If I could leave a negative star review I would. I had taken my cat here for approx the almost 11 years I had him. As long as there were no problems the care was great. However, this past July was a different story. I took him in for sneezing and discharge from the left eye. I was given a couple of medications and sent on my way. The problem came about a week or so later when my cat's problems did not seem to be getting better and now I added a nasal discharge from the left nostril. Incidentally the same side as the eye discharge. I went in again for a re-check. I was basically told that my cat was fine, he was not losing any weight. When I attempted to show Dr. Garber a video that I had taken of the noises my cat was making, he kind of rolled his eyes. I played the video anyway, and his answer was 'non-descript'. And again told he was FINE. I asked if there could be any type of blockage or something in there. To which I was told....Doubtful. Here's more of the same medicine. To do the same thing and expect a different result???? I had the feeling like I was inconveniencing Dr. Garber. To make a long story short. I changed vets. As of this writing my cat is currently undergoing his first chemotherapy with additional to come, along with radiation for a nasal tumor. I understand that a lot of cats have herpes in the eyes, but not ONE time in the years I had him was that ever a problem. This cat is very. very much loved and was taken in for regular check ups. He is getting the best care possible now at PVSEC. My hope and my prayers are that I will still have some quality time with him. What he has is fatal. It will eventually manifest itself somewhere else. The hope is to put the cancer into remission. Not only here, but if you feel you are not being heard, TAKE ACTION. A lot could be riding on it. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAT HERE! I wish someone would have wrote this, so I didn't take my poor cat here. We walked in and I knew I should've walked out after looking at the place. It STINKS like urine and feces, not the norm of a typical veterinarian office at all. The main woman working the desk was border line rude. Just sort of us him us around and rushing me to bring up my paperwork from the last vet we went to. I showed her the paperwork where it stated that my cat was due for her adult vaccination as of August. The exact reason I scheduled her appointment in the first place. Below that it shows she was due for her rabies shot in March 2017. Yes March 2017. The doctor came in a few minutes later and then administered my cat two shots. I then asked her to clip her nails, in which she called the lady from the front desk to do it. This lady is so rough with animals it blew my mind. I have never seen anyone cut a cats nails this way; it was disturbing. She then says, were quick around here, meet me up front. We get to the front desk and she hands me a silver tag and hits me with the bill. I immediately asked if this tag was for rabies shot? Being that she wasn't due until March 2017, why am I getting this. She then said you showed me paperwork that said that's what you needed. Ugh. No. I showed you her paperwork and someone who reads with attention to detail like they should, would see she wasn't due yet. She kept going back and forth with me. Charged me for both and when I asked her what happens now...is she over vaccinated. Her reply is, well she might throw up and be lethargic, but you showed me the paperwork so. WOW! Take a little credit for YOUR MISTAKE and also show some sympathy to this poor animal you just screwed over. I will make it a point to ensure that everyone knows what kind of establishment they are running there. No pet deserves that treatment by two women who clearly should not be operating this place. Take your poor cats somewhere else. You will be glad you did. My poor animal still has diarrhea and is not feeling well. Enough said. Read Less

We love Dr. Garber and his staff. I started taking my cats to Dr. Garber when he worked at a cat clinic in Shadyside. We lived on the other side of Murrsyville at the time and after our first daughter was born we made a bad decision and found a closer vet to our home. We were very disappointed in our new vet - our cats who had never minded going to Dr. Garber became extremely anxious and aggressive at the new vet. They were terrified whenever the carrier came out and it was just a horrible experience. We were delighted when we moved to Mars and discovered that Dr. Garber had opened his own office in Cranberry. We have taken our cats there ever since. He is very knowledgeable about the needs of cats and provided outstanding care to our two beloved 17 year old cats. They have sinced passed away and we didn't think twice about bringing our 2 new babies to The Cranberry Cat Clinic and Dr. Garber. He is the best around. Would you go to a physician who also treats water buffalos and zebras? Might it alarm you to sit next to a wolf or a capybara in the waiting room? The why would you take your cat to a vet who treats cows and horses and dogs and ferrets? Specializing in one species makes so much sense! And in addition to targeted knowledge and extensive experience, Dr. Garber clearly has a great rapport with cats and the people who love them.
