I was referred to this vet by many friends that have been happy with their experience. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. My pup had a hacking cough for about a month and half. After two visits to the cat and dog hospital he finally prescribed a weak antibiotic after he refused to do blood work. At which time he reassured us it was not kennel cough but he could not tell what was wrong. Instead of running tests and weighing out issues that your vet SHOULD be able to do for you, he recommend we take her all the way to Malvern to a specialist. After the last visit with him I researched a different vet in the area (Allentown Animal Clinic) and took her there. They got me in the next day (Christmas Eve) did blood work and chest x-rays. They prescribed two antibiotics and a cough med. as well as letting me know that her weight dropped 2lbs in six weeks, which is substantial according to AAC. The cat and dog hospital never mentioned her drop in weight or a loss of 2 lbs being an issue. Besides the fact that with in SIX HOURS of leaving AAC she was a completely different dog, Cat and Dog hospital made me feel like and idiot for researching her cough and asking questions. As if he had a better solution. He is an old school doctor and if you're into a cold vet that could really careless for your animal then take them here. If you're into a vet that truly cares for you're animal go to AAC!! Needless to say, we will NEVER go back to the Cat and Dog hospital! It was the worst experience we have EVER had with a vet. A lesson learned, never feel bad about asking questions about you're animals and their treatment. Be their advocate, not just their owner!! Read Less
