Staff is great. My sister takes her cat here and they are always very helpful and caring with Tanner. (He hates everyone) I recently have gotten a little dog and took her here to be spayed. These people are very friendly with compassion for both the animal and their humans. Read Less

Dr. Daman and his staff are wonderful! Dr. Daman saved the lives of 2 of my cats. Benny Boo lived to be 23 years old, thanks to a cancer surgery. Tweety Pie's live was saved after someone shot her in the leg and Dr, Daman amputated her front leg. Benny Boo passed away, but Tweety Pie is my three legged miracle, and rips and tears around the house like any 4 legged cat. We only have wonderful things to say about Dr. Daman !!! Read Less

Tonight I made a phone call to Suburban Animal Clinic because of some concerns I have about my shepherd mix. I called very close to closing time and wasn't sure that I would get an answer so late, but Lin answered the phone pleasantly, listened to all of the details I could offer--even asking for more details when necessary--and then she took the time to explain to me the multiple solutions I may try for my dog's current illness. In the span of ten minutes, she completely reassured me and even taught me a few things about dogs that I never knew. I was relieved and so, so impressed (yet again) by the service at Suburban Animal Clinic. I feel it is absolutely necessary to share a positive review. Twenty years ago, my family began going to Dr. Daman at Suburban Animal Clinic in Butler for our Labrador. Daman and his staff were always quick to answer questions and provide advice in a way that clearly expressed their genuine compassion toward their clients--animals and humans alike. I can vividly remember as a child walking into Dr. Daman's clinic with my dad and my childhood dog, and laughing along with the staff about our dog's behavior, or the behavior of other animals in the waiting area. There was always a distinct familial atmosphere at Suburban Animal Clinic immediately upon walking through the door. In twenty years, that hasn't changed. Two decades later, I have returned to Suburban Animal Clinic with my own dog, who I adopted from the humane society in 2014. At my first visit, I was shocked. My dog, who is generally uncomfortable around other animals and new people, walked into the office waiting room, laid down, and waited patiently. He was immediately warmed toward the office staff and Dr. Daman and has, in the few visits since, remained so. After visits to a handful of vet offices over the last five years, including the Animal Clinic of Butler, there is no clinic I trust or respect more than Dr. Daman's. I will not be going anywhere else, nor will I recommend anyone else. Daman and his staff absolutely have a way with animals that I haven't seen anywhere else. Been going here for 5-6 years and this guy has given me great pet advice that no one else has and is very affordable. He was the only vet out of 4 others that actually took the time to explain to me why it was important to test for lyme and treat it before it got symptomatic and was doing damage... He goes on the radio too and talks about dogs and answers people's questions. This guy really cares about animals. Read Less

