I’ve been coming here for years. They’ve taken care of Cole, Lacy & my best friend Harley. Everything is always perfect. Even the pet owners. Everyone is so friendly, striking up conversation right when you walk in the door. It’s so homey in there. Rebecca & I talked for an hour when I came in with my new puppy, Harper. Nobody ever gives you that kind of time. Usually you feel rushed at other places. But here, the girls treat you like family. They take their time with you & answer all your questions. The staff went above and beyond for me, rescheduling appointments and fitting me in sooner that I had expected. They were compassionate to the fact that I had a very stressed out cat and did everything they could to look after him and give him the care he needed. Even the day after his appointment he had some symptoms so I called and they were immediately responsive and made sure he was okay and recovering correctly. Their prices are extremely reasonable, even X-rays and medications I've found to be affordable. The veterinarians are also understanding if you are on a budget and creating a treatment plan that works for you and your pet. I took an injured stray cat I named Lucky to Valley Vet on 2/14/17 in hopes of helping him. Unfortunately I found out that he was positive for Feline Leukemia. Dr. Bartus was compassionate yet honest about what she thought would be best for Lucky. Even after she explained why it was best to put him down she allowed me time to ask questions about "what if" we would try to treat him. She left me alone with Lucky while she put a treatment proposal together. When she returned she said "did you have a good cry?" How did she know? She was willing to do whatever I wanted without making me feel as though my decision was wrong. After discussing the situation with my mother who had accompanied me we decided to put Lucky to sleep!Dr. Bartus and her staff were wonderful and compassionate during the entire visit I can't thank them enough!! The care that the staff at Valley Vet has given to my cats has been superb. They have been very caring, listen well and treat my cats tenderly. They always explain what is going on and give options for treatment when available. My cats actually purr when handled by the staff even during exams! I love the added convenience of reminder appointments to my cell phone and email. Most of all I have found them to be extremely sensitive and caring when you have to make the hard decision to end the life of a beloved pet. They not only are with you but give you alone time with the pet and then on top of that send you a sympathy card with a picture of the pet. I love this place unfortunately us discovering this vet was not a good time since it was to get our dog Pudge put down, but we've been going back ever since with our other animals. At first I was going to to another vet for whatever reason with my Schnauzer Merribell and one time she wouldn't eat and was constantly crying and couldn't keep still, so we called my vet at the time and she NEVER answered her phone so we left numerous messages and she NEVER called us back in response to ANY of them, so my dad suggested Valley Veterinary Services since we took Pudge there. So we called and they answered and we set up an appointment asap. When we contacted Merribell's now former vet(who never answered or respond to messages) she was extremely rude and angry that we decided to switch vets..... Which to me makes no sense. If you want to keep people you should care about customers and have better service. So I took Merri here, to Valley Veterinary Services and they had great service, great staff, and the prices are great to me at least. I've never had to pay over $300 and I've had to have my dog get X-ray's and medications. It's a great place and they're very understanding. I would suggest this place to anyone.Read Less

Valley Veterinary Service with their exceptional Dr Crum and staff gave great medical attention to my cat Casey. He was dehydrated from throwing up and having diarrhea. His kidneys and liver were also failing. Their great compassion along with their medical expertise nursed Casey back. They kept in touch with me to make sure everything was improving. They had me bring Casey in for second round of fluids with appetite enhancers. It's been a month now, Casey is gaining weight, eating and drinking, grooming himself and is back to his old self. The entire staff is extremely kind and professional. They treated my dog as if he were one of their own. They seemed to genuinely care about his well being and stayed in contact with us throughout the whole experience. It was very obvious that they care about the pets they see. I have dealt with Dr. Bartus, Dr. Nelson and to a lesser extent Dr. Crum since 1993. You could not ask for more caring and thorough doctors. No matter how stupid a question I may have asked they were more than eager to answer that or any other question. They never hesitated to squeeze in my dog if I thought it was an emergency. I had an emergency Memorial Day weekend that ended up with me having to put my best friend down. I wish it could have been done by one of Jaspers doctors at ValleyVet but out of necessity it couldn't wait until Tuesday. I phoned ValleyVet on a Saturday gave a brief explanation of what transpired Friday night and I would say in less than 5 minutes Dr. Nelson returned my call. We went over what had happened and that I wanted to have Jasper cremated but being Memorial Day weekend I couldn't find anybody open. He gave me EternityPets number and then said if by chance they're not open and you still want to have Jasper cremated I could have taken him over to ValleyVet and put in their freezer. He called back an hour or so later to make sure everything was taken care of. I always bragged what great doctors I take my pet to and this just goes to prove that. This vet has been just about heartless almost everytime i have been there. One time refused to see our kitten who was having problems breathing because we didnt have the money up front. When we had been there several times before with our other pets and had everything on file. Had to wait for someone to bring the credit card. They didnt care, they wanted their money. Have called other times with issues, and they dont seem to care. Another vet has saved my cats life, when this vet just thought i had to switch her food. The only time I will ever take an animal to this vet, is when it has already passed away and they get rid of the body. Even then, they probably do that wrong. Read Less
