DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!! I came upon a cat yesterday that was obviously injured but very affectionate. The cats left ear was injured and right front paw was injured, otherwise he was well nourished and extremely affection. I took the cat to Wright since it was literally right down the street and I was worried that the cat would run. We brought the cat in and they said they would check the cat out and that we could call today and see how the cat was doing. I just got off the phone only to find out that they EUTHANIZED the cat. Didn't even bother to call us. These people are monsters and obviously do not actually care about animals. They claim the cat was FIV positive, however FIV cats are still adoptable and deserve to live like any other cat. Disgusting. Dr. Speak is Wonderful, Compassionate and Thorough!! I took my calico cat, Honey, to Wright Vet for a sick visit. We got a same-day appt and there was no waiting once we arrived. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Dr. Speak really took her time examining my cat and explaining Honey's diagnosis. Honey started feeling better within hours of her appt. I took my pug dog Layla here for her first visit when we rescued her. Upon greeting the vet in the exam room she immediately appeared to be repulsed by having to touch our dog. She advised that we give her every vaccine available, start her on their prescription diet and a quote of $3200 for dental work!! I had already explained to her that our dog had received all her vaccines at the shelter and I didn't feel comfortable over dosing her with more "just to be safe" especially from a vet who again...appeared repulsed by even having to touch my dog. I've found a much better vet since then. It's just down the road....they don't push vaccines, have a care plan that covers that dental work and all the vets love to hold my little Layla Read Less

I have been taking animals here for the past 20 years and the service really all depends on the vet you are going to see. The problem is I can never establish a vet because they always leave to start their own practices or work somewhere else. My one cat is overweight and the one vet (who isn't there anymore) wanted to prescribe me special diet food for $80 a bag. The next vet told me to just feed him whatever but less of it, the third vet said to feed a high protein low carb diet. My other cat has seizures and I saw a vet that was there for a few years but he moved to south Jersey. Dr. Breaux is a fantastic doctor and treats my cats great but I'm just waiting for her to leave to and I'll have to start all over. My 3 year old kitty had excessive drooling so I took her in. Turns out she has a very common occurrence in cats, tooth resorption. I'm a dental hygienist myself so I knew I couldn't just let this condition go. For a low end estimate for dental cleaning, extraction and xrays they told me $1300. But it could go up to $2000... that's absolutely ridiculous. I like this clinic, it's very clean and they are very thorough but they are always trying to sell you product and their fees are always so expensive. I'm always nervous checking out to what my total will be for the check up. They also were gonna charge me around $700 for a spay.... i took my kitty to peaceable kingdom for $75 for the procedure. We have taken our dogs here for 7 years.  Although I have no complaints about the overall care, they are always trying to upsell additional services and procedures that your pet really doesn't need.  I was told that my dog had a very severe heart murmur and needed a battery of tests that would cost approximately $1200.00.  I declined since she seemed fine.  This same vet also told me that she needed a dental ASAP which would cost $2500.00 because of the anesthesia risk with the heart murmur.  The next time I visited the vet I was told there was no heart murmur and her teeth looked okay.  Even in an emergency situation you need to have cash up front for treatment.  They will not let you set up a payment plan and will not treat your pet until you pay the estimated fee.  They are VERY expensive.  You can't even get a routine vaccine here without spending $200.  I've been getting vaccines at Petco's clinic which is very reasonably priced.  I understand that they are in business to make money, but I'll be shopping for a more reasonably priced vet. I had an appointment for my dog, Tessa, to get a regular check up, and the day of the appointment my other dog, Jimmy, broke a toenail badly. The staff allowed me to change the appointment and bring in Jimmy instead with no problems. Dr. Breaux was very thorough and compassionate with how much a broken toenail can hurt. She took my concerns seriously and they were able to fix him up without causing him more pain. He left with his tail wagging!!! Read Less

I was with wrights for years until 3 years ago. My cat was old and unfortunately it was time to end her suffering. She was very sick when we woke up and called to have her put down that day and you had the nerve to tell us we had to pay $150 emergency fee to get her in that day. We never went back! From what I have been told by other pet owners, it's a little more expensive than some other places, but it is a fairly new facility with a great staff with differing expertise. My iguana Larry needed some surgery to remove an abscess from his leg. Dr. Breaux and the staff took great care of him in spite of Larry's bad behavior. He was so angry and aggressive toward them, but they put his needs first. I know he was a difficult patient for the week he was there. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr Wright and his team. My 10 month old puppy became ill and they did everything in their power and above to help figure out what was wrong. In the end it was the worst possible thing and my baby pup lost his battle with cancer on Friday. The team at Wrights were compassionate, caring and treated my boy like he were their own - above and beyond in the level of care. And they allowed me to visit and walk him outside of visiting hours when he was hospitalized.  I can't recommend them high enough. Dr Wright reached out to every specialist on the East Coast for additional ideas and guidance too to help figure out what was wrong. I took our newly adopted dog here this morning for a general check up. I scheduled an appointment and was told to bring a stool sample, and that the appointment was $85 because the doctor spends 45 minutes with us. We had to wait 30 minutes after my appointment for Dr. Wright to see us, then he sped through the check up spending 25 minutes with us before moving on. Upon checking out, they charged me $120 because apparently testing the stool sample was an additional $35 which they conveniently failed to mention when I made the appointment. Read Less

