I have been going to Twinbrook for four and a half years and have taken two cats there in that time. I've seen both Dr. Simon and Dr. Smith, and they are wonderful. Always helpful and reassuring and friendly. And everyone I've met in the office has made me feel like my cats are really cared for, especially on the rare overnight visits. A few months ago, my kitty began losing weight, so we took her to Twinbrook. Dr. Simon ordered blood work and was very helpful and supportive, but nothing conclusive was found. My mom had to take Gizmo back to Twinbrook yesterday and subsequently Gizmo’s condition was so bad that she had to be put down. This has been one of the THE HARDEST decision to make and to go through. Dr. Simon and her team at Twinbrook were incredibly compassionate and loving during the entire process. Dr. Simon’s loving kiss on my Gizmo’s head after she passed shows the true love that she has in her heart for animals. Dealing with a sick pet and putting a pet down are both incredibly painful. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Veterinarian Jen Simon is arguably the best I've ever known (not that I have known too many veterinarians). You can see she has a genuine care for our animals. She always explains exactly what they are doing and what our options are. And she doesn't try to sell us on things we don't need. This place has always been really good to us. I moved here last year and within one week my dog had pink eye!! The staff here was very accommodating and helpful. Since then, my dog has been back several times for a few things here and there and also for his regular check ups. They always go the extra mile for my pup, even removing their scrub tops because they know my dog is afraid of medical personnel. These folks have taken very good care of our animals over the years. We had an issue with one of the Vets years back but he's gone now. Also, their specialty products (such as dental rawhide chews & food) are very overpriced. Have gotten two bags of them elsewhere for the price of one there. We met Dr. Simon one night at the Emergency Clinic, and we followed her to Twinbrook when one of our cats needed oral surgery again. First, the staff here are very pleasant, professional, kind, and attentive. They give you reminder calls prior to your appointment and follow-up calls to check on your pet. Second, the exam rooms are clean. Third, the place smells good -- not like "pet" or a clinical place. They give it a seasonal touch, which is nice. Third, the doctor does not push you in any direction. You are presented with the problem, the cause, the effects, and the options in a logical manner. Your emotions are not preyed upon. Finally, if you do have to go through with a surgery, everything that will be done is thoroughly explained to you before and after. If there is a surprise during surgery, they call and let you know about it. Twinbrook is with you every step of the way, and our confidence level is very high with them. My parents called Twinbrook and told them that we were bringing our cat to them and that it was an emergency. The first thing they said was "Okay, it will be $50 for the visit". They then brought our cat to Twinbrook after she was clipped by a car. I got to Twinbrook 30 minutes later to say my good-byes and right when I got into the room to see my cat sedated and life-less the worker said "So, who is paying for the treatment", meanwhile I'm bawling my eyes out. Our visit was very unprofessional. I heard laughing from the lobby and the work space. There was no special room for family's saying good-bye to their loved one, and also no sign that asks people to please be quiet. All this company cared about was them getting their money. The very first question the assistant asked my husband today was "how much money do you have to spend?". If that is any indication of the kind of "care" they provide then I won't be a regular. So disappointed! My husband hasn't slept in days because the dog isn't feeling well, and that is how he gets treated when he first walks in the door! Over the past month and a hafe my dog got sick couldnt walk they found out she had Lyme disease and started her on meds right away they still wasnt right took her back cause she started actting odd they found out she had a very bad uti..a fees days past and still wasnt right the uti was gone i took her back told them what was happen now and they found out she had an infection in her uterus and needed surgery. They always treated her the best and had her health at heart and gave me opinion and talked me thru it all even when coast was an issue they even said there are cheaper place and will help me find one and get her in but i knew that wasnt the best thing for my dog the best thing was to stay there with them were my dog knows them and trusts them and i trust them. The surgery went great and i couldnt be happier and i cant thank them the whole staff for everything they have done