. Our new Vet, Dr. Heller, is very engaging with our dogs and handled them very well.Steinbach is a great new choice for us.