Due to the fact that my vet was on vacation, she recommended this vet center as a fill in during an emergency situation.  Keep in mind this center is 2 hours from my house but I have an "exotic pet" and not all typical vets take care of these types of animals.  The center is immaculately clean - spotless.  The care my pet received was excellent.  I didn't see their prices to be any higher than the vet I normally go to. We rescued a domestic rabbit on a Sunday in our neighborhood that was hopping around for over a month. The poor thing was scared, full of fleas and ticks and hungry. We called the vet, explained the situation and they said we could bring it in. Dr. Goodman and her assistant were dealing with an emergency and still took the time to examine this rabbit, removed the ticks, showed us how to apply the flea medication and wished us luck. They were so understanding and helpful, they waved the exam fee and only charged us for the flea medication and the fecal sample. I can't thank them enough for being so amazing. We had one of our pet bunnies seen here recently after our vet retired and we were looking for a new vet and after this we definitely know we came to the right place. We named him Bugs and we are hoping to find him a good home. If not then I guess he will be joining our other 3 bun buns.Read Less

So, I do not usually write reviews for places, however I feel compelled to share my excellent experience with Wright Veterinary Medical Center, and specifically Dr. Jennifer Boyer. Recently, my dog lost his appetite and I found a large lump on his neck a week later. Terrified, I called my vet (not Wright) and found that they were on vacation for a week. Scrambling, I called Wright on Monday morning asking for an appointment and they were able to fit my dog in the schedule mid-day. The staff, and Dr. Boyer, were extremely courteous, helpful, and totally understanding of me bawling my eyes out while trying to wake my dog from his sedative state after taking samples from the lump in his neck. We were there approximately 2 hours. The next day, Dr. Boyer already had acquired his test results and personally called me to check in on my dog and deliver me the good news - that he only had a bacterial infection (not cancer or something more serious which was not ruled out prior to receiving the results). Additionally, Dr. Boyer emailed me with additional information from what we discussed over the phone. In my opinion, they really went above and beyond to make sure that I received the news as quickly as possible (24 hours later!) I would highly recommend Wright Veterinary Medical Center to all loving pet owners, and I will be switching to them permanently! Read Less

The diverse staff covers many fields of competency from birds and reptiles to mammals from skunks to dogs, bobcats to coyotes. The supporting staff is well-trained and compassionate. All of the staff at Wright is amazing and accommodating! We have two crazy dogs, one who has seizures if she walks through the front door, and the other who wont let the first one out of her sight! Getting physicals and shots can be a challenge, but Dr. Wright makes himself available to do the examines when they are in for boarding. This way, neither dog needs to go into the examine rooms. Boarding at Wright is a pleasure, the dogs are treated like family, since both my dogs are boarders with treatment they interact with the nursing staff, as well as the boarding and grooming staff. Called yesterday @ 8:05 to get an appointment for our dog who looked liked she had an eye infection. Was told the last appointment slot had just been filled but I could bring her in as a walk in if I didn't want to wait for a Monday appointment. The receptionist predicted it could be a short wait or about an hour as they tried to fit me in between appointments. I was there by 8:30 thinking it would be less busy earlier than later. When I got there the receptionist told me they had a 9:30 cancellation and I could come back then or just stay. What she didn't tell me was that if I stayed I would be charged the emergency fee of 151.75 vs 55. When I got home from the appointment and took a look at the itemized bill, I immediately called them back and got the same receptionist. I told her that in the past when we had brought a rabbit in, we were told in the initial phone call that there would be a emergency charge. She said that they don't call it an emergency anymore, now they call it a walk in. I asked to talk with her supervisor who is supposed to call me Monday.....Wrights should be clear to their customers what their policy is. I would at least have tried another vet practice, that I've also used, to see if I could have gotten her in there without an emergency appointment. Read Less

If you are looking for an overpriced animal clinic that tries to sell you on vaccinations that other clinics in the Lehigh Valley don't or that care only about $$ and little to nothing about your pet, than search no more because this will be the clinic for you! You will have the pleasure of feeling like your pet's routine visit is more like a sales call than you will for the well-being of your animal. Even when I asked for them to fax my dog's file, they were going to charge me $10 just to have it faxed to my new vet's office when less than 1 yr ago there was no fee for this!Seriously, there are way better clinics out there!