First off my wife and I have been using Dr. Daman and his clinic since 1999. We have always found Doc and his staff to be very professional, very caring and compassionate with us and our animals! Aside from the fact that he is our vet, my wife and I have developed a great friendship over the years with the Doc,his wife Lisa,his children,and the entire clinic. Their love for animals and their owners extend way beyond the clinic. Had a dog emergency after I had moved.  My dog was in a lot of pain and very mean due to pain.  Called emergency mobile vets who were on vacation & couldn't help.  Contacted this office & they agreed to see dog as soon as I could bring him in.  They  handled him with care & compassion and impressed me with their professionalism.  I read reviews that stated staff was rude but I don't agree-they were all extremely polite and caring!  Would definitely recommend this vet! I wish I could say my experience with Suburban was the same as all these other glowing reviews. I tried to reach out to this clinic about getting an estimate on how much they would charge for the removal of bladder stones. I explained to the woman that answered that I had sent a fax to them to inquire on this but had not heard back. As I and everyone else works and I can't sit and make calls at my desk. I informed her that we had taken our dog to the emergency ER last night, she was peeing blood. Found out she has bladder stones that need to be surgically removed. The ER staff was so nice and gave me the cd with her x-rays, will fax all the lab work and everything they did, I just need to get a vet as I am not established up here as I just moved from Florida. The woman was so rude, saying what fax, we did not get a fax, just going on and on about the fax, then would not listen to what I was saying. I am in desperate need to get my dog in and get the surgery to have her tell me that I would have to pay $60 for a second opinion...when it is not a second opinion and they would need to do this office visit to get an estimate from the doctor. I am sorry I am not made of money...you know how much you charge for this type of surgery for the anesthesia to the pain meds and recovery that you can give me an estimate (I really should have told her to look up the word and see what it says) and starts going off well he does not know how bad or how long it will take. I was like exactly that is why an estimate is made so I know about how much we are talking about as I am not made of money. I am not looking for an exact figure. She then went on and on about no vets give estimates without seeing the dog first. Well when I already know what is wrong I don't need the vet to see my dog to give me a diagnosis I already have that, please just give me an idea on how much it would cost. I told her that other vets do, I already had a few quotes from other vets that responded to my fax. You know what she tells me, well good then take your dog to one of them. WTFFFFF! Really!!!! But then starts to go on about this and that and the whole visit with the vet first. I am sorry I am not going to pay an office visit to find out you charge like $3,000 for this surgery. By the time I hung up with them my blood pressure was boiling and I broke down in tears. I am trying to find someone that will be able to get my dog in for surgery ASAP to make her feel better and get these stones out of her. If this is how you treat a potential client then no way will you get my business and I will make sure to tell everyone how bad you treat potential clients that are looking for an estimate. Just so dumb to be that rude and uncaring when I tell you my dog is peeing blood and needs this surgery ASAP. (The reason the ER vet would not do it is they are specialist there during the day so she said save the money and get established with a VET and they can do the surgery and it is a fairly common surgery and very little issues) I just can't believe just how rude and antagonistic she was and whomever she was talking to asking questions. Also if she spoke with the vet like she said she would and ask him about my situation, which I am sure she did not ask by giving the whole story that she called me back and to say he would need to see her first. We LOVE you guys!! You've always been there for us through the years and Doc takes the time to explain everything to us to help us understand what is going on with our pet's health. His comforting words in difficult times will never be forgotten. The girls are WONDERFUL and we are especially fond of Aubrey and Lin, as well as Sammy and Pam. Well over a decade ago, my family met Dr. Daman for a second opinion for our cat, Biscuit. He didn't even know us, but he went above and beyond for our family....researching and collaborating with his colleagues & keeping us informed on everything. When it was determined that Biscuit was ready to go to the Rainbow Bridge; Dr. Daman and his amazing staff made sure that we had ample time to spend with Biscuit. They also made arrangements for her passing to be with us after hours so we had our privacy. Words cannot describe Dr. Daman's compassion and reassurance during this most difficult time. At that moment, we knew our family pets would only see Dr. Daman and we became lifelong clients. It makes me so mad to read negative reviews about Dr. Damon. Look people, if you really care about your (pets) or as we call them our children, look no further. Dr. Damon has given our lizard, cat, and dog the best care an owner could hope for. His pricing is more then reasonable. He has even not charged for recheck or medication. I have read a few negative reviews of Dr. Daman and in my over 20 years experience of dealing with him, I have to say that I completely disagree. Yes, his people skills can be somewhat lacking at times, but his concern for animals is amazing. He came to my grandparents’ house when I was a child to euthanize my dad's dog after her hips literally crumbled due to hip dysplasia when our regular vet was unavailable. We weren't even current patients. He took the most amazing care of my mixed breed dog for 17 years, even though she hated him with a passion and bit him several times. He helped us rehab her through Lyme disease and a stroke and even came to our house to euthanize her when she could no longer walk. Dr. Damon currently takes care of my 2 year old puggle, who he has treated for allergies and a dermatitis issue. He also takes care of my 13 year old cat and my parent's 6 year old lab mix, which he successfully treated for Lyme disease and a severe lip infection caused by a fight with a groundhog. We have never received anything but the best of care from Dr. Daman. His prices may seem high, but if you compare them to other vets in the area, they are very reasonable and you can usually get an appointment within a day or so. Read Less
