*POSTING FOR MY MOTHER*I brought my barely five pound Chihuahua, Teddy, to Summit Pet Hospital & Care Center to get his nails clipped on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. I have been using this vet for the same dog for the past year. This time, when they brought him back to me after cutting his nails, my clothes got covered in blood. Upon examination, I discovered his foot was bleeding. I alerted the vet tech, who said it was just his nail, and proceeded to put the quick stop powder on it. We thought everything was okay from there, so I went ahead and paid. My daughter came over to play with Teddy and noticed that the pad of his paw was cut, too. We, then, alerted the same vet tech, and she put a tissue adhesive on the cut. When I got home that night, I noticed Teddy wouldn't walk on it much and I could tell he was in pain. We looked at it again the next morning and it had broken open. I called and spoke to the same vet tech from the previous day. She said they would be able to call in some antibiotics and I could buy a bacitracin spray. I asked if the vet could take a look at it and if they would be willing to cover the aftercare products. I figured it was only fair seeing as I did not cause his injury. At that point she was starting to get an attitude and rudely stated that the spray was "only $3.00." I just asked what time the vet would be in, thanked her for the information, and hung up. I called back later that day to speak with the vet. When Dr. Susan Stroupe answered I started to give her the information when she cut me off. "Oh, I know who you are. You are the one with the BAD DOG. All of those smaller dogs are BAD DOGS. You only bring him here because he is so BAD you can't cut his nails yourself." I tried to explain that his nails are black and my vision isn't the best, so I would rather a professional do it to avoid cutting him. She interrupted me again to tell me how that was not the real reason I bring him there and how bad he is, then she hung up on me. A few moments later, the vet tech called to confirm our address. I told her, "It doesn't matter what our address is, we will not be returning," then I just hung up. She called back several times and would not stop until I answered and told her they were harassing us.Needless to say, this was a horrible experience that should not have happened. Please, if you love your pets, do not make them endure unnecessary pain. Never use this vet. Ever. Read Less
