My newfie who is now ten years old has been going here since we brought him home at 5 months. Each time he is there he receives the best of care with tons of loving. I have never waited for his appointment and their pricing has always been fair and reasonable. I have dogs all my life and I have to say this is the absolute best veterinarian off ice I have ever dealt with. Highly recommend! Read Less

I call and told them my baby kitten was sick he wasn't breathijng right and he was very weak I told them that we didn't have a car and theyh said they were booked and that night my kitten passed away after 2 and a half hours of crying in pain Read Less

I have always went to the Bridgeville Animal Hospital for all of my pet checkups or vaccinations. The staff are wonderful and the vet is very knowledgeable and thorough. I recently had my papillon pup there and was greeted in such a friendly manner. I knew my pup would be in great hands from the moment we walked in the door. I would highly recommend anyone who has a pet to take them there. My pup received what I feel was the best care possible. Read Less

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. They got us in for a same day "sick or injured pet" appointment, which was great! Very reasonably priced, and they don't try to upsell you like many of the vets I've gone to. I don't need vet services often, but when I do, this is going to be my go to place. Read Less

We brought our 13 year old bichon to Dr. Rubin for a second opinion after having used a nearby animal hospital in Greentree for 13 years. After 5 visits to the previous vet for the same issue, Dr. Rubin did a biopsy and within 3 weeks diagnosed him with cutaneous lymphoma. She was kind, compassionate, and sympathetic. We took him to PVSEC for chemotherapy but weren't seeing significant improvement so stopped the chemo after 6 months and he is now being kept comfortable by Dr. Rubin. She's amazing. Can't recommend her highly enough. Services may be a tad more expensive than the Greentree clinic, but it's worth it to have piece of mind that your pet is in good hands. Read Less

We take both pups here. Have never had a bad experience - we love all the doctors! They are genuine and fair, and they truly care about your fur babies! We recently had a super sick pup and they did everything in their power to help and were honest when they could not do more and recommended us to the next to best care we could've gotten. We have been trying for 3 weeks to get my dog's nails clipped.... they give 1 option.... nobody is that booked. They're horrible with working with someone's schedule. It's a nail trim. Also, they won't let you see an itemized statement of everything you're paying for until AFTER you pay.... we ended up getting charged $30 for a flimsy nylon sleeve for my dog's paw that he never needed... but they make you feel guilty for not buying everything. We recently changed vets from one in Greentree where we had been going for 13 years. After at least 4 to 5 visits in the past year for the same concerns with no resolution, we decided to get a 2nd opinion. We made an appointment with Dr. Rubin, who immediately recognized Max had a serious problem. She suggested a biopsy where it was determined our Max was suffering from cutaneous lymphoma, an uncommon type of cancer.   We lost valuable treatment time with a vet that didn't listen to our concerns and now I'm afraid it may be too late.  Dr Rubin sent a referral to the oncologist at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center. We have an appointment in 2 weeks. I'm so sorry we didn't switch sooner.   She is caring and compassionate and took our concerns seriously.  We are heartbroken but i would definitely recommend Dr. Rubin for anyone looking for a competent and compassionate caretaker for the members of our family who can't speak for themselves. I've been taking my pets here (and to their previous location in Bethel Park) for years. Dr. Rubin and her staff have a family atmosphere, and put the needs of the pets first. Sometimes the wait seems a bit long, but it's because they spend enough time with you to get a full understanding of what's needed... the opposite of those chain clinics that seem to be only interested in volume. Recently took my dog in for a general exam / to be neutered. When I arrived, they had no record I had requested the neutering (which is strange, since it was basically the point of the visit) but stated they had no problem doing an evaluation and prepping for the neutering. While I'm sitting at the front desk waiting for the vet, I watch as the receptionists engage in conversation about their personal lives. When the phone rings, one of them groans, answers the call, immediately says, "Bridgeville Animal Hospital, hold on." And then she returns to her conversation. Probably should have been my red flag. But I was there, took time off work, so... might as well see it through. Vet sees me, seems super nice and treats my dog and I well. Vet is the main reason I'm not giving this one star. He mentions they'll need to do blood work to prep for a neutering, and to expect a call the next day with the results/scheduling for the neutering. I then get whisked away to the front desk where it's all business and how much I owe for the exam and a cost estimate for the neutering. I was super chaffed at the cost estimate, as they included line items for things he *obviously* did not need (a new collar? I brought him in with a collar and a harness), and demonstrated a certain carelessness when they suggested I chip him even though my ownership papers show he was chipped already. The experience leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but again, I felt like I was already so far in, might as well see it through. Fast forward to today, I get the call with the blood test results. I'm talking with someone and realized I missed the call 30 seconds after the VM shows up. I listen to the VM, but it's just saying the bloodwork is fine and there's no mention of a neutering schedule. So I call back. The receptionist answers and asks who called me. I said I don't know, I missed it from the VM. She said, "Well why don't you try listening to it again and call back?" And then hangs up. What. The. Heck. Anyone who has been to this office knows how small they are. How could *they* not know who called me?? Why does that even matter?? As a receptionist isn't your primary job to connect me with whomever I need to? Is it really my job to figure that out for you? Holy cow. I'm done - I don't care about the money I've wasted on this organization at this point. If you're going to treat me and mine like a business transaction - and a poor one at that - I'll take my business somewhere else. Read Less

I had taken my Dixie there for several years and Dr. Aldinger was always so wonderful with my girl. When an emergency came up on a Saturday morning, I called early and took my girl there. We met with Dr. Gimbus, that day, I knew going there that I might have to make the decision. Dr. Gimbus and the staff were wonderful, sympathetic and extremely compassionate to the circumstances. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Rubin and her compassionate staff. I came the them with our very sick pug Roxy and not only did I get a diagnosis, treatment and game plan, Roxy and I received warmth, compassion and genuine concern. I didn't wait long and the bill was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the South Hills area! Read Less

We take 3 dogs to BAH. One has epilepsy, and they treat her so well and give her amazing care. We have a rescue who had some health issues and they made sure she got healthy. Finally, we had a dog who was diagnosed last week with cancer. They hugged us as we cried. They gave her medicine to take at home so that she would be comfortable. On Monday morning, she passed away in her sleep. We brought sweet Clover in so that she could be cremated. They hugged me as I cried. They made a clay paw print as a keepsake. I honestly wish that they treated humans, because they are that amazing. Read Less

Dr. Rubin and her staff are amazing. We started taking our dog Tucker to her at 6 weeks of age. Tucker experienced many issues in his life include knee problems and a thyroid condition. Dr. Rubin was there every step along the way. Her staff is so caring and sympathetic. Two of her vet tech's, Lauren and Dave, would actually come to our house to take care of our boy when we had to be away. We recently lost our good boy after over 11 years as part of the family. Doctor Rubin and her staff are the best. We were lucky enough to find her practice when she was still in Bethel Park and we followed her when she made the move to Bridgeville. She has seen us through very trying and emotional times with the greatest of care and compassion. We would follow her practice anywhere. Read Less
