I would like to share my history and respect for Camboro Veterinary Hospital over the 45 years they have been my devoted "Vets". My 1st and only choice for the wonderful and beloved animals that were and are such treasured parts or our family and our lives.
It will be a longer review but 45 yrs is a long time to share, and our family isn't an average client, we are AKC show exhibitors, who had ponies and horses, and other farm animals thru the years.
I have been going to Camboro since before they moved to their new facility, I was 3 years old when I first met the Doctors and too small to see above the check in window. My mother had Collies and miniature Schauzers back then As well as a Bassett Hound and some mixed breed farm dogs, and tons of barn cats. They were the vets to all of them. And Mother and Dad spoke so highly of their skills, no matter if it was a passing of our beloved pets, or joy of puppies arriving for show purposes, farm kittens, to foals arriving, one thing for sure stands out, they always shared in either our joy or sorrow, and always made it easier.
I came to think of Camboro as an extended branch of our family.
Soon, I was getting older, they helped me with breeding rabbits, Great Danes, English Bulldogs, Dobermans, Horses, and finally AKC show Chihuahuas. Which is where I have bred, bred by champions, have been invited to Eukanuba twice, and have had a dog to Westminster. They took care of dad's Cockers, and Cavaliers, his cats. My sister's Aussies, brothers Shepherds....and their knowledge of all breeds....we have had to pull from time and time again.
They have been there every step of the way, watching me grow from a child to adult, and now care for my children's animals.
3 generations of clients for Camboro.
Dr. Rummel was the vet who responded to the on call emergengy for my horse, Pegasus and I were hit by a train, I was 14.
I made dad promise me he would get Pegasus back to the barn, home.
As I was loaded into the ambulance, dad promised.
My dad asked Dr. Rummel to help him see that happened. The horse was beyond saving, but only Dr. Rummel could of seen that promise kept.
Pegasus was safe in his warm stall before he left this earth. Somewhere he knew was safe and surrounded by everything he loved and familiar...
Through the years Camboro and Dr. Rummel saved and treated pet after pet. Whether our Doberman that was hit by drunk driver, to emergency c- sections. They've always been there. From educating how to breed better,
For the betterment of the breed, to life threathing emergencies.
I tried to move once to get away from the snowbelt. The very first time I needed a c-section in a healthy female...she was overdosed with anathesia, her and the puppies all passed away that day, a beloved companion gone, a show litter from imported semen gone. Words cannot express the sorrow, and longing that I hadn't moved.
I only lasted 7 months and moved back to Camboro....no other vet will ever be trusted with my previous animals. Never ever again!!!
They practice care as proactive approach, not a reactive one, like so many out there do.
Don't settle for the cheapest vet you can find, if It was you who needed a doctor to save you're life would you call around for the cheapest physician to save your life?, or would who get yourself to the Doctors that the best money could buy!?
****if your answer is cheapest you can find and not the best you can find....then I'm sorry you are not the pet, companion, breeding, or show home I look for when placing one of my animals.
****my vets can tell you I've been horrified by the some of dogs have come back from handlers, and from co-owners in the show world. So much so I do Don't work with those show individuals any longer.
Thank you Camboro Veterinary Hospital, for everything you do for me and my loved ones! Read Less