for us there wonderful people who truly care about your pets (family members) and love what they do. My dog Rudy, a Golden Retriever, has been going to Twinbrook for the past 7 years, since he was 10 weeks old. He has been given the best quality of care one could ask for their family member. Anytime I have had an emergency or issue, Twinbrook is always quick to get Rudy in to be seen. I have never had to go back for a repeated issue, they are always quick to solve problems and offer the best care for Rudy. The staff is always so patient with my dog, even when he is not so cooperative. For example, they have made adaptations for Rudy such as having his exam in the lobby or taking him through the back door because he would become so anxious and they didn't want to upset him. He was never anxious about the people but more the smells and being away from home. My dog's primary veterinarian is Dr. Simon and we are so thankful for her care. Dr. Simon not only is knowledgeable and skilled, she genuinely cares about our family member and has an amazing way of showing it. Rudy was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor, which Dr. Simon immediately noticed the signs and advocated for further evaluations and worked with us on the best treatments for him. It has been a tough month, but not only does Dr. Simon and the staff at Twinbrook take time to answer or return my calls immediately when I have questions or concerns (which is a lot at times), they treat Rudy with such special care and really take their time with him during his tough visits. Dr. Simon will sit on the floor to pet and talk to him and calls to check in on Christmas Eve to see how he is feeling, which words can't describe how appreciative we feel. The staff at Twinbrook were very nice and helpful! The Dr spent ample time with my pup and had great concern and compassion when caring for his injuries. It is over an hour away from my house, but it was the closest place that offered rehab services that my dog needed. They did not give my cat the right medicine to get rid of her worms. I got a cat from a friend whose cats had fleas, so my cat ended up having fleas as well and as a result, she also got worms. They gave me some weird cream medicine and it did absolutely nothing for her. She was still in pain. I had to take her to a different vet office where they told me she also had an infection, something Twinbrook didn't notice. They gave us all the right meds (which were pills, not cream). Within a few days, I noticed a drastic improvement in my cat. I am not pleased with the service from Twinbrook, also not to mention that the charge was ridiculously high. I had to make a very hard decision on 10/05/15. My kitty was very sick and had to be euthanized. The staff at Twinbrook showed great care and attention to our needs. I have been bringing my pets to this veterinary hospital for 25 years. They are kind, compassionate people. The office staff is exemplary - polite, courteous, and prompt. The docs through the years have always been good. Some are more conservative than others. I prefer this. All the staff are nice. Always has a good variety of cat and dog food - Diet - Allergic free - Depended upon size of animal - Ex. Takes good care of animals. And a lot more good things about it. There's Dr. Seuss books that the little kids can read. There's a notification board of the staff. There's donation bins that usually go towards animal shelters and hospitals such at St. Jude. And when you leave, there's cat treats for the cool cats, and doggie treats for the dog-gone good pups. It really is a nice place for the animals. There's heating pads for the cold ones. There's always water and fresh cat litter. If you ever need to heal an animal, Twinbrook Veterinarian Hospital is a great option. Read Less

I can honestly say that I've always found it funny how dogs always know when they're going to the vet and hate it, however my best buddy xerxes absolutely loves going in to see Dr weaver and the VA staff at twinbrook. He gets so excited as soon as he sees where we are. And for me that makes it all the better of an experience to know he enjoys his trips to keep him healthy. Any of the previous statements that list this vet as poor to fair are obviously impossible to please. Twinbrook is an amazing vet! The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and passionate. The whole staff took great care to make sure we were pleased with the care we received. Our two year old Beagle/Border Collie/Basset Hound mix had been bitten by another dog and developed a severe infection and being a new puppy owner we had no idea what we were in for. Dr. Simon and the vet techs explained in great detail what we needed to look for and watch out for. Dr. Simon made several follow-up calls and was very clear to tell me that no matter what I should feel free to call with ANY questions. We will be bringing all of our present and future pets here!!!
