We are the friendly “first line” of medical attention. Dr Gal’s long experience will diagnose and treat most of the presenting problems. However, he will not hesitate to refer a complicated case to a wide network of specialists. Our interest is to offer the best help possible that will benefit your pet, “not our pocket.”
We are your trusted veterinary family practice: big enough to perform routine surgeries and to hospitalize non critical patients, but small enough to convey a feeling of intimacy.
We encourage people to treat pets like family; we emphasize the advantage of acquiring pet insurance, but we will not abandon the ones who lack financial resources. We will help as much as we can, and will discuss the pros, the cons, the limitations, and advantages of the available approaches. Our prices are competitive and fair.
We publicly post our services and cost list for our routine procedures so clients can plan and budget in advance for the routine preventive yearly visits. Great vet. We have been taking all our dogs and cats to Dr Gal for the past 15 years and he has been great. The seal for that he was great was we had a dog the developed sudden extreme pain we rushed the dog to Upenn and they told us they thought it was an aggressive bone cancer and wanted to do exploratory surgery. We said no and took to dog to DR Gal who found he had Lyme disease and the dog was fine two days after treatment.

My husband stopped in This past Monday . I have a cat which was declawed neutered there back in 2006 . My Cat is now old and dying and this is my first pet so I am very upset to lose him and wasn't sure if it was time to consider putting the cat down to prevent suffering . The cat won't eat and can hardly do steps he looks terrible . My husband went over to ask what we could do and what the cost would be . We have 4 kids and on a tight budget so that was a concern for us . My husband asked to see the doctor and the woman behind the counter redish dark hair was extremely rude after she found my cats file . Instead of being concerned about the cat she said to my husband I recognize the last name (which was my ex husbands name ) and proceeded to say my cousin married her exes brother and he died of a OD and so did his son and she snickered like she hated him . My husband told her twice he was there for the cat and did not know the people she was referring to and couldn't comment and he felt very out of place . She continues to tell him and her co worker that she remembered that my ex and I use to live next door to the animal hospital and that our kids were bad kids . My kids were 4 and 8 when we moved so to call kids this young bad is beyond unprofessional or necessary. My husband told her he wanted to speak to the doctor about having the cat out to sleep and she snapped and refused to get the doctor and said to him she don't know this doctor she's just a acquaintance? Ok well I lived next door 9 years so I think the doctor would remember me . Plus according to her my two sons were bad kids lol !!!! Also if the doctor can't remember me from living next door he sure as heck should remember I referred my sister to him and he declawed her two cats Standly and Mandy and let's not forget Mandy's one claw left in his one paw by mistake !!!!! Oh yeah a whole claw just missed ! My husband ended up walking out of there and she laugh and said gave her make a appointment if she still wants to come here . I told my ex husband what happened and he went up there to see why such information was disclosed so ignorantly by her to someone who never knew his family or brother . She denied it ! However my ex said she was so red in the face when he walked in to see the doctor he knew she knew why he was there and exactly who he was ! So if you are looking for drama and to be talked about behind your back to strangers then go here otherwise in my opinion bad service uncaring ignorance!!!!!!

Dr Gal is amazing and the staff is equally as amazing. He is the most compassionate and gentle Vetenarian that I have had the pleasure of meeting in the entire DELCO area. He took care of my English mastiff Duke until there was nothing else he could do. Duke loved him as much as he loved my Duke. Duke managed to live a much longer (he died at the age of 13) happy life than most mastiffs under this doctors gentle care. Thank you for caring for him as much as we did. He cared for my Rocco (small shepherd mix) just as much and as tenderly as he did for my Duke and for all other pets that walk thru his door. I just lost my Rocco to cancer two days ago. I'll say it again. I have never seen as much care and compassionate tenderness from a Veterinarian as I experienced at Chester Pike Animal Hospital. Thank you Dr Gal and staff. We love you!

They are fair in price (which as a college student means a lot) but always deliver on quality. If your considering CPAH after reviewing their website and seem unsure, I recommend going 100%.

We have been taking our dogs here for 3 years and can't say enough good things. The staff is so friendly, it is always easy to get an appointment and our dogs love the vet. At our last vet we had to put a muzzle on our lab because she hated it but she is so happy when we bring her here! Reasonable prices and I like their approach to care - explains things well, gives you all the options but doesn't try to overdo things. We are moving out of the area and will definitely miss coming here. I would highly recommend it to any pet owner.

Great vet. We have been taking all our dogs and cats to Dr Gal for the past 15 years and he has been great. The seal for that he was great was we had a dog the developed sudden extreme pain we rushed the dog to Upenn and they told us they thought it was an aggressive bone cancer and wanted to do exploratory surgery. We said no and took to dog to DR Gal who found he had Lyme disease and the dog was fine two days after treatment.

My husband stopped in This past Monday . I have a cat which was declawed neutered there back in 2006 . My Cat is now old and dying and this is my first pet so I am very upset to lose him and wasn't sure if it was time to consider putting the cat down to prevent suffering . I have taken my dog there for about 4 years now as he was a rescue who came to me with a ton of medical problems, I can honestly say that not has the doctor and his staff made us feel welcomed but really shown me that they care for my dog's wellbeing. They are fair in price (which as a college student means a lot) but always deliver on quality. If your considering CPAH after reviewing their website and seem unsure, I recommend going 100%.

I have taken my dog there for about 4 years now as he was a rescue who came to me with a ton of medical problems, I can honestly say that not has the doctor and his staff made us feel welcomed but really shown me that they care for my dog's wellbeing. We have been taking our dogs here for 3 years and can't say enough good things. The staff is so friendly, it is always easy to get an appointment and our dogs love the vet. At our last vet we had to put a muzzle on our lab because she hated it but she is so happy when we bring her here! Reasonable prices and I like their approach to care - explains things well, gives you all the options but doesn't try to overdo things. We are moving out of the area and will definitely miss coming here. I would highly recommend it to any pet owner.

I thought they were great! Seen within 5 minutes of my appointment, explained everything that they were doing, explained possible treatments and costs, friendly and outgoing, didn't try to push meds. It was a good experience and I will definitely take my pet their again.
